Keyboard warrior here, Just some antiquated junk. 45 acp literally 120 years old. 9mm 122 years old 40 s&w 35 years old. In its prime. Ready to rock. Haters will say its not
Oh, I can't resist a good keyboard warrior battle. Try this one on... The 45 and the ubiquitous "Two World Wars" that you guys like to tease us about - I offer the question, which were the last wars that we actually won? Think about that one. Coincidence? I agree with you about the 40, I love it, and I carry it quite often. Yes, it's less powerful than the 10 mm, but it's also a much smaller pistol that I can shoot it out of. I would love to see it make it come back, I sure do know a lot of people that still love it... I think the manufacturers are just trying to force the issue because of government contracts. 9 mm is still anemic by any standard. Everybody has this huge hardon for it because the FBI went to it, and the military. But here's the hidden secret that nobody talks about, or notices really when they do: in order to get that performance that everybody says is "just as good" as everything else, you have to use a duty length barrel, amd +P or +P+ ammo. If you look at the details of what many police departments carry, the FBI, and even the military, they are all using hot loads for their 9mm. And if you listen to the actual experts in the field, they do say it but nobody seems to get excited about it. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, I carry it like everybody else. And it is cheaper, no argument. And I agree that it's easier to control. But it is only a reliable manstopper in the right configuration, everything else is just getting lucky. I also think that the 357 sig will always be the the classic broken heart love story about the one that got away. A 9mm bullet in a 40 cartridge is a good combo. Fun fact - there was also a 40 super, which is a 40 bullet in a 45 cartridge, another absolute beast. I like 10 mm, but the pistols have to be so bulky to handle it...
@@cobia224...Me too, but I like to make sure of the pistol is heavy enough so that after I use the 380 and make them mad, I still have something to work with. And a knife of course. 😂
@ I’m not saying it’s a bad company, but you’re not getting the same quality as a brand like Glock. G3cs aren’t bad guns but I’m taking the Glock every time.
Well said. I have tons of Taurus handguns, they are decent guns for the most part no issues. But, I would never put my money on a Taurus out lasting a Glock in any form.. that’s all. Glocks are used by the highest military in the world, police; have to pass certain tests and requirements etc. Taurus is only used in Brazil. Respect
I've had a G36 for years (almost a decade). It's my travel gun when I fly. I have a case club (TSA approved) case that is specifically made for the gun. It holds 3 additional magazines (4 with one in the gun. Mine does not have a rail so I put a viridian reactor 100 lumen light (came with an IWB holster) on it. It also has night sights on it, making it an amazing total carry package. Highly recommend this pistol .
I like the 36 slimmer feeling frame. And at that price, you can't beat it. Prices on non-optic ready handguns seem to be coming down rapidly. Win, for sure.
The one thing that bothers me most-the grip. The 29 30 and 36 are a bit longer than the 26/27 but not enough for your pinky. Glock then adds an extension that often comes with one of the included mags. Why not just make a slightly longer grip and mag? I get bit no matter what extension I use.
I got it at my local gun store! They always have unreal deals going on for used guns! $225 For A Glock? What Glock Did I Get? ruclips.net/video/IikfbXvHxR8/видео.html
I think your new Glock was never shot at all except for the one round from the Glock factory. I saw absolutely no barrel smile on your video yesterday. When I shot my new 26 it already had the barrel smile just after 30-40 rounds.
The 36 is a fine pistol. Especially at the price you found that one. Easy buy. However, a Shield45 or Glock30SF would fit that bill better for me. But the 36 is definitely in between those 2 in size and capacity. Nothing beats the Shield40 w/ a 357Sig barrel for my carry dollar. Pocket cannon.
You are very fortunate to have so many options. 👍👍All of which are better than a sharp stick. I would like to ask what is your preferred EDC belt. I use Kore however it tends to cause some discomfort to my lower back.
