I can believe that this awesome community will indeed have 200,000 people living in the area. A lot going on as far as construction I seen just yesterday and downtown shopping is close by.

Some of the benefits (as mentioned by the residents) of living in a planned community like Summerlin would be “living in a dream”. The residents of Summerlin love the convenience, they love having a very simple life. They can wake up and not even put much original thought into what their day will look like, because everything around them has been manipulated to limit what they can and can’t do, and what their day will most likely look like with the option the “Master Planners” have provided them. The community is very safe, it is a great place for family, kids can run free, and parents can live without worry.
Some of the restrictions/downsides, everything in this community is planned, there seems to be little to no room for creativity, diversity, uniqueness, history, it seems to be very black and white.

I like grass and trees, not rock and dirt with the occasional tree.

Well I have no desire to paint my house pink nor green and I'm more of a indoors type person . So maybe something like this would be cool.

No it doesnt. Why would the wealthiest area in Las Vegas have a place for homeless people?

AHAHAHA. Blue Diamond is nothing. I live in Summerlin, in The Red Rock Country Club in a house thats worth 6.4 million. You try telling me how much yours is. Also, the highest price of a sold home in Las Vegas was in Summerlin for 14 million.

There is some homes that are not as high, but Summerlin is the highest quality, and the wealthiest in Las Vegas, and one of the wealthiest in Nevada. Look it up.

+John Martin: do you have to be rich to live in Summerlin? I have been watching a lot of video's about Summerlin, Henderson, but I never watched anything about Blue diamond. is Summerlin a gated community? it's so beautiful around their. I love watching video's of nice neighborhoods. like if I hit the lottery for a million could I afford to live in a neighborhood like Summerlin or could I just move into Summerlin itself and live comfortable?

+Blaze WindStone: how is it living in Summerlin? is everybody rich that lives in their? if I hit the lottery for like a million could I afford to live in Summerlin? I know I couldn't take that million and move into Beverly Hills. it would eat my million right up. would Summerlin do the same thing?

The ultimate suburban bubble devoid of any real culture or interesting people all in one community the size of a city. Yikes.
