that's the problem with older grizzly machines they really good my 09 has 7000k on it and runs excellant I have done alot of these mods and all worthwhile don't see a need to upgrade my machine anytime soon
Exciting video!! It looks like the 2016 Grizzly's front wheels stay much more straight and stable on harsh landings than the previous models, which seem to really toe in and wobble as the front shocks compress (more noticeable in slow mo shots in this vid and others) I haven't heard or seen any comments (good or bad) about this from any reviewers. Yamaha must've made quite a change to steering geometry.
I bought a left over 2015 Grizzly 550. At the 20hr service, I noticed the boot between the airbox and throttle body had been leaking(muddy water tracks inside the throttle body) Should I get an aftermarket setup? Is there a good aftermarket alternative?
+Bubba D Thanks for the insightful comment. If you noticed, we pointed out that while our shocks retailed for $1,900 Works can build you a set of custom shocks without reservoirs for a couple hundred more than new stock shocks. That makes them a far better value than purchasing new stock replacement shocks. Now, if your shocks are worn out and you don't care, well you will save lots of money on parts.
+Michel Mazur That was a great machine. We were sorry it didnt catch on better with consumers. It's doubtful that we will ever have the chance to build the Wolverine. However, Mickey Dunlap from Four Stroke Tech has motor kits for them and can give you lots of good hop up ideas for the chassis and suspension as well.
I have a 2016 grizzly, and I want to get 27" itp mud lites. Should I get the epi sport utility clutch kit, rated for 27" to 28" tires, or the epi mudder clutch kit rated for 28" to 29.5" for a little extra low end snap, for when mud gets deep, or when it's time for a wheelie??
Peter Meulbroek it would be a bit easier to give you a definitive answer if we had tested the 2016 and newer model with both clutch kits. We would highly recommend deferring to Epi for this question. We have found them to be extremely helpful. Please let us know which one you decide to go with and why we would like to know.
1" wheel spacers, ricochet skid and arm guards, 26" original bighorns on stock aluminum wheels and $50 hand guards...K&N air filter.... enough already...my 2012 550 along with my riding experience + I still over spent. Too much dam money IMHO :(
ATVonDemand no we made sure that the tires weren't too heavy and that they were light bc the man we bought them from said that they were maybe a pound heavier than than the stock ones bc of the way they were made
With all those upgrades and cosmetic improvements, you'd be $$$$$ ahead by buying a new machine. It would come with a new engine and all new parts covered under warranty. Maybe that's the goal of this commercial.
The Ricochet skid plates we used in this test come with CV boot guards installed. We had to trim them down through due to the design of the DWT wheels. Check out the Ricochet A-arm guards for more CV boot protection.
LOL we reply very often to no luck needed. As we mentioned, this project is for the owner of an older Grizzly in good condition who may already have some upgrades and could benefit from a few more. Thanks for your positive contribution.
Touche, well i was a little off, lol $5200. You better love your old Grizzly to put that kind of money into it. Just my opinion, and we all know what they say about opinions, well to each his own.
that become a cool atv. but if i think it would be bether for me to buy a 850xp then i dont ned to do all this😃 .I ned a atv for forest work. a used 700 is sheaper but if i should do all this it will be more then a used 850xp.
You don't need all of these upgrades. We figured people would pick and choose the parts they need from our build to add a few updates or finish off their own builds.
Thanks for the reply. So a grizzly 700 from 2014 would be a good work horse. A polaris 850xp is probably 40% higer in price. So is it worth the price? whats your opinion? thanks from Joar
back in the yearly 70s bikes where involving! you could buy a harley through the px on post and have waiting for you at home! the kal 750 /z900 was top of the sports bikes, bultoco and macos were wining the dirt! vw and corvair turbos sand buggys was kings! some mil/army bikes and toys where out and we hab names like fast atack buggy and recon bike! it was the best of times for us young soldiers and dirt bikers,,,, now we have new toys and names. we find 10 year olds driving razers at the church's and mopeds getting tickit s cops! laws are being changed so we can ride on the streets! our worsted enamys are loud bikes!!
You say "we decided to build a generation 1 Grizzly " that is not a generation 1 Grizzly .((( Generation 1 GRIZZLY 600 1998 to 2001 ,GRIZZLY 660 2002 to 2006 ,GRIZZLY 700 2007 to 2013 , GRIZZLY 700 2014 to 2015 ,GRIZZLY 700 2016 to 2018 .
Thanks for the model review. We're pretty sure that most people know we're talkin about the Generation 1 Grizzly 700 since the title of the video says Grizzly 700.
Well, when your shocks wear our you will have to replace them with something. You don't have to spend $1,900 on replacement shocks. The Works shocks without reservoirs are only a bit more than the stock shocks an are far better. We're glad you're having fun though!
No, that's just how I talk. What's funny is that we have so many views and so few complaints about our commentary. We received lots of positive feedback from the manufacturers as well. Maybe it's just you. Thanks for watching
ATVonDemand No you don’t talk like that! You don’t go buy bread at the bakery with this voice. When you vivait your mom and have tea with her in the afternoon, you don’t talk to her like that, don’t you? It reminds me of Theranos, and how she took a different voice to sound more serious.
Great build! Grizzly is such an awesome ATV to start with and adding quality stuff to it just makes for a really nice finished product 👊💥🎉
We completely agree on the grizzly. You guys have the best grizzly build ever!