I love your channel and content. I have a bunch of Glocks, some sigs and an FNS-9C in FDE, have similar sentiments. I love that FNS9C, bought it 4 years ago as they were kinda being phased out. The 9C has never given me an ounce of trouble, its a tank!
Hey brother. Love the vids. Just have one small request. Can you turn off the HDR settings on your iPhone? Not sure why it blows out the brightness on RUclips, but it’s like looking at the sun
Just bought a new Springfield Armory XD M elite in 45 acp tonight for 329.00.... My first SA as I have Glocks and Shields and others, so we will see about the Springfield Armory. For the money, hard to turn it down for a new gun.. As always SPN good video..
Great choice. Absolutely great pistol. A little on the heavy size but accurate and dependable. You can use the 13 round full size mags too...grip sleeves available through SA.
On the upside caliber conversions are probably available for the Glock 36 I'd grab it mainly for a truck gun/back up to my EDC which of course is my ghetto blaster g2c
I looked getting a 36 before my Xds. I love the simplicity of glocks but after having shot and carried (very briefly) both, xds is just a better gun. If glock ever does a slight smaller version of the 36 that is closer to the xds, I would buy it
Ah yes! I saw that milspin Daddy Shark backplate. I have that too, got it about 4 years ago in honor of my daughters. And now that they're getting a little older, and soon wi'll be starting in the shooting lifestyle themselves, they still call the G30 I have it on as "The Daddy Shark pistol". 😂. Good comparison on the 36 too. Like I said yesterday, I wish they made it in Gen4 or 5. And by the way, the only extension I could ever find for the magazine was a plus one. I can't remember from who, though.
A shield arms magazine for this glock 36 would be interesting, maybe it will increase its capacity by 2 or 3 more bullets for the same size, like with the glock 43, I don't think it will do much like with the 43x because that one becomes a double stack with the shield arms magazine, but the normal 43 is so thin and remains with a single stack even with the shield arms magazine and even so they increased its capacity to 9 rounds, something similar could happen with the glock 36.. unfortunately since it is not such a popular pistol they never did it and I doubt they will ever do it
To me, a gun doesn't 'win' because of capacity. If the #1 criterion was capacity, you'd want a .30 Super Carry or a Five-Seven (neither of which is very popular, go figure). I would choose a G-30 over the G-36.. but I choose the Sig P-320C in .45 Auto. 3.9" barrel, 9+1 capacity, 26 ounces, night sights, great ergos, and great trigger. Call me a Fudd, but .45 is my "emotional support caliber". In all statistical likelihood, 10 rounds will be enough. I want something hard-hitting and reliable with a Pic rail, and something I shoot really well. The Sig wins for me... for now...
You were in Newark, but no way you carried into the arena. It’s a “sensitive place” in NJ. I’m 15 minutes away from Newark. Next time you are in NJ, let me know, we’ll hit my home range, Gun For Hire in Woodland Park.
I have a older G36 without the rail and gen 5 glock 27 and I will say i much prefer the G36. The g36 is almost the exact same footprint as a G19 but the grip frame will be slightly thinner. I call my G36 my Glock that identifies as a 1911 😂
Real life isn’t a movie but shit does happen so always be prepared!!! It took me 7 rounds to save my life but it could potentially take somebody else more or less you never know!!!🤷🏽♂️ If you are carrying a low capacity firearm i always recommend an extra mag. Now you do an update with that same gun and try to convince your viewers that the scratch on the side of the slide is the only scratch. Did you forget about all of the scratches on the top of the slide?
he literally showed the scratches, the gun is in perfect condition. nothing on it will be avoided by EDC. no broken parts, hardly shot, no frame damage, perfect condition.
Does any of that matter in a 5-7 foot defensive situation? Asking because I don't know. Will a 185 grain 45 not stop a threat but a 125 grain 357 sig will?
So an 11.5 mm diameter bullet that comes out a .45 makes a bigger hole than a 9mm of the 357 Sig and the 10mm…and if you ask anyone they’ll tell you bigger is better lol
