Hm.. you're right about under the radar. I've seen it many times ofc, but quickly decided against them. One reason might be the price, which is not value here at all. About 21 USD/18 EUR, so that's quite the difference just a hop, skip and a jump away. I've noticed that sometimes the prices are somewhat similar (though Sweden _is_ generally cheaper), and sometimes they're really not at all. It's a little strange.
According to my vendor, this cigar in particular benefits more from aging than even other Cohibas (they usually know what they're talking about) so they're not a quick fix either. Probably like 3-4 years minimum of waiting on those puppies.
They're sold out anyway, so I think the radar is very much up on these in Norway :) Nordic oil barons you know, must have their Cohibas ;)
Good initiative! Excellent, informative topic. I like the sound of the profile as well, both from you and my vendor. If I was shopping in Sweden, I would definitely go for a box at that price point, put it away and try to forget about it for as long as possible. Here though... probably not. I've been known to cave though. Damn. I'm a little sad now haha. Cheers!
EDIT: Oh BTW while I remember, I _did_ buy a fancy 3 pack of Opus X Angel Share PerfecXion. So that's exciting :) I expect full reimbursement from you if I don't like 'em hehe.
You’re definitely right about the prices! The UK is a good example of this where they’re a lot more expensive than here, but for some reason Vegueros is extremely expensive over there. So much so that they’re equally priced with other Cuban brands even though it’s meant to be a budget-ish brand. Glad to hear you picked up some Angel’s share! Let me know how they perform when you get around to smoking them!!
@@StogieLads Vegueros equally priced? Really? That surprises me greatly. They definitely taste like a budget brand, so I don't know why anyone would buy them as anything else.
@@QualeQualeson Yeah it’s quite strange! I do know, though, that the UK prices tobacco based on weight so that apparently greatly contributes to the pricing!
@@StogieLads Yeah I've heard that mentioned on Sautter's show. Possibly the import rules are such that the government doesn't differentiate quality wise, so the vendor can't mark a product down below a minimum threshold set for tobacco without losing money. So that should make selling budget brands pretty tricky in the UK I'd think. What an exclusive and unnuanced system. You either have _this_ minimum kind of money for cigars, or you don't have any cigars at all ^^ Class society has always been strong in Britain.

Does the flavor change using a torch vs yellow flame 🔥 i see so many people using a torch and up so close. Doesn’t it change the taste?
The type of flame makes zero difference, the only thing that matters is the gas. These torch lighters use butane gas which is an odourless gas, meaning there's no smell or taste to it. As a result it doesn't add any flavour. Lighter fluid is something to avoid as it often times adds bad flavour.
