The butter gadget would have been easier to set up if you started with a stick of chilled butter! It would be the perfect size and not fall over or melt as easily.
Edit: Didn’t mean to cause discourse over sticks of butter haha! I imagine that, even in brick form, it would be fairly easy to cut a piece of adequate size if the block was chilled beforehand. It’s interesting to learn about different methods of butter storage, though!

Not sure where you’re from, but not all countries get ‘sticks’ of butter - the uk doesnt and I’m not sure about Singapore. That could be why they didn’t use it
you are from usa right ? i think only usa have those sticks of butter.. most european countries dont have these
@@elb8605 yeap, I’m from Singapore. Our sticks of butter are mostly as seen in the video. Unlike those I’ve seen from US RUclipsrs where one stick of butter is half a cup worth.
Or she could have just pushed the soft butter inside the dispenser with the help of a knife, then she could have chilled it.
For the shaped eggs, the clear/white lid is supposed to be put on after the microwave step, to help push the egg shapes down. Just FYI for all! ☺️
Was just about to say that ahahaha we have one of them over here. Egg needs to be cooked first then pushed down so you don't make holes in your egg.
Sorta like the boiled egg shapes!

I have got a microwave egg cooking pot by Sistema, on which you have to have the lid on and the lid got a vent for steam to escape.

Everyone concerned about the egg mold. If you pause and read the back of the package it doesn't say to put the lid on before cooking the eggs but it does say to put the lid on while it cools after cooking.
I thought i was the only one who ate chips with rice! My parents didn't have a lot of money as i was growing up so sometimes they would give me chips and rice as a snack. It's a comfort food for me :)
Same. I actually love eating chips with rice, sometimes I put some twists like having vinegar, ketchup, or hot sauce on the side

Your username has 2 of my comforts lol. Minecraft and ketchup, more specifically Minecraft music (volume alpha/C418). I have never tried chips on rice but it doesn't sound half bad and next time I can't decide if I want potatoes or rice I can put potato chips in my rice and be happy lol. Do you just use plain chips? My brother made spaghetti once and put Nacho Cheese Doritos in it. It was amazing!
Potato chip crumbs on rice actually blew my mind. I never thought to try that but it sounds so good!
As someone who loves furikake, it makes a lot of sense in retrospect but I never would have thought to use it

The standing rice bears looked really cute. Feel like those plus the egg shapes would go over well with kids. Too bad the egg shaper warped after just a single use though

The lid is not microwave safe and should be put on after the eggs are cooked. Mistakes were made. :O
I love the ice dish. Would be perfect for shrimp cocktail.

Oh my goodness, I want one of those tiny egg beater/electric whisk things you used to whip eggs!! (Not even one of the 10 products, but I like it best. Lol)

Okay, the little Dancing Bacons made out of ham really made me smile! So cute!
That one stuck me as silly and useless fidgeting. Maybe for 5-year-olds, but not for anybody older than that.
I think the egg shaper needs a little less egg in it so when the egg expands in the microwave it don't ruin the mold.
The Potato crisp grinder is my number 1 gadget by far, now you can make your own furikake (rice topper) by adding some seaweed and other flavour of crisp too!
The bear rice mold might come out more clean if we use a little bit of sesame oil to coat the inside?
That ice bowl is nice wish they had one for whisky tumbler.
Also a bit of oil would've prevented the sticking
Another commenter pointed out that you're not supposed to place the lid on the gadget whole microwaving and only while it was cooling. That could also explain why tje kid was warped after only being used once.
For future reference if you are ever cutting into rice wrapped with nori dunk the knife in water first to prevent sticking. Also thank you for the egg cutting one! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how something that stuff wrapped around the egg! 🤪
I love the little letter press thing!!!! I made a pie once, cut out P-I-E from some pastry dough, popped it on top, and when the pie had cooked, pointed to the label on top to show my boyfriend. I made pie!
Those ice mold is great especially when you can use jelly instead water too 😊

