I like the flat cups honestly. Seems like a great way to transport them to go camping or a picnic or something with easy storage
Was thinking the same thing. I’d leave those in my picnic bag to have handy.
I had flat cups before 1 was for me and 1 was for my brother,but it's broken now
I would use for camping too.
We have colapsable silicon cups for camping in america.
Also ones for animals so you can carry a water bowl around.

Honestly, it feels like cheap Japanese gadgets have a more-than-acceptable minimum quality to them. I love that they have these cheap, janky packages but you'll have the tool within for years.

I really need the egg boiling Gadget, that is so useful especially since I prefer my eggs medium-soft and I can never seem to get it right!!
add eggs to boiling water but lower the temperature
simmer it in low temperature
then stop at 5 or 6 or 7 mins however you like it.
use cold water to cool the eggs down otherwise it'll get cooked
I have one I got off Amazon. I love it! I like a runny yoke and it's perfect everytime.😊
6 mins for soft 10 for medium 13-14 for hard thats how i do my eggs
Ikr especially cook a lot vs one or two takes different times 👌🏻

I like how these products work despite being cheap. I get something at the dollar store here and it breaks on the car ride home

They are from Daiso. In the US it’s more like $1.50 store. And items range from $1.5 to $2,3, 5 dollars or more. We have them in the West coast.
@@jz4057 we got daiso here in vancouver, but there arent a lot of stores as far as i know. Miniso has taken over lol
I actually really liked the egg timer gadget. Instead of using an actual timer you can put it in the water with the eggs and get them just the way you want them without all the hassle
Yeah I always forget how many minute you need em in for and cant get it right... this thing would be so handy

That egg boiler didnt boil them far enough tough.. the hard boiled had a softish yolk still. Not really hard :(

I've got the egg cooking timer. No clue where it's from, but it was my grandma's and at least 50 years old. Still works well.
These gadget related videos are really underrated now, such a shame :/

Last time I saw the crazy Russian he had this chain gadget that opened geodes! He had one from Mexico and one from the US.

Those sealing gadgets have been around for ages. And as a picnicker and camper, I love the mini stove. Wish I could find that where I live.
I believe it's the same concept as esbit stove's, however esbit tablets, if I remember correctly, release carcinogenic fumes which aren't too recommended. Switzerland however has a similar thing to alcohol stoves, same concept but less chance of spilling it as the alcohol there comes in a jelly form. One ready to use version are called notkocher (emergency cooker/stove) which the Swiss military also uses. Those are my favourite as they don't take up much space like the esbit stove.

@@milspill27 Sorry for the late reply, just saw this. I actually do have one of those Esbit stoves (well, an emergency Coleman stove that's exactly like it), but it doesn't fold down nearly as flat, and it also doesn't have the cooking surface, which are the main things I liked about the one in the video. I keep the one I have in my mess bag with my other camping supplies, but I can see me carrying around the one in this video, just in case I felt the urge to grill something tiny. 😆
The mini-stove is a good portion control item as well. That steak looks about the right portion size.
Maybe you can even make an egg on it

Amazon sells them for cheap, I just recently bought a minimalist designed butane burner/gas stove from Snow peak, it was expensive but the quality is top notch it folds out and folds back in after removing the can of butane, and the safety feature is excellent it uses a magnet to keep the can of butane held firmly in place and won’t start unless it’s engaged, besides the close able cover that has a vent for the gas escape etc.
Other than needing cans of butane if you ever need a portable stove this unit will see your needs served, it’s also great for cooking at home just be more aware if inside etc and get a heat mat.
I have one of those egg-timers! It works really well, but with mine you can't really trust the 'doneness' scale, if you want medium eggs you have to take them out as soon as it gets to the marker for soft 😅
Could it be due to the size of the egg? I'm assuming the egg-timer measures for those eggs around the size of the gadget.
@@blueraineee true, japanese eggs are fairly larger than standard large or jumbo western eggs.
Gadget has to be also at same temperature as eggs.
The egg timer is amazing. As someone who's not very good at cooking, having a perfectly cooked boiled egg just makes me so happy lol. Definitely a must!
The mini-stove is an Espit stove and they can be frequently found in military ration packs.
I love the way the military tries out things first: camping equipment, survival clothing, medications, foods, etc.
It is super cute and would be nice for a day of hiking.

