jing well points, about the disorders of the spirit : My master told me a story about some patient that had really wierd behaviour and was rapidly declining without being able to help her. He then used some old protocol from a book using (if i remember correctly) all jing well points. He claim she started to speak a weird ass language and even levitated from the table. He quickly left and never treated her again, because he was scared. Now my master passed away but i just wanted to share this, as crazy as it sounds.
HAHAHAH you are such a great teacher! thanks for adding in the humor, too. you rock! seriously, thank you for making all of your videos, i admire your work!
Hi Sarita. Glad you’re liking the videos. There’s a lot more acupuncture stuff on the website here tcmstudy.net/acuintro.php and here tcmstudy.net/acupuncture.php I’m doing some herb stuff right now, but I’ll probably get back to acupuncture next year
Great video so far, thank you so much! I am attending an online school but video classes are minimal and we are left with the printed material, which is not as good (basically a compendium of other sources translated into Spanish). What I want to comment on is at 49:58, that is the possible correspondance of water with diseases such as rebellious qi and diarrhea. I believe that the connection is to be found in the lack of clean water. If you drink infected water, you are indeed likely to either vomit or get diarrhea.
Much thanks for this lecture. About to take my Acupuncture Board Exam in a few weeks. And, this lecture clarified some of the topics I was needing to review over.👍😊
Brilliant video. You manage to make TCM theory actually make sense! I feel less overwhelmed with TCM study because of your excellent videos and by your relaxed teaching style. Thank you 😊
Omg when you said 'if someone collapses and is unconscious don't needle the jing well points, call 911' had me giggling. Don't needle without consent! But can you imagine, you're waiting for the ambulance and suddenly there is Nicholas with his needles being like: 'I got this fam don't worry'
There is a concept too if I understand right, where diseased chi moves from superficial channels to deeper ones. IDK if you move the chi you move it to exits and more superficial channels like Tai Yin.
Hi Nicholas I am curious about acupuncture. My first treatment was by student at the clinic. I believe it is good for her to practice. After first treatment I felt different sensations in different parts of my body. May I ask it is normal experience after the acupuncture treatment?. What are the complications May happen when mistakes are made?
What's the point of origin? The tandem below belly button? Then how do the energy flow and transfer to other channels. Orientation of the flow would help understanding.
Great video. I would love for you to continue your meridian videos. They are so helpful. I would also love for you to go over the 8 extras too. Thank you for your
So this client has her nails detaching from the finger tips. Like the white ends of the nails are getting deeper. As it’s only noticeable in her ring fingers, does it make sense to assume it’s the san jiao? What points could you think of?
Hi Nicholas! We’re in our 4th year of school, in NC, exclusively treating patients in the clinic now with no studying (except for boards). I still love going back to your videos and really filing in some blanks in my understanding of TCM. Would you say Xi Cleft points are go-to for blood in the urine? Bleeding disorders of the yin channels seems not to include bladder zong fu but def kidney zong fu. Thoughts?
Hmm, I wouldn't necessarily go there. Xi-Cleft points regulate blood, but that doesn't mean they're good for all types of bleeding. Xi-Cleft points in the lower body tend to be good for menstruation issues, and xi-cleft points in the upper body are usually for things like epistaxis, hemoptysis, and hematemesis. For blood in the urine, look up Lin syndrome (sometimes translated as urinary strangury). You would want Xue Lin. Points you'll see pop up are things like UB-28 (Back-Shu), REN-3 (Front-Mu), maybe SP-10, SP-9.
Thank you very much for your videos Nicholas they are really helpful very clear and informative i was really looking forward for this one. All the best.

Depends on the patient and their symptoms. Someone who is afraid of needles will benefit from acupressure, but someone who has asthma will not be good around moxa.
It does. It is one of the extraordinary organs. For example, chapter 33 of the Ling Shu says, "The Brain is tlze Sea of Marrow, extending from the top of tlze head to tlze point Fengfu (Du-16)." Some channels, such as the Du, are said to enter the brain.

Just an opinion from a hobbyist, but your teaching videos are excellent at expanding TCM concepts.

I'm a bit confused about the organ meridians and the 6 levels, is that the same channels or levels as primary channels.
Great video;
gracias !!!
Thank you sir
Danke!
Awsome
Do we have part2?
Hi Nicholas I have a question, please answer me🙏🙏
Which of these treatment methods are stronger? Acupuncture, acupressure or moxibustion??
Depends on the patient and their symptoms. Someone who is afraid of needles will benefit from acupressure, but someone who has asthma will not be good around moxa.
@@Random-xw1fg Thank you💚
@Sarah I am still a beginner but I know this much. I am sure Nicholas will provide a sufficient answer.
How can I find the kidney and gall bladder point review videos? Somehow they seems to be missing.
So jing is for all excess (heat, wind, dampness, etc?) and spring are for heat specifically?
Nicholas, why does the brain does not show in TCM?
It does. It is one of the extraordinary organs.
For example, chapter 33 of the Ling Shu says, "The Brain is tlze Sea of Marrow, extending from the top of tlze head to tlze point Fengfu (Du-16)."
