First Class video..the Farm at Risby immaculately kept..including the machinery..like the Trailer video a few laughs.. Your a man of many talents thoroughly enjoyed all the Drone footage certainly puts another dimension to the videos..one of the best well done everyone..looking forward to the next..
Thanks 😊. Learning the drone skills slowly! Haven’t had a close encounters with the ground, but nearly bumped into a tree at Elsham country park! 😂. Certainly was a big chain saw! It was very heavy to use. I picked it up and the bar end took some holding level 😂
Another super video, all well explained as usual, I think you're now one of the top u tube video makers, and beautiful countryside as well, must be great to work in that environment , and such a calm personality you have, onwards and upwards
Another great video this week. It's good to see more drone footage in this episode too. Have you mastered piloting it yet or have there been any unexpected close encounters with the ground ? A friend of mine went through a few sets of propeller blades when he first started flying his drone. But he soon got the hang of it and is an expert at flying his drone now as I've seen his filming of machinery working in the fields and it's something else to watch. That chain saw has some length of a bar on it too but that was needed for the big tree that was getting cut up in your video. It must have been growing for many years and become a large part of the landscape to have gotten to that size. Nothing is going to waste there either if even the branches are heading for chipping and biomass. That will keep the country park boiler in fuel for many months ahead and well into 2025 once they've dried out a bit and been through the chipper. I will bet Michael at GCS Machinery is wishing all his customers put back their hired equipment in as good condition as you did with the trailer. I've seen him talking about the condition and state some of his machinery is in when he gets it back from being hired out. An unfortunate hazard of being in the equipment hire business. People just don't care the same about things that are hired and don't treat them with the same respect as they're not their own machines. If and when it gets damaged or broken and has to be repaired It's not going to be their problem to replace parts or pay for repairs to be made or done.
Are you going to replace the header for next year Simon? Seeing as you're going to wider tramlines. Or wait until the combine is replaced and its that with the aim of ctf?
No the header will stay and be replaced with the combine in another few years. We operate a semi ctf system in that all the tramlines are in the same place Year in, Year out. Courtesy of RTK gps, 2 cm accuracy.
Another great video! The drone footage is superb 👌. That chainsaw is a beast I bet it takes ages to sharpen!. James peck mentioned the fendt needed a regen could you explain what that means? Cheers Simon 😊
Thank you 😊. The regen is to do with the exhaust system and it’s emission’s control. The big “dustbin” on the bottom of the exhaust is what needs regening, it captures large soot particles from escaping into the atmosphere from the engine. All regening involves is burning off of the soot from getting the “dustbin” very hot with exhaust gases, created by burning extra fuel in it. This process usually takes place automatically, but can be forced by the dealer on his laptop. Hope this answers your question.
Another great varied content video. What is the name of the music with the drone footage please? I like the music with the drone and it's volume is consistent with your voice unlike some who have it very loud.
@@JDautopowersorry to pick you up I love your videos and your setup, kit buildings etc,we work with a contract farmer in the Scottish Borders but not to your calibre

Great video , the drone footage was excellent 👍

Been busy week for you multitasking with the drone brilliant to see Michael on video again
It has been a busy week. It was good to catch up with Michael and have a chat. 😊

Thank you. Still on a learning curve with the drone.
Another great episode down at the farm, drone footage is great 👍

Can't beat a Vaadestad, still got my old one !
Yes they are a good drill, takes some beating!
You’ve got a disc stopped 👍
Yes I did see that when I was editing 🤦🏻♂️
good video
Thank you😊
😂😂 I reckon it was a fix, trailer still on hire until it’s off😂 , good video, enjoyed the drone footage
Thanks 😊
Brilliant 👍🙂
Thank you 😊
The Met could do with you on that tree shear Simon 😊
Must be a pain with the plates. Here in Norway the trailer has its own registration.
Not to bad because, so long as the trailer has a reg plate on from a tractor that belongs to the farm it’s ok.
I hope you remembered to take the number plate off the trailer Simon.
Eeeeeer No 😂. Will pick it up soon 😜

@JDautopower thanks very much for the info! Modern tractors are amazing, bit different then the old grey fergies 😅😅
You've got a disc jammed on your new drill mate
Thanks I noticed it too on playing it back.

I like the music with the drone and it's volume is consistent with your voice unlike some who have it very loud.
Thanks. I don’t know the name of the music, it came with the video editing program which calls it Modern lol.
@@JDautopower ok, no problem. Just had to drive past your main yard due to an accident blocking the Dragonby to Winterton A1077

was that a beetle bank you removed with the digger between fiekds
No it wasn’t, years ago there was a wooden fence separating the two fields, I kept finding odd bits of posts that hadn’t rotted.
Hi I’m looking for a tree sheer and tilt rotator the same as yours. Could you tell me where to go please, thank you.
We got ours from NCD Equipment, Importers of TMK Tree shears.
speak to either Kieth Evans 07498 464067 or Nick 07535 211338 they will help you.
Is FSI the same as SFI?
Apologies got my words mixed up should have said FSI, late at night when editing 😂
I think you meant SF I Sustainable farming insentive
I did lol, slip of the tongue 😂
