    They are such cool lizards. They have really grown in popularity since I first saw then years ago lol. Should have gotten one then now it's am investment rofl

    Lovely lizards and nice setup only things I would change is your heat lamp and substrate but I mean if that's what you want then go for it, the red lamps have been proven to cause damage to the eyes of a reptile so that's why I would change that and I'm sure that everyone knows that sand causes impaction not a negative comment just abit of feedback for you, I keep all my reptiles on vinyl floor it's great easy to clean also just spray n wipe

      Looks like crushed walnut shells, not sand. No impaction issues since they can digest the shells.

    What cage setup do you have? A 4x2x2? Also, if you can remember, how long did it take for your uromastyx to get used to you being around?

      Is he getting enough heat?

      The temperature of his basking spot reaches like 115-125F ... But sometimes like 130 during its peak hour...

    It sad how they are over shadowed by bearded dragons like salamanders and axolotls

      Back in the 80s and 90s the Iguana was the number 1 Lizard pet mainly because of Jurassic Park. I would say they still kind of are because at Petco etc I still see more baby iguanas for sale than Bearded Dragons.
