Steve and Shon, We thank you for sharing another helpful and thoughtful video. We also appreciate your time and kindness in adding Spanish subtitles. We're Like # 100 for this video.
Just found your channel. i spent a month in Quito this fall and did a full immersion spanish school. loved it. i already knew i loved Ecuador and since i qualify for retirement visa through disability i hope to move to cuenca within 6-12 months. The people are amazing and the food is fantastic. OMG CHOLADA MORADO IS AMAZING. if you havent had it you aint lived
Nice video. You two are so upbeat and cool. I have a plan including Iquitos, Peru, where I have already spent a lot of time but it has now been quite a while. Best wishes for your Spanish and a fun life.
Great video, I just love you two, you have the perfect attitudes for expat adventures (and perfect timing for this video, although I've been yearning to move to Ecuador for a few years now). Regarding the 90-day visitor's visa that you can extend: Do you know how much time you have to be out of Ecuador before you can come back in? Thanks ❤
Subscribed! My aspirational spot is Cuenca. I've got 5-ish years until retirement, but I'm thinking maybe I don't want to wait that long. Had 2 weeks in Ecuador last year, with most of it in Cuenca, and just got such a good vibe. My Spanish is on the toddler level, but I'm a yapper, so I trust I'll learn to be conversational. I've traveled to other places in central America, and a bit in Europe, but I just feel like Cuenca is my spot.

Welcome welcome welcome 🤗 since we recently moved to Cuenca from Salinas, we realized Cuenca has soooo much to offer!
When does rainy season start ? Cuenca ?
I believe December/January
Would not knowing Spanish be an issue there? I know it's good to learn but might take a while.
Sometimes, but we got by pretty well with Google translate
