This concept of "putting the heel down" is the same concept i remember my IWKA instructors taught me back in 2014 when i got my first IWKA degree, and this makes me understand even more that IWKA instructors are very well prepared, and that they teach the real Sifu Sergio System, despite being in another country. :) I will never stop believing that IWKA Wing Chun is the BEST and MOST COMPLETE system out there. (This is of course my personal opinion, and i practiced more than 15 years of martial arts) Thanks Sifu!
Your partner, Sifu Peter may be very capable, but he looks and moves like a compliant zombie. That is if zombies are compliant. I understand they bite a lot. Regardless, I would prefer to see rougher demonstrations with a bit of resistance using some more physical subjects. Wang Zhi-peng's throwing videos come to mind. That said, I'm very fond of the WT huen-bo sweep/throw in all it's iterations.
wow love this ... I've enjoyed the odd wing chun class in the past where take downs were utilized although I have not seen this particular ID of it before. Kinda reminds me of Judo in the structure and principles.
Funny how you show interesting things while Kernspechts facebook is only „touch my hands“ with pulling for months now. Asking questions and he blocked me immediately.
Throwing and joint techniques, this is why so many are against Wing Chun because they only think it's about blocking and striking. They view it as just another kind of Karate when it's so much more and when people are exposed to it's other moves they yell that's not Wing Chun, like that one young Ip Man movie where he fought with sticks never taking in to account that the sword techniques of Wing Chun can be adapted to sticks, just as the pole can be adapted to spear. Sometimes in my personal opinion I believe Wing Chun should stop trying to get accepted by the sports community and return to being a combat style, I mean look at what sports did to Tai Chi once a combat style now an exercise for old people when like Wing Chun it was supposed to be a style you could continue with until you were too old for other styles.
Sifu sergio i love watching your videos they are always do a good job in explaining and demonstrating the chosen concept. I have one functioning arm and i never find wing chun videos that show 1 handed self defense applications I've seen some that claim one hand but in one way shape or form they utilize the other arm.... Would you be able to demonstrate wing chun applications truly using 1 arm... In other words how could someone like my self who has an arm that cant grab is to this to block a strike because it can break and cant turn certain directions because it doesn't have normal ranges of motion? How can i apply wing chun using my 1 good arm? Please i would love to see a true master like yourself demonstrate that because if anyone could it would be you...
You beter do Some research I have been living in China since 2007 and been coming here since the 90’s finished the curriculum of several lineages here in China, Beter get out of your box think I have a Beter view of Wing Chun then you ;-)

ok. nice demo of lower limb attack
To me this isn’t a throw it’s a leg sweep and I call it Heung ma
Still a throw and not exactly a sweep, will show some sweeping kick techniques in some future videos.
