Supplements I Take As a Professional Athlete (Supplement Talk: Part 2)

- Many of you have asked so here is every supplement I take as a professional athlete! Many of these helped me on my road to Olympic Gold and I believe they can be very useful for athletes in all kinds of sports and events.
A few takeaways: always research what you're putting in your body, stick to lab-tested supplements, take only what you need, and take it easy on the pre-workout. There are a lot of things out there that you can take. Many of which have negligible effects, but clever marketing tricks make you buy them anyway. What I take is very simple, and each supplement is tested and proven to work.
I believe supplements are a fantastic thing to take advantage of if used responsibly, and it's my goal with videos like these that we can open up the conversation about supplement usage to remove the negative stigma surrounding it.

Can we see you throw some disc???? I would love to see that
Maybe someday, gotta stay focused on shot for the time being
@@RyanCrouser23 absolutely sir love your content
@@RyanCrouser23 if you wanted to you could probably be an elite discus thrower at the same time as shot.
what a world we live in ...greatest shot putter in history sharing training vids, answering questions and even replying to fans in the comments ....i remember the bad old days trying to catch snippets of info or a dodgy magazine article or a grainy VHS trying to analyse timmermans technique 😂
You should do a video on your diet, I’m super interested.
Awesome video! Great to see more people shedding light on creatine! Good luck on your throws, you got this Ryan!
Great content Ryan! Thank you!
Loving the channel brother such great content! :)
Great content as always.
Great video, keep it up!
Awesome! If you can't trust Ryan who can you trust. Love the channel. What's the most important part of the throws?
Could you do breakdown on your meet day preparation? Like what you eat, train, how you prepare mentally
Great break down bro!
Hey Ryan, two quick questions(love ur vids btw):
1: How to you separate the different supplements? In the sense of like, creatine one day, protein the next
2: A little bit off topic, but any advice on using chalk for shot and disc? Keep up the great work!
Great question, some supplements are timing affected, others no so much. So things like multivitamin and creatine I just take in the morning so I don’t forget it and whey protein I will take right after a workout so your body can start to rebuild faster.
As far as chalk I would say definitely use it, if you’re sweating or wet from rain try to be as dry as possible before you put it on. Wet chalk is even more slippery than just a wet implement.
Great content, thank you!
Hey Ryan, I was wondering what the diameter of your shot put is. Love your channel and that 24m mark is going down soon!
Hi! great content! Do you ever use minerals/salts/hydration supplements?
Can you tell me what is the name of music in the start of video. Great videos Ryan!!
Would love to see a video on your diet.
Hey ryan, just saw your interview at USATF. Could you go into more detail about the take aways from jiu jitsu and muay tai into the circle? I jused to compete in jiu jitsu, turining your right foot like a hip toss?
Hello fan here, could you make a video sometime on dieting for throws?
When we have to start using supplements before 60days of competition or all days throughout the year ....
Supplemented his resume with a World Championship GOLD medal. The best kind of supplement.
Hey Ryan, not sure if you already addressed it, but what carbohydrate supplement do you take?
Taking control of what you put in your body means you're responsible for drug test results.
If you tested positive, there would be no excuse for taking banned substances, be it intentional or not. We should keep it in mind.
Hey Ryan! I am trying to find those supplements on the Kaged website but I can’t seem to find the kaged eaa. Would you be able to send a link?
How many mg caffeine do you have per serve with pre? Range? Numbers are important in weight room, are you always lifting heavy? And does that impact pre consumption? Thanks
Hey Ryan. I would recommend watching a podcast with Andrew Huberman, about melatonin. It’s not that good to take because it suppresses your testosterone.
Ryan what supplements would you recommend for high school athletes/throwers? And what did you take in high school?
I’m guessing creatine, protein, multivitamin, and probiotic.
You won’t need the extra amino acids or pre workout.
Do you use a 16 pounder when bowling
Plzz show ur schedule. 🙏
Ryan can a 18 year old take the supplement which you have listed
Athletics is really about puttting stress on your body and then allow it to recover.
I am just 20 years old can. I use this supllement
Kaged supplements are good but some products are not the best. Kaged Multivitamin dont recommend because even for regular person they are too weak. You need more D vitamin(only 20mcg- man needs +125mcg), C(only 90mg), B etc. Just take multivitamins separately (D, B vitamins, Magnesium + Omega 3)
Amino Synergy you dont need if you use protein(s), you get from protein 20 different aminos but if you train a lot and dont use protein(s) then must have eaa aminos.
All the best in WC
Fan from Europe :)
👍
Have you looked into herbal supplements like ashwaganda/tongkat ali?
Make a video on how to maje make cure stronger and loose fat
First Comment 😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤👑👑👑
Should a lad that's compete that's 13 year old take creatin???
💣
Second😁😁
Do we also need testosterone booster or tribulus as a supplement
Yes why not brother 😂
I don't think so that you should take carbohydrates as supplement because you can full fill its need from diet
This true that you get carbohydrates from your diet, the reason I recommend a carb is because quality carbohydrates are a key for training at your best and it can be tough to train feeling like you have a full stomach
@@RyanCrouser23 exactly its so much easier to use blended oats or similar in a protein shake for a decent meal when you dont want to train on a full stomach ...plus for me after training it takes hours to feel like eating real food
Are you also able to break the Glide Shotput record of 23.06 meter?
I don’t think so, maybe i could get 22m with training, but I don’t think 23.06m would be possible for me with the glide
King crouser
I get my creatine strictly from bang energy
