- Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of Cooper's Amputee Lifestyle. I am here to show you that I am able to combat PTSD and Depression from when I lost my leg due to Trauma by going out and chasing my dreams, hobbies, and adventures. I want to inspire you to do the same. On this adventure we are going Spearfishing In The Puget Sound. We are hoping to catch our dinner and show you a little bit of the cooking process as well. Like any other dive your original dive plans could get interrupted causing you to shift dive objectives. This being said sometimes you find items of value and decide to recover those items. Great score on the anchor. I have never eaten Greenling. Hope I can catch one someday soon. The hardest part of smoking fish is keeping them lit. LOL

Awesome video Corey. I've always wanted to try spear fishing. It's illegal here but if I ever make it out your way I would love to go out with you.
Thank you Jason. If it's legal to use a fishing pole it should be the same for spearguns.
Spearing with scuba is banned in most countries that Im aware of, its not exactly giving the fish any chance. Sure you can be more selective than fishing with a rod, but its still pretty weak.
You will die if you free dive for fish in Puget sound wa. We have some of the most dangerous waters. Poor visibility, currents, and cold Temps. Warm water divers with 100ft vis always try to compare our fishing rules to theirs when the conditions are totally opposite.

@@calebmallory4595 warm water free divers that think they can free dive in the Puget Sound on the deep spearfishing spots. There's several reasons why people who spear in Puget Sound are in Scuba.