Wow you guys have that suspension set soft!
That's how Works set it up. It is a lot more plush, although it doesn't seem to bottom any easier.
My 2009 550 Grizzly is a beast! Love it!
I got a 2005 660, and it’s great as well.
"Just a few more add-ons!"
Throws $8500 worth on parts at the machine. 😣

BRAVO VERY NICE VIDEO, I HAVE A QUESTION, WHAT ABOUT SALE OF GRIZZLY IN GREECE? (LOCATION, PRICE SOME OTHERS DETAILS)
It will be a cold day you know where before I pay 1900.00 dollars for a pair of shocks.

I am sure, I can find a better set of shocks than stock at Dennis Kirk for much less.
@@robertj1834 With shocks its you get what you pay for.. 1300 gets you elka stage 3ths they are what most people have on their grizzlies
I’d have to guess it would also be a cold day before you’d enter your Grizzly in a Motocross. Those of us that have appreciate such refinement.
hello, great video! could make a video like this with a 2009 yamaha wolverine some day please?
+Michel Mazur That was a great machine. We were sorry it didnt catch on better with consumers. It's doubtful that we will ever have the chance to build the Wolverine. However, Mickey Dunlap from Four Stroke Tech has motor kits for them and can give you lots of good hop up ideas for the chassis and suspension as well.
Hola necesito ayuda!!!! donde va la bateria de yamaha grizzly 700 ?
Probably way to late for a response but can you still get that front bumper? and if so can you leave me a link to it
It's an older video but we're always happy to respond. Search kimpex grizzly 700 bumper on google. It appears they are available on amazon.
Hi, quick question. The Kimpex front bumper... is it the gen 2 bumper?
Neither ATV nor ATC take it so much in Japan in a manufacturing country.
The wonderful body.
I don't think the tuner had nothing to do with starting fuel settings only after it is running it takes over.

has the different offset wheels affected the wheel bearings at all?
I put 30 inch maxxis zillas on 14 inch it ss rims on my 08 grizzly 700
pankakedood 365 sweet. did you do anything to bump up the power or tune the clutch? obviously, we were after more of a performance Trail setup.

we're is the best place to get guards down by the boots for my grizzly 700 08

hey how do y'all get to test out ATV ?
you should do something like this whit the raptor
+stalinmolotov We are. You will see a few Raptor vieeos coming over the summer. Click Subscribe!
+ATVonDemand I already did after seeing this awesome video! keep up the good work!
Heck yeah, thanks! We will have some Raptor videos coming your way soon.

What kind of wheels are these?

Ey thanks for the reply xD!
OH! And subscribed!
Potato much love for the subscribe.

Agreed.
Wait...I thought all grizzly 700's had power steering?
Yamaha offered it a number of years without power steering.
@@ATVonDemand oh ok. The wheels were a good idea. I'm looking to do this to a newer grizzly to really get some higher speed stability out of it
What was the total cost?
LOL good luck if they answer that question, probably $4000, mine as well sell the old grizzly and buy the new one.
We posted the link to the story in the description above. You can visit it and see all of the retail prices at a glance.

Ruined it by removing the dash info center
We didn't remove it. It is mounted to the front cowling not the handlebars like the 2016. The digital display is still there.
+ATVonDemand I own a 2016 700 and I figured they were all the same
+Atvforlife no sir, your dash panel was one of the upgrades.
