Is there a reason why the 1969 PBS special from the Mississippi River Festival was not included in this box set? It circulated for years as a vinyl bootleg called Lennie and Dom songs. Despite being a bootleg, it must have been from soundboard because the quality was very good. I have a copy although I have not listened to it in over 30 years.

Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul And Mary, The Kingston Trío, The Seekers, Tom Paxton, Donovan, Joni Mitchell, great awesome Folk music!. I always loved their music more like Dylan themes, I know is an impopular opinion, though I respect what Dylan means.
What a BEAUTIFUL package. I don't have a record player so I'll have to be content with the CD's.
It blows my mind that these songs sat on a shelf gathering dust for more than half of our lifetimes. Thank you Joni, for this amazing gift - I can't wait to hear these performances.

I grew up listening to all the great songwriters, so many and so consistently good back then. Lennon & McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and so many more; but Joni Mitchell's songs are out there in a special place for me. No-one else went so inventively and in so many directions and made them all in her own way.
So especially dispiriting then, to hear recently of her joining in the move to silence the free exchange of speech that is the only way we can preserve justice and disavow tyranny.
