Yeah I like how she takes up a more "official" position basically working with King Yemma at Heaven's check in station later on in Dragon Ball Z. I dunno how their working relationship started but it expands on her mystique a lot more. It would've been nice if we could've got a lot more of her in Super but alas. At least we got to see her interact with Freeza when she and Goku had to fetch him from Hell.
There are so many underrated OG dragon ball episodes! Seeing Goku reunite with Grandpa Gohan is so wholesome. For Halloween I recommend the dead zone movie and the Garlic jr returns filler arc. Since its about demons and dark magic.
The Baba tournament is actually one of my favorite arcs in Dragonball. My favorite arc will always be the Red Ribbon Army arc with Commander Red, mostly because I love that mini arc within this main arc were Goku takes on Muscle Tower. But the Baba tournament is one of my favorites to watch for the fighting. Leave it to Dragon Ball to actually find a way to make a classical creature like the mummy even more frightening by making him a lighting quick warrior who prides himself on his strength and speed. I kinda felt bad for Krillin and Yamcha for struggling so much against the weakling vampire and invisible man. I don't care what people say, I adore the OG Dragon Ball anime and always will. I love it for the fact that they tried to develop and expand the human and other Earthling characters still other than Goku. Z will always be a great anime for what it did for the franchise but my biggest gripe to this day about Z is that it basically abandoned most of the human characters and left them in the dust once Goku went super sayan.
Oh, on a side note, someone with a lot of Dragon Ball continuity trivia could help me out with this one. What's Roshi's true source of immortality? In the original Dragon Ball anime, Turtle mentions he drank from the Fountain of Youth when Roshi griped about old age and dying soon when Turtle had to scold him about the truth later. But in Super, Roshi says it comes from eating some plant that can only be fetched from some cursed forest. Was that a retcon? Which explanation is considered "official"?
@@lordcheesus1013 I could be wrong, but I think that explanation is also only for the Super anime. I don't remember seeing it in the manga, but could be misremembering. Super does have some differences between anime and manga which is why I consider that DB - DBZ Kai - Super - Super Films timeline kinda different from the manga one. I guess I wouldn't call it filler, but it's more like the Super anime did some episodes and ideas totally different from the manga.
