This is the third one of my specs that I bought my wife picked out this color is an emerald green with a like a dark charcoal fenders and stuff like that and we will be getting some more next year and I have some Peterbilt surprises

I think you’ll be pleased with the DT12 AMT when that time comes. I drive a ‘21 Cascadia with that transmission with a 505hp DD13. The transmission is very smooth, and works very well with the Detroit power plant.

How heavy can you gross? Why not just spec a hybrid aluminum body from J&J you’ll be way way lighter and still be multi use. If you’re only running 80,000 and need payload western star has a heavy single frame we run here in jersey. Also going to a Dd13 will help. The smaller Cummins is also a nice option for further weight savings . We’re building two 47x’s for payload right now sticking with dd13’s and Allison’s . The Detroit 12 speed isn’t there yet it’s in concept a Volvo ishift but not as smart.

Question . What was the selling point for you to go with the x49 than the x47 . When you get a chance . Can you explain. I have one idea that the motor setup is more in the cab . Not for sure.

Love that modified green metallic. Great idea for the exterior lights, cameras and some bling. The green JST on the rear sides of the bed looks very cool. Way to be.

We run dd13 and Allison 6 speed. We love them. Running 105,500 on truck and pup 8 axle.
Really? We have a 4700SB tandem with a DD13 allison truck is a gutless wonder straight truck grossing 62,000lbs a guy's foot is too the floor. Ya we have 10% grades here the transmission is in 2nd gear climbing hills sometimes 1st. A friend of mine he's in a 4700SB DD13 18spd he says it doesn't have much power. We pull a triaxle tag tilt trailer with a 50,000lb excavator the DD13 ain't liking it truck does it, not something you'd want to do every day.
@@Graveltrucking hmmmm we run it 4700sf. 4 axle truck and 4axle pup trailer. It out pulls all the isx15s we have. I’d rather an 18 but the owner won’t buy them anymore. But we also have a 4900sf (I think) with a dd16 and 6 speed Allison for a new heavy haul. 225k gross. Only downfall is horrible engine brake. Most demanding climb we have is cabbage hill though. 6.5% for 6.5 miles.
@@RaginGaming14 Had the mechanics run diagnostics on the truck to see if its making the full power. They reprogrammed the transmission it was awful before. I've been driving the truck for 6 years it may be an automatic you still have to learn how to drive it. Its not just put it in D and go, I will manually shift it when I need to. It is a love hate with the Allison it has its pros and cons. I prefer manual transmission you have more control. I'd probably buy a 4700SB if it had an 18spd. Tight turning radius, decent visibility, pup trailers are not used a whole lot here you can't get them into the places where we go. Dump trucks here go off road its tight nasty spots.

I like the teal green one, I don't think you're going to get the tare weight down unless you run aluminum bed. The 4700SB tandem axle bin truck with DD13 6spd auto weighs 33,000lbs with an empty 50 yard bin. Truck grosses 57,500lbs legally bin trucks are never legally loaded I was always at 63,000lbs. When it comes to regular tandem axle dump trucks truck needs to carry 15 tons customers are happy tare weight on a tandem is 26,500lbs. Trucks are paid by the hour not by the ton.

I retired from the base in Dayton, we we're required to have a safety chain anchered around them per OSHA so that the whole stack wouldn't fall on you. Know it sounds trivial, but as a business owner and employer, study the OSHA regs. May help later. Your makin the right moves!! Be safe! 🤟🤟
