@@giuffre714 I've never seen a so big diorama, so detailed. Great job! I like, when someone use a lot of dust and ash, like you. The bullet holes, the nail on buildings, and either the buildings are great. Its so realistic, but I think you should make a new video, with better resolution, and with some pistures.
Thanks! I shot the video for Craig, using my iPhone 5 believe it or not. Then loaded it into my Mac, and attached the songs. Appreciate the stead hand compliment, I had to really hold my breath while capturing alot of it. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks again, JMac
Waouh c'est génial, les détails sont fabuleux, les heures de travail pour réaliser un tel chef-d'œuvre,je ne m'en lasse pas tellement ils y a de détails, bravo 👏👏👏👏👏 je redevient un petit garçon 🤩
AnizorBB, With the exception of the modified Conte church (clock) and the modified Build-o-rama buildings (about 1/8 of the total diorama and both of which I am planning to replace with much improved original pieces), the entire "town" is scratch made! I designed every building down to the windows, bricks, street lights, etc. Craig
A lot of you have asked about the music playing in the background, it is: 1st - Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92: II. Allegretto by London Symphony Orchestra & Josef Krips 2nd - Adagio un poco mosso by Stefan Vladar Thank you to everyone who has watched and enjoyed the video/diorama !!!
Overall size A+ Creativeness A+, Figure painting A+, Building painting D , Weathering D , Interior decoration C- , Armor Painting C , Armor details D. Whole project seams a bit rushed to me, Love the fact you had the balls to even try something of this scale. not trying to be negative just giving an honest opinion.
Thank you for the three high grades. This video was done three years ago and I have since weathered the buildings a bit and added much more street rubble and 12-15 dead soldiers littering the streets and some windows. The armor paint and details are done by the manufacturer, King & Country out of Hong Kong; not my doing! The church has been replaced, modeled after St. Michaels in Vienna complete with four computer-generated steeple clocks....spectacular! The interior too has been upgraded with new pieces of 1/2 scale furniture which is the closest match for the 1/30 scale soldiers and tanks. Next project: get a friend of mine in the surgical device business to bring over an endoscope (for looking into stomachs and organs) and do an inside "tour" of the buildings, raising and lowering from internal views to arial shots in single, continuous motions. New, beatiful, passionate music already selected. Hopefully sometime in the next 3-4 months. Thanks for your comments!
Great build, only 1 gripe, buildings need weathering, explosion dust, shcrapnell damage, blackened Brock work and interior walls. Looks awesome though due to the large scale
@moggy1000 well, I happen agree with ya! Seeing as how there's a war on in Syria, would you like to experience such realism as you seek? Maybe this a pg13 project.
Bloody hell mate thats great! I'm starting a world war 1 diorama! Only downside is its a bit historically inaccurate but by far, the most detailed and biggest World war 2 diorama Ive seen!! Well done and thanks for the video buddy! How much did this cost and how long did it take to make? Also, what scale?
well done my friend its the best of the best the greatest ww2 diorama great job :)How long have you been working on this and what did you use?? 1/72 or bigger??
Absolutely amazing well done mate. I don't see the fuss about it bring historically wrong because tbh I never pay attention to that in my builds, I just look for a nice finish
Where can I get beautiful buildings like this??? I’ve been searching everywhere to add to my diorama but have no luck. Please let me know would love to add
Très beau travail monsieur c est un plaisir pour les yeux je suis abonné !!!! et je serai fier de vous avoir comme abonné aussi very good work mister this is a pleasure for the eyes I am subscribed !!!! and I would be proud to have you as subscriber thank you
trés beau travail, un seul petit reproche les figurines avec les patteafix aux pieds, sinon c'est magnifique et tout est bien pensé et réfléchi, bien calculé, MERCI
Great diorama, but it needs to be grunger. I would make sure the toilet and bathroom tubs and sinks look dirty. Those type of detail and weathering on the bricks and grey roof (streaks, marks, bird dropping would make this look like a photo. Don't be afraid to drop some trash and building rubble in the streets.
very nice job,,, just 1 suggestion that the soliders feets must not be have a stage , although its help is stand firm but will be a bit unreal for the whole feeling .
Craig, AMAZING WORK. I have a decent amount (Okay... a mother load) of armor models (Tanks, Trucks, Amphibious vehicles...) , figures, and accessories of which 98% is from WWII. The models are by,Italeri, Tamiya ,Dragon, Academy, Revell and others. A lot of the figures made by VLS. Other brands include Verlinder, Model Cellar Productions and Kirin. We are starting to catalog and take video/pic. These items are complete,in their boxes and not assembled. Let me know if you are interested.I would love to sell them all in one clip, but will also part out. Thanks
Sadly, lots of things out of scale in this diorama. The buildings and their furnishings are out of scale (too big) for the scale figures. Also, the Panzer crews (commander and gunner) would be buttoned up in close quarters battle such as this. Lastly, I believe these figures are 1/35th scale. Otherwise, a great job on the painting of each unit and splendid job on arranging the scene.
So cool. I'm 60 yrs old and I would play with this all day.
Albert Gallagher Check out mine.
