Sifu, I love you for your compassion, clarity in speech, open mind, humble way and your knowledge! Please ignore the upcoming critics at your person because they will be anchorless.
Where do they come from? From people which clearly walk on dark and empty pathways. I feel sorry for them. Maybe they will never experience illumination in their lifes.
Please continue! I am bowing down for the person you have become and will become in the future. My mind is following you!

@@SifuSergioChannel where you been, haven't seen a recommended vid of yours for ages, hope you and your's have been keeping safe and well this last year. Good to see your flow again, you seem to be one of the most knowledgeable and practical teachers I've seen, at least from amongst the western masters, so I must thank you wholeheartedly. There is a blonde guy, Neil Willcott who teaches Choy Li Fut and he does appear to hold the same depth of understanding and, importantly, communication skills that you express. He shows the lock, how to break it and then how to block the break, amazingly. And like yourself, remains incredibly dignified and humble. Seen a few teachers who torture their students for demonstration purposes and wonder how much they're learning on their tippy-toes as they're frantically tapping out. Good luck and stay safe. X

At long last, someone that realises the wooden dummy is not a speed and external force competition. Thank you for teaching it correctly.

Just Fantastic Sifu! Thankyou. Such high quality information. I can't recommend Sifu Sergios on-line academics or his world wide schools enough. I was a close student of the late Derek Jones in the 1980s,for 5 years, and my first teacher in Tai Chi was the Yang Family Disciple Master Chu King Hung in 1983 ( I was also later a student of two of his top students Masters Erle Montaigue, and Rupert Shoniake- whose class I ran in the UK in the 1990s) The material that the IWKA offers to everyone, right from the start, with such generousity from Sifu Sergio, was unavailable then, unless you were an inner door student and/or Disciple, even if the Teacher knew the material. Which from my experience with many other's in the 80s, and 90s, they didn't. The only teacher I put in the same league Martially as Sifu is the renowned Master Bruce Frantzis who I've trained with since the mid 1990s. I've been a private student of Sifu Sergio since 2017.

That's very true wing chin teachers were very reluctant to pass on high level techniques even bil jee in the UK

Hello Sifu Sergio, most people using the wooden dummy with speed but not comprending the real utility the wooden dummy...most important for me the structure, correct angols and pressur in the arms wooden dummy. this is my opinion. Davide from Italy.

Its like playing the piano. You must go slow and feel each note for perfect control and add evenness.

I like your explanation and agree that going slow is the key to develop internal connection, but I also think the dummy can be used in a variety of ways. I'd say most pure WC people are lacking in iron skills which can be developed through hacking as you called it. Bashing your arms with direct force into the arms of the jong will result in injury, however if you attack it with indirect force you will naturally condition the arms, palms, fists, fingers etc

Sifu I will be very thankful, if you make the video with all the details how to make a proper wing chun dummy, because I have seen in many families different positions of the hands in wooden dummy ( some are above and some are lower). So please may you help me out.

Thanks again Sifu. I hope my heath improves so I train again or I just might attend siminars. Would it be possible to introduce Xing Yi and Baghuaza in to the schools system as the are internal arts too?

Just perchesed a dummy it's a modern freestanding from warrior martial arts Supply do you have any advice with what I should focus on and what I should try to avoid with this style of dummy compared to a wall mounted version that energy can be applied causing that forward and backwards vibration

Another great video, Sigung, thank you so much. Is there something to learn from interacting with "dead dummies" or are they not as useful for developing wing chun skills?
