It's so crazy when I realized that there is such very different view between foreigners and locals (Thais) toward MBK.
Foreigners will likely see : fake market, souvenir, restaurant
Thais will likely see : restaurant, theater, video game shop, arcade game center, Japanese hobby shop, maid café, karaoke box, camera, passport service center, and much more...
BTW, regarding to the price of the fake merchandises in MBK, it was already well known among Thais that "whatever the merchandise is, the cold air from a/c will make its price jump so high." lol
so where does Thai go for shopping? for example, if you want to buy a fake watch where will you go?

Have you ever thought about using a more discreet camera like a go pro that's close to your body? It might help you get better interactions with people as they won't be so intimated with a camera in their face. There's quite a few genuine stores in MBK. One of the best legit Anime and Manga stores in Thailand is there, as well as a few great little Japanese brand stores. There's also one level that's full of genuine phone suppliers, as well as some big brand phone store. Most of the fake stuff is limited to just one floor in MBK.

I got a whole new wardrobe for 2700 including 10 shirts Gucci, Supreme, Patagonia. 5 Patagonia tank tops and 4 pairs of running shorts Nike/Adidas and 6 pairs of Calvin Klein Boxers. You inspired me to start my own channel. I just started Dec 2022 and the guy at the shop was like “oh you make the same kind of videos as Chris”. 😂😂

I had purchased a Breitling almost 12 years ago it was an automatic one and functioned excellently well until it got stolen after a few years of use.I had got that for roughly 150$ in MBK and what a timepiece as I still cherish that.Think there must be more options now

I’ve been living in Thailand for such a long time. Of course they won’t want you filming their identities. It incriminates them, as this is still occasionally shut down by authorities. They also have some new cyber laws where they can actual report you for posting their identities without their consent. A bit of a catch 22.

That's a really nice looking shopping area and that's probably why prices are high. They have to pay to be there. Can't blame them for not negotiating. I'm sure a shopping area that looks the opposite of that one would produce better prices
MBK has always been on the more expensive side when it comes to it simply due to the higher rent cost.
Also, don’t forget that the refreshing air con is included in the price too haha! Love watching your vids, travel safe guys 🗺️

There isn't really a "fake market" at MBK. Many years ago there used to be more, but since the government cracked down about five years ago there really isn't that much 'fake' stuff. In any case the quality difference is immediately apparent, especially with shoes.
If you did manage to find fake Nikes there it's pretty rare and availability likely won't last forever. They do crack down. Most of the 'fakes' are easily printable t-shirts and men's underwear.
How to you manage your luggage while travelling ? Extra luggage and all ? Do you courier them back home ?

This market seemed brutal with trying to film. Bangkok seemed odd when I was trying to film there as well. It didn’t feel like the same Bangkok I’ve been to several times before even off camera. Phuket is where it’s at. Still was entertaining to watch.

Hi guys one thing I came to think that no other youtuber make a video of, while you are in Bangkok, go to Bangkok Hilton prison and talk to some inmates. They have it open for visitors some hours a day and you can bring food and items for them if you like. Would be interesting to see if I'm correct, that's what I heard
I did went to Bangkok(MBK mall) last September and I bargain hard for MCM sling bag which actual price was 5500thb and at last i get it for 2500thb.. :)
