English movies are offered on Saturdays at Millenium Plaza at 10 or 10:30am through Cuenca Car Share. Emilio, the owner, offers this service and the proceeds go to the Cuenca Foundation(formerly known as the Cuenca Soup Kitchen). Fingers crossed, you might not have to sneak away to Salinas, Steve.🤞🏼😂
😂😂 thanks Barbara, I saw that online somewhere (I can't remember), but I think the movies weren't necessarily the newest films, but I could be wrong about that
Interesting with the movies. Here they play the movies in the language of the country it was made in. So most of the time it’s in English with Spanish subtitles.
was just telling my wife that we can retire right now and with our pensions we can comfortably retire in Cuenca area. we visited there and like it a lot while we were there a couple years back. how is the electricity situation settling now?? I think for us is the delay on wanting to see the youngest in college.
Love your videos!!!! Please show us supermarket prices for food! Féria libre I went there last year and cost of nice apartments! I feel like so many people do Cuenca videos, but they never show really like the apartment prices for rent and sale like 3bed rooms and like the food over there if you guys could do that, that would be phenomenal!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 we definitely wanna move over there. We’re in North Carolina, but we’re gonna sell the house. We already got rid of so much stuff. We’re just waiting for the right time to sell possibly April to get out of here and go over there.
Hey, thanks so much for the compliment! We're actually thinking about doing a follow-up livestream based on these last few videos where we can answer questions live possibly this Sunday. The reason we don't have more footage from the supermarkets is because many of them don't actually allow filming so we had to be discrete. If we do go live it will be around noon or 1pm on Sunday, gotta watch the Eagles game at 3pm lol.
@@LivingLovingAbroad no worries I completely understand but the fairy Libre is huge is not like it’s like a huge supermarket outdoors is kind of like a farmers market on steroids lol they had so many great prices and things for the little bit of time we were able to be there and check it out but yeah, I know you can record. I think I like the super maxi’s or any of the corals. The man we miss all of the food we actually went to Quito as well. It was so amazing my husband‘s actually half Ecuadorian so we did get to see a lot of nice apartments over there. I didn’t get enough time to check out Glenco cause it was only two weeks But man I’m looking for like those nice luxurious looking apartments with pools and amenities, but I’ve been having a hard time finding them being that everything is old school over there. lol 😂
It’s amazing how we go back to the simple way of life and it’s so much more peaceful.
So so true!

@@LivingLovingAbroad There is that, but they aren't too far off. They showed Wicked last Saturday.
Hi guys. Watching. What a great plumber!!!!! Your landlady needs a nice thank you note, too. Positive reinforcement. 🙂
Mercados??? favorite vendors ? getting to know people/farmers?
safety?? thoughts
No favorite vendors in particular, there are so many options we rarely shop in the same places
It's about as safe as one could expect, we haven't run into any bad or even questionable situations yet 🤞🏾
You can definitely live comfortably in Cuenca on a small budget!

The electricity issue is fine as of now, however it's election time so who knows what happens afterwards lol