I feel like the fried egg mold could have benefited from a quick spritz of cooking oil spray...like Pam. Or is that not a thing outside the U.S.?
This video didn't just introduce me to some Japanese kitchen gadgets but I guess it also taught me some recipe ideas to try too
As something of a kitchen gadget fanatic, some of these drive me nuts. The potato chip grinder, for instance, can be done even easier with your own hands. And that butter dispenser strikes me as a solution in search of a problem that doesn't really exist.
The ice dish mold is perhaps the most versatile one of the bunch. Imagine using your favorite flavor of yogurt or maybe a refreshing fruit juice instead of water. The possibilities are endless. ♥
I think 90% of these $ store type gadgets are answers to problems that don't exist 😁 but somehow they suck people in

I brought back one of those butter spreaders as a souvenir for a colleague. He had it for 14 years, and now it’s with his daughter after she got married, still going strong.

The butter dispenser reminded me of a glue stick more than a lipstick. It looked hard to clean though effective in use.
Also, weren't they mini omelettes not mini fried eggs (like the gadget name), since the egg was beaten and there wasn't any frying involved? The egg cutter was cute though if you like hard boiled eggs.

I mean I'm Russian and I can tell you that in Russian ethnic stores we have vodka sold. It's a multi-purpose gadget that can solve all your problems. And don't throw away the bottle. It's very handy too whether you want to get rid of your spouse, get inheritance, or just solve any kind of personal problem that you have with other people.

Honorable mention to the butter stick and pancake maker. I see so many people struggle to make a nice one. This looks like a good solution.

I thought, at first, they all looked cheap and gimmicky. But damn it, after watching the video, I want several of them! I was surprised by the fact most of them actually work quite well.

The chip grinder....the best...when you pan fry fish ( or oven bake) use sour creme and onion chips on your fish INSTEAD OF BREAD CRUMBS YUMMY...especially on baked ling

Cute toys. You did a nice job preparing the Musubi. One tip there...dip your knife in water between each cut. It really helps get nice cuts (same with sushi rolls of course). Otherwise, the rice becomes like glue on the blade and it pulls your Musubi or sushi apart when you cut it. Thanks for all your videos. I really love them. Your channel is my absolute favorite.
I can't believe there's even gadgets for making patterns on boiled eggs! We always used a knife! But the gadgets are always so cute

For the fried egg one, try a glass bowl with a little water then sit it inside of that to microwave :) Also to avoid sticking, grease the mold, love your videos !! ❤

UK butter is sold in 250g blocks. I put half a block in a tub, and microwave it for 8 to 10 seconds. Instantly spreadable.
it's like walking through your local "As Seen On TV" store at your local mall. Or MY kitchen after my wife's stayed awake one Friday night and bought out the HSN. And the musubi maker (Spam omelet sushi) looks like something I would have used after a night drinking back in the 70's. Looks better than fried Spam and chicken noodle soup.

You are very forgiving of these gadgets. I thought the microwave egg one was a fail. The ice bowl was very clever. :)
Of all the gadgets in this video the only thing I tought interesting enough that I would actually buy was the mini electric whisk.
The egg gadget works better if you use a fresh egg or remove the watery whites from the refrigerated egg. When you crack an egg you will see the yolk and the white, but then there is also a thinner white liquid that will easily separate from the former. This creates less water vapour to escape while cooking 👍

I love Japanese Gadgets lol. I wanna try the chips on rice and the bear rice molds. They look fun. And the butter stick thing seems, handy to have. Where did you get the handheld mini mixer to mix the eggs with?? Its super cute I think i need one, just bcuz lol.....the fluffy pancake mold looks easy to use. I havent tried them before, i always thought they were hard to make. I would love to try them. They look yummy! 😋
I thought the same about the little electric whisk. I don't have a regular electric mixer and my milk frother is too weak to do anything but froth milk.

I chilled the butter till it was rock solid before putting it in the gadget and it worked amazingly well so I’d say it’s really useful esp on hot toast ^^ the crumbs sometimes stick on the butter tho so I do have to scrape it off afterwards to prevent spoilage
