For me as an interior designer that house, especially the kitchen, is such an inspiration! Transforming something which was so dated in to one the most complete houses I've ever seen. Exciting to see what's next in the Casa trilogy!
This is so sad but honestly, I love the mentality that it is just a place and it is just a home as long as you make it one and as soon as you leave you call another house home

No, but of course since you two started a family it is important to have your own family close by; plus you always have the Monoco apartment for better weather. Still gonna miss it, i really enjoyed the Marbella vlogs the most.
Monaco is for for Jons business , there live most millionares in Eu. Taxes stuff and other things.
@@archys7 ofc, but as a swede i can assure you autumn(fall) and winter is depressing af. Dark/cold and bad weather. So it is nice to have a place to escape to for a few weeks here and there

This video makes me nostalgic about moments, when you lived in Casa Camo. That was a very intensive times, you traveled a lot and all that "parties" with creative people, jumping in the pool and etc.

I agree. I enjoy the process and feel like after a couple of years you get the itch for something new. I have lived in several homes, never had any emotions towards selling them, even the ones in the USA. I do however have a home in Spain, which was my parents home they built and where I was born. That for me feels like my forever home, don't see me selling it. Yet my other home in Spain, would not mind selling. Although my teen daughter feels about that home the way I feel about my parents home.

Agree. I've been to Spain before, but never Marbella, and am going there this fall from the US simply because I learned about it from this channel and looks amazing.

Well for all of those who doesn't know..Andalusia still has wealth taxes but all of you Swedish people with money and also Russians come to Marbella thinking that you could live here without paying any taxes? That's not the case. Spanish authorities have probably "found him" and demanded that he and also Rickard register in Spain and start paying taxes there which they didn't want to and that's why they had to flee!

Clearly they didn't pay taxes in marbella and finally had to flee Marbella because the Authorities found out and demaded them to register there. That's a very clear explanation.

I found you guys via your Marbella Casa Castle video and after that watched all your older videos retrospectively..this is almost bittersweet as I loved the house and especially the Marbella mediterranean vibes!

Taxes happened otherwise it does not make any sense that Ricardo leaves Marbella to a tax heaven like Cyprus, after he was looking at other homes in la Zagaleta, his restaurant Occo and his real state Homerunners, and Jon and Janni built their dream home next to his. I found it funny that these two are not attached to anything material

Not Richard's...Authorities fault. These people don't pay taxes in Marbella and the Police is looking in to all those who come and live in Marbella without paying taxes like it's ok. So they both fled fr Marbella as soon as they found out that they have to pay aloooooot of money.

Not surpised anymore... I'm expecting the boat to be sold one week after her launch. BUT COME ON 3.5 years is nothing; -) A few videos ago they finished the last bathroom.

Why did Rickard went to Cyprus? Well, it's a tax haven, but that's just a guess.
Im sure they will gonna sell monaco at good price and buy an awesome home on cyprus
Why it might be a good thing from an investment perspective...personally when I would have kids, I would keep one house where they feel at home and secure (and I think for kids a home is different than what grown ups may define it) Also memories while growing up and have a single spot where kids can relate to while growing up, I personally think is important...so I hope you keep the house in Sweden at least until the kids are grown up and have built their personality and ready to live on their own. Again, my personal opinion.
That’s a shame , Marbella vlogs were the best, Monaco vlogs are boring, the Swedish ones are ok, enjoyed the Bali villa ones, bur Marbella by far the best ones , good luck

That house was not baby proofed at all. First time a baby falls in the pool, they'd be outta there.
I saw Janni's video first, so this answers many questions I had. Figured it was because Dad moved and spending summers in Sweden...just makes sense. I feel sad, but happy you will be a family wherever you are. Home is together ❤

I'll add to the sadness that it's sold but also, so happy to see where you start building again. Cypress sounds like an intriguing place. You would be getting closer to the pyramids, a place that you just have to visit, Jon, you would spend days there especially the Cairo museum. Good luck and I look forward to the future video's.

Excited for you guys! Big change! I actually thought it's gonna be a your house forever as well (the proposal, cinema room, cool kitchen, little garden, so many cool things about that house), but I absolutely can understand the reasons to sell it. And having this big change feels fresh! Really excited for what's coming next! You're a good example how not to be stagnant in life!

