Good analysis, I guess it's hard to believe Sephiroth has had a change of heart about Cloud, obviously he knows more now than in the originals and his change in behavior has the intention of him suceeding in his goals... But it's so much more wholesome to think Sephiroth just wanted a buddy to be evil with

The reason for all this as long cloud is alive have memories of Sephiroth then he can all ways comeback, that's why he doesn't want to cloud to die and Sephiroth is very sadistic wants cloud to suffer. If you remember The ongoing theme of FF7 is "memories" Cloud having Zack memories,/false identity, Tifa having amnesia, cloud going to coma and Tifa had to go in the lifestream and for Cloud memories, Zack memories of Angeal which zack taking up his will(Angeal's buster sword), Cloud taking up Zack will and legacy/buster sword(memories of zack).it's all about Memories, Memories, Memories
What if there is a pre-madness "good" Sephiroth running around, trying to reach Cloud to ally against the crazy version and Jenovah. Sometimes it seems like there are different versions appearing before Cloud in remake- One seems to want to recruit him, while the other seems to just do what he's always done- taunt and manipulate.....
its hinted that the sephiroth all the way at the end is the real one and that he has compassion he does say carefull cloud,the other sephiroth throughout the game is actualy jenovah and he has no remorse.
@@Marcustheseer I recently learned that when you play as Sephiroth in the cloud flashback in Rebirth, he is a fully realized character, with his own specials, movesets, ect. They didnt even do this for Red 13 in Remake, and from what I am told they didnt bother doing this for Cid or Vincent in Rebirth....
Odd, and it makes me wonder if in game three some kind of twist will land the "good" sephiroth, along with other characters such as Zack maybe, as a sort of "last chapter", the way they have done with other games, like FF4 after years ect.
Its a longshot, I know...But you never know, and it DOES seem to be their mindset with these things....
They are permenant dancing partners. If cloud dies so does sephiroth.
What if sephiroth just wanted to make sure he never figured it all out
I interpreted Sephiroth saying he wouldn't let Cloud end as him wanting to torture him, as in "I won't let you die so you can watch me destroy everything you ever loved"
i always had 2 issues with this one sephiroth didnt just go nuts he spend 7 days researching and beeing in his own head making up all kind of conclusions that can mess with youre head second he wouldnt just attack his friends like that so my suspician is that jenovah also messed with his head manipulating how he saw everyone and thats what set him against his friends her lies likely.
and last part that the developers kind of never thought about much is when sepiroth went into the lifestream it was suppose to clear his mind make him sane again if that didnt happen that can only mean one thing jenovah has contaminated the lifestream aswel if not its kind of a plothole.
i like the story but the more time i had to think asbout everything the more i think that the developers left some good stuf unused we never saw things from inside sephiroths head maybe jenovah is constantly talking in his head influencing him the developers never did annything with that and in the story its mentioned that jenovah is a great manipulator getting in peoples heads.
i dont think the sephiroth we see in part 1 remake throughout is the real one thats jenovah but the sephiroth we see when cloud does astral travel all the way at the end is the real one,how do i know there not the same? wel in the japanese dialog the 2 sephiroths refur to themselves in a diffirent personal manner.
