So the Uber Box was the only one that got a decent book? At least they made it a hardcover book for the 8 LP. But I would have thought they expanded it a little too. The book seemed very basic. No more than a standard CD booklet.

@BeatleDustino Discogs is very similar to Wikipedia, in that it is dependent upon users to input, review and correct information. The ONLY requirements are that the user must be registered AND you must own a physical copy of the media being listed. If you do a deep dive into Discogs, you will find many examples of unofficial, pirate, and even bootlegs being listed as official. The second you list something as unofficial, Discogs software blocks the sale of that item. So if someone wants to sell an item, their only option is to list it as official (even if they know that isn't accurate). Often it is an honest mistake, particularly with foreign or obscure releases, but sometimes it is somebody attempting to skirt Discogs restrictions on selling illegitimate media. Don't get me wrong, in my collection of 5000 LPs, 45s and digital media, a good third of that is non-official releases. I have an affinity for bootlegs and always have. The Yellow Submarine I showed is a very recent release. 2018 sounds correct.

Yeah. The picture disc are interesting, but colored vinyl is so much more fun to collect.

@@BeatleDustino The Yellow Submarine you showed on the video doesn't have it. The inner sleeve is just regular plastic which is harmless. PVC is thick and smells like fresh paint.

@fbt25 good to know. I was hoping they stopped using those sleeves.

@@BeatleDustino Yes, most people are unaware of the damage it can cause to a record and even the cover. There's a video about this on Parlogram's channel. If you ever came across a "cloudy" vinyl, it's most likely PVC damage.

All the preorder announcements said it was limited to 5000 pressings worldwide. I got my preorder in with Amazon the moment they had it listed. I’m kinda glad they limited the run so it actually sold out and didn’t sit in warehouses not selling. It sucks some people might not get it, but at least that ensures the next box set will happen as it actually sold. Unlike the Archive Collection that there’s probably still brand new Flaming Pies sitting in warehouses. I believe that is why there are no new Archives since.

@@BeatleDustino Yeah, you're glad because you got yours. But if a major release like this is sold out before the release date and people who pre-ordered it got stiffed that means the Harrison camp did a horseshit job measuring the market demand. When buyers are getting blanked on pre-orders that means you have spectacularly failed.

@TullFreak I think it’s tough speculating on these big box sets right now. So sorry this happened to you. But it also helps justify the next release. And this one was limited to 5000, maybe the next will be 7500.

The new mix is fantastic. Been listening to and from work from Apple Music. Not through all the extras yet. So far they don’t seem too bad. Loved the acoustic Give me Love (Give me Peace on Earth). Figure these remaining albums there won’t be much for extras.

There was a lot of that on this album. It’s still peaceful and beautiful music. I don’t let the message detract me too much.

The Super Deluxe is great box though. Honestly, I don’t think you’d go wrong with any of the versions that came out. Enjoy that purple vinyl!

There’s ways they can do a White Album picture disc. But just a white vinyl would work too.

@@BeatleDustino But that doesn't have the BluRay disc. They need something in between. and I haven't bought vinyl since about 1988, so I don't care to have that.

True. Hate to say it though. If they put the Blu-ray in the box with the 2 CD set. I’d guess it would be $50-60.

@@BeatleDustino Yea. And a box without the vinyl would probably be ~$100. I'd prefer that. I haven't played vinyl in decades and I haven't played a 7" vinyl record since about 1975. I'm most interested in high-resolution sound files, and they are not available on the two sites I use. They are only on the BD and the box is supposed to have a download code. I'd be willing to sell my vinyl. I'm never going to play them.

@judmcc there should be more offerings for hi-res audio. Seems lacking from the Beatles.

I think the 2 CD set looks pretty good too. Sad they only put that bonus track physically in this set. But you can get it streaming. The coins have always been like that on the album. They are the ones his hand is holding on the back cover. They’re just more clear now.

I never noticed what coins they were until this box. I could tell it was coins, but no clue it was US currency.

I saw the beginning of your video. I thought that was odd I got the day before and your set for the day after. Here in the states if you order from their store I swear it’s a week after release. Amazon seemed to come through good on this one. The box is fantastic though! Glad I went with the Super Deluxe.

@@BeatleDustino HDTRACKS files file may be very different than those on your complete box set. And I wish someone would check the compression as the producers seem to be engaged in the Loudness Wars on these files.

I preordered it day one. Don’t know if that had anything to do with it? But Amazon is getting back to their old ways with preorders. I got the Tom Petty Long After Dark a day early too recently. But I like the chant idea for a Harrison release. 😆