Omg I remember going to Japan in 2016 and my friends and I were at this store like every day getting stuff to take home. I still have my laundry pouches, bowl and cup coverings, sushi rollers, etc…. Lol random stuff that’s surprisingly super useful.
The corn peeler works best if you rest the bottom of the cob on a plate. My mom has one of those and it works quite well once you get the hang of it.
I love the flat cups.
So much more convenient when packing a picnic. Sits nice and flat in the basket and takes up so little space.
I hope the local Daiso will stock some for me soon!

I prefer to use a timer.
Eggs in cold water to start.
High heat.
Set timer after about 5ish minutes it will start to boil.
As soon as you see the bigger bubbles. This is called a rolling boil.
Time another
2mins for soft
3mins for medium
5mins for hard
Turn off heat count 30 seconds then plunge into cold water. As soon as cool enough to touch you can shell them.
The flat cups are like one of the best paper things ever I guess takes less space , portable , and environment friendly too I guess ?

All of these gadgets are quite nice despite being from a dollar style store. But for me I really like that toast shaped plate you have! It is so adorable.

For the "ham flower" gadget, It was very cool but where did you find the toothpick holder? I found that very interesting.
That egg boiling thingy and the bag resealing thingy are cool as hell!
I like the sealer lid for your snack cups and the foldable cups is a pretty cool concept to save up space and easy to dispose of 👍👌👀. The mini stove is also cool to but I'm sure I may have to pay the bulk of money just to buy the fuel blocks especially here in the Caribbean if they are available
I really like the snack cover+tongs, especially since I can never snack and play like I want to, the problem is that I don't see those cups of snacks. Usually they're in packets.
I think you can buy the plastic cups that the lid will fit and can refill the cup from your packets as you finish them.
If you could locally buy the solid fuel blocks, that mini stove is amazing. Simple but effective; especially if you want to try new ways to cook or season your food without the hastle of turning on an oven or getting it all set up.
Or just to cook a snack.

The mini stove would be perfect for backpacking or part of an emergency kit.

I liked the tiny measuring jug he used for the oil in the last gadget.
I got that exact egg timer and also a kitty one with the bag sealer. Both are great but the sealer is battery operated and you have to squeeze for a few seconds so it warms up. Also I bought it in the USA. Thanks to Daiso.

I have one of these egg timers and it works amazing. All you people posting how to do it without the gadget... Yes, that's nice. I've tried all the methods, and never consistently had good hard boiled eggs until I bought this little timer.

You need to moderate the heat from your gas range. The fried egg shouldn't have browned on the bottom and your boiled eggs wouldn't have cracked if the heat had been applied more gently.
It’s pretty common in asian cooking to brown fried eggs on the bottom.
@@thatpeskyrat - What isn't common in Asian cooking is to overcook eggs. I hope we can both agree that is what happened here and that this a problem easily remedied by proper temperature maintenance.

The bag sealers are great to keep around. They do work. When running it across to seal, you have to go slower. It takes a tad to get hit and build the friction to seal it good.

You cook eggs weird. You put eggs in cold water, then boil. That way, you won't break the shell while they cook. In saying that, I have that egg gadget, and im in love with it.

Those Daiso store are amazing, the dollar/pound/euro stores are nothing compared to the Japanese ones.
I liked that mini stove, I could sure use it during the summertime for a fast snack outside at work, just have everything ready in the lunch bag set up outside at the picnic area or smoking table. The flat cups would be great also for taking meds on the go.
Always wash items for food attached to packaging, it's been handled way too much to just start use immediately!

You can use chopsticks to pick up the snacks! I learned this trick from that photo of Oscar Isaac and never looked back. Clean fingers!

I have the egg gadget from good old UK Poundland for £1 and it actually works. I use it if I am in the kitchen cooking, otherwise I use a digital timer.
