    Encouraged me to actually clean my U.S. albums collection and give them a spin (though I prefer the U.K.) there’s still something special about the capitol albums and really helps to feel the excitement my mom went through at the time and the beatle mania that was flooding America as always great video! 😊

      Glad I inspired you to get these out. I agree, I prefer the UK albums, but it is fun to hear these for the differences.

      It’s funny, whenever I think of “ Dr. Robert” I immediately think of Y&T not Revolver 😂

    The first TITLE sync up on both sides of the Atlantic was "Rubber Soul" and the first TRACK LISTING sync up was "Sgt. Pepper" 🙂

    Excellent video. Great No. 1 selection there in Rubber Soul. I think you're a tad out with Meet The Beatles though. Brilliant album. If you compare it to anything else in the early 60's it's so much better. I actually think it's better than With The Beatles. Great videos, keep them coming!

      Thanks. I really do enjoy Meet the Beatles. It is a great album for sure. Just for some reason that is where it landed this time. I feel like I could do these a day later and the outcome would be totally different. It is the Beatles after all and they’re all great. 👍

    Hey, I enjoyed this ranking video Dustino, even though I'm not familiar with these U.S versions...apart from MMT and Hey Jude, which I agree has a jarring mix of early and late period songs thrown together. I think Rubber Soul is a fab choice for number one.

    • @BeatleDustino
      @BeatleDustino  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks. It is interesting to hear the Capitol/U.S. albums. Such different track listings and some mixes. I was shocked how Rubber Soul came out on top again. I figured going into this it would be high, but not the top. It proves that even with songs removed, if you add different tracks in it can make it as good as the original. Unlike Revolver where the just removed.

      They should have used "I'm Down" and "The Inner Light" on Hey Jude instead of the earlier tracks.

    Funny how US album covers tend to have white spots around the rimwear. My favourite Beatles US album is Yesterday & Today due to the combination of the awesome tracklist and unique cover art (butcher), not to mention it has way less audio compression than many others.

    • @BeatleDustino
      @BeatleDustino  6 месяцев назад +1

      Very true on those white spots. Might be that the artwork is glued on? Y&T is a great album. Eclectic track list and fun, interesting story with the cover.

    The only thing I find mysterious about "Something New" is that on the mono version, "I'll Cry Instead" is about 30 to 40 seconds longer than the stereo version as it has an extra, interlude I think is the right word. That's a throw away song but it's actually my favorite Beatles song 🙂

    I grew up with the US Rubber Soul and listened to it constantly at one time as a kid. Try creating a new version with the UK track list and add the US side openers. I have this on my phone and it works pretty well. I even use the US version of "I'm Looking Through You" with the false start.

    Hi Dustino, great video to celebrate the Beatles 1st visit to the US. I would argue that Introducing... The Beatles, The Early Beatles and Revolver are studio albums as Introducing The Beatles and The Early Beatles are shortened/edited version of the Please Please Me album and the US version of Revolver is a shortened version of the UK version of Revolver album. The so called stereo version of the Magical Mystery Tour album could have been a lot better if Capitol Records had bothered to obtain stereo versions of every track on the album instead of including 2-3 fake studio tracks to the album (pure laziness by a record label run by a Jazz loving/rock music hater). Thankfully the Germans would eventually do what the Americans should have done and obtain true stereo versions of every track for the rereleases of the Magical Mystery Tour album.

    • @BeatleDustino
      @BeatleDustino  7 месяцев назад +1

      That is true on those particular albums. The rest are truly compilations though. Even Rubber Soul as it’s shortened and added to. I guess AHDN and Help! could be stand alone soundtrack albums though too.
      As for MMT. I really have to hunt down that German pressing, don’t I? Aside from great sounding it also has that great artwork.

    • @matthewshelbourne9560

      @@BeatleDustino The German MMT artwork is a lot better artwork than both the US (canon) and the Australian (where I am from) album artwork.

    I don't agree with calling the Early Beatles a compilation album. It's like Revolver in that three songs are missing and then there's two tracks in a different placement. It's not like they are songs from different albums.

    • @BeatleDustino
      @BeatleDustino  7 месяцев назад +1

      I really don’t agree with it being called one either. But then again, I don’t agree with any of the U.S. albums not being called compilations. Tell me where that makes sense?

  • @dannymoulton4829
    @dannymoulton4829 6 месяцев назад

    You got Rubber Soul right. If you make a playlist put Nowhere Man back where it belongs for the ultimate RS. There is no reason to own the US Revolver and it should be way down the list, IMO.

    • @BeatleDustino
      @BeatleDustino  6 месяцев назад

      I really love that era of the Beatles. 65-66, the mid era. Which puts Revolver, Rubber Soul, Help! and in those U.S. albums case Yesterday & Today right in my sweet spot.

    Sorry to be The Great Curmudgeon but I can't stand these 'ranking' clips. Nothing personal--I hate them all. The idea that mere mortals like you (and the rest of them) could construe some list that put them in order of...what? Maybe some personal favorite or what you allege to be the actual objective best quality or just plain old good better, best without any fancy considerations? This is silly. I mean which Beatles are you taking about--early middle or late? Gonna do a separate list for each? Or are you gonna have Help compete with Mystery Tour? What sense does any of this make? Love you man, but not listening to this one. But let me guess--least favorite is Yellow Submarine, yeah?

    • @BeatleDustino

      All Beatles albums are great. We all, even you, have an album you’ll spin before the others. Plus it’s just fun seeing what everyone thinks. Like I said. If we all liked them in the same order, this would be no fun to watch.

      @@BeatleDustino I don't listen to any Fab Four records, not since I was young and they were still together. Since I've been an adult I think in terms of songs. Songs are the currency and the basis for any evaluation. And I disagree about the 'fun' part. I find it's the opposite of fun to hear other drivel on about how great this or that album might be. I guess you like humans more than I do.

    NICE VIDEO. THE HEY JUDE ALBUM HAS SONGS THAT WERE NOT ON EARLIER ALBUMS. MOST OF THE UK ALBJMS HAD LIKE 14 SONGS. THE US HAD 10. THAT'S WHY THE US HAD MORE ALBUMS AND SOLD MORE ALBUMS AND MADE MORE MONEY. THE BEST PART OF ALL IS THAT IT IS NICE TO HAVE VARIATIONS TO COLLECT AND LISTEN TOO. TAKE CARE. 👍