Their life, they can do as they please. However, for a couple with a young family, stability and grounding is what is needed in life. I don't think Jon will ever be happy with what he has in life and will always look for the next thing. Money and big homes do not equal happiness. Grounding, calmness and the ability to see what you have and enjoy what you have, brings happiness. Stop and be happy with what you have Jon, befog it's too late and life has passed you by...
Don't have to have a "stable a4 life" to make sure the kids are happy. They are not like that, and the kids will grow up with tons and tons of experience around the world, and learn that being attached to materialistic things, isn`t always the way to go. They are still young, they will settle eventually ;).

Maybe they plan to do that in the house in Sweden
But they’re not able to live there permanently as they are tax residents of Monaco and if they spend 183 days in Spain they would fall into the net of the Spanish tax authorities.

I know recently you have talked about all of the cars that have been a bad financial investment. I hope you made out like a bandit on the house!! You both certainly invested a lot of care into it's renovation. You can always be proud of the beauty and creativity you gifted to Marbella.
I saw the listing online for this house. I think it was about €4-€4.5 million.
Depends how the market is there. Where I live in the US prices have shot up in the last year. But I doubt that's true everywhere, even for other US markets. They had to have spent a TON on the renovations, so the value had to have gone way up for them to make money from that.

It seems so soulless to put all of this effort into building your “dream” home/car etc etc and then just casting it aside and moving on to the next thing. Hard to invest in any project you do knowing it will be shortly left behind

Jon. I do appreciate your need for improvements/EXTREME energy, and I would probably be much worse then you (unfortunately) .
But, sometime you have to take your adhd and chill out a bit.
Cause no matter what other ppl might convince you in, it's not a a stable non-stress free situation for your 2 kids and your very much loving wife, to grow up in.
Maybe take a chill pill, give your kids a secured ground to grow up on, and to remember all the precious memories . Cause those are probably more precious to them, than you.
They don't care what so ever for your projects, they want you two and to feel safe.
No child ever, feels safe in an unregulated environment. And that's a fact Mr. Jon. Maybe time to chill and let your a little "ego" take a rest.
And I do say this in a friendly way, no hate or anything. Just lost my wife after 28 years, due to my impulses. Cause no matter what your wife says, eventually it's just to much🙄

Not everyone views life the same way. Traveling and living in different places does not mean that there is no stability. On the contrary, I think it creates a more stable and stronger person. Someone that is not afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. I have lived in different places and have seen first hand what travelling does and what staying in the same place does. Everyone I know who travels/lives in different places is much happier than people that have lived in the same place all their lives. As the saying goes, different strokes for different folks.

@@sakamotothecat17 NOT paying enough attention to what was important to her. Many times it's easy to forget yourself in your own crave for fast improvements. Mostly a woman doesn't want/need just that.
So eventually she's lost in her husband's impulses/cravings, and sooner or later it will be overwhelming.

Genetics play a very strong role in appreciation for novelty. Most people struggle to acquire a safe, permanent place to live. To these people it may seem shocking that someone would give that up easily.

Well, for them the logical safe, permanent place would be in their home country as they have a family net there. Wouldn't be too logical for it to be Marbella, as they stated, no more family there.

I mean, you do you, but for you kids you should have something more than a flat (if you can afford whole villas). Always interested in the new projects coming up but with kids in my oppinion you should've waited for a house to finish before you sell, now there aint really a place to go anymore. Feeling a bit sad for the kids (who btw should get to know neighburs and stuff and not just kids from the family), you guys gotta stettle somewhere...

The social part of our life is important, you will notice when the house in 🇸🇪 is ready. The historical part is important, sweden will be perfect. (But usually cold 🥶!) Cyprus is a bit insecure in these times
They will get super bored in Cyprus in 5 minutes. The whole island is the size of a big city

Totally get this! Can Rikard work in Cyprus? When I lived in Germany I had to have a work permit. Because I was married to a German I got one pretty easily. Always new stuff, which we love about you guys!😎👊 btw we miss Warner! Do more vlogs Warner!
As spain, sweden and cyprus are all part of the European Union, as long as you have the citizenship in one of the member states you can live and work basicly everywhere.

everyone should vote on the favourite homes. My favourite is always going to be caso camo, summer house i know but could be family home all be it cramped. if i owned LOL LOL (in my dreams) i would add a tennis court on the grass area.
I am also loving the idea of the Swedish home where Jon currently lives.

i know you need to move on and create new memories though, thats massively what i have learnt from this channel, even if everything is cool and perfect dont stand still. dont be scared of life. i never met Jon or Rickard but itruly do love them for the lessons that i have learnt from them
