Definitely a great point. Alex is one of those players that is exciting to watch because when he’s on fire, it’s like he’s everywhere! Moving this way and that like a demon (pun intended😉). Okay, so he lost, but he had a great run, picked up a healthy cheque, and dazzled his home crowd on his way out with a valiant display in his final match. He should be proud of himself!
@@PaDutchRunner comes down to foot speed and stamina. a quick high school athlete any sport soccer or basketball with little tennis training can make this shot - there is not net to clear just get the ball beyond the tram lines. Actually, we can believe it 'cause Roger and Rafa, I believe took tennis to this level of problem-solving, and Novak of course, so it's great it's still at that level. Great athleticism.. : )
They're a great matchup when they face off! 🔥 match great baseline play from both but Demon lacks top tier serve placement/form when it matters against a top tier opponent as well as just less on the forehand...both are two of my favorite still! Rublevs line striking forehand ability was too epic..
Alex ha mejorado mucho su juego desde que ganó el abierto de México en Acapulco en el 2023. Good luck for future Alex! I’m sure you will get much better!!
El Sr. Federer hizo lo mismo frente a Kyrios wuien quedó con la boca abierta. Es una maniobra fantástics pero después Andrey jugó von toda su alma hssta agotar el ímpetu de Miñaur
At Murray's peak he has Di Minaur speed + better backhand, better slice, top tier lob, better volleys and net plays, and faster first serve. He's Di Minaur with a massive massive upgrade.
this is why in volleyball there are antennas that don't allow the ball to go around the poles or its trajectory to go out of bounds and then back in bounds.
different sports...it could be banned but would be very hard to enforce. because it's very rare and when it happens it's fun and spectacular they never really bothered. can you imagine adding more line judges, . in volley it would be very easy for pro players to pass the ball to a player far on the side who Would have a completely unobstructed shot so they HAD to come with a solution.
I can, because Federer did this 16 times in his career. I still remember watching a friend from high school do the same thing in her match, then her opponent disputing the point. She had to retort, "I guess you don't watch any professional tennis. If it's good enough for the pros, it's good enough here." It took the opposing coach to tell her it was good, to, um, make her quiet, and play on.
Does the Height of ball matter when it crosses the net like the last stylish shot was way below the height of the net so will it be considered a legal shot in Lawn Tennis 🎾
I first saw this happen in a US final back in the 80s between Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl when Jimmy Connors did it and there was discussions whether it was legal or not.

Alex played the tournament of his life, it was sad that he had to face an on fire Rublev
Someone has to lose no?
He played the match of his life: he would have won the tournament if he won this one
@@Luchon20082010😂😂😂
Ikr. They both played so well and I honestly thought demon had it but he still did amazing
I’m so upset he lost he was close…. If only he won the fourth set… Rublev was about to lose his mind 😂😭
Alex is a great player. What a great match, he is going to have a ver good 2024. I wish him luck. From Mexico
I love Andrey’s massive forehand but I also love Alex’s spirit of chasing balls💪💪💪💪

Girls 2hbh. Baseline play. Hey is this girls tennis ?
No crazy grunts, awesome volley, great crowd. This is the kind of tennis I’d watch.
this is ironic because rublev usually has crazy grunts when he fires his forehands

Definitely. Did his shot count?
Finally, Andrey Rublev won in 5 sets. Despite of audience support was at maximum level to Alex De Minaur, for the local hero.
But he still had the same results. He really doesn't have a plan b
thank you for using their full names; I don't know these guys at all
crazy bounce off the net tape set this up - may we all be so lucky to see a bounce like that in our play
Sure but then you’ve got to think fast. Not as easy as it looks that’s for sure.

Is it valid even if it didn't go over the net?
ADM is a hard nut 2 crack there4 well done Rublev 💡
He fought like never and lost like ever !!
Luckily, tennis doesn't have the same rules as volleyball, otherwise the point wouldn't have been valid.
What a great point
Amazing shot my Alex 🎉
What an amazing player. Maybe the new French Open and Wimbledon champion 2024.
Or most likely definitely not
Due to this clip went found the full match, will watch tomorrow 😊

Wait so going around the net is a legal move? I'm new to tennis
最後のショットは勿論だけど、途中緩く曲がるスピン掛けてセンターに打つ凌ぎのショットが上手いんだよね。あれで相手が攻撃したくても責めきれなくなってるから。
The speed was insane😮
I feel like de minaur’s forehand take back takes too much time sometimes and has to rush it
Alex❤
Andrey Rublev vs Alex De Minaur. Insane match…
Why the other guy throwing up his arms? Surely every player today knows that shot was legit?
Never seen it done in person. I wonder if it's because the net posts have always been wide enough for doubles.
BRAVOOOOOOO
