Needling technique is very important - but how are your Acupuncture point selection skills? tinyurl.com/2wur3pjf
I would love some more freehand videos!! These are very helpful and not a ton of acupuncture vids are out there right now. Appreciated this. Currently in my senior year of acu school and wondering why we don’t learn more about free needling
Good info. Needling technique is mandatory for acupuncturist. Need to take greater care anatomically particularly for non biological students.

I'm always worried about needle depths on the abdomen, and points on the Dumai, trying to not slip the needle into the spinal cord. Could you please do a video on this if others are also interested? Thank you so much for your videos, I'll share these with my classmates.
Matty Muso Thanks for watching, Mate! Depths can be tricky as every body is a little different. Most of my students feel similarly and often don’t go deep enough on both abdomen and Du channel points. Please note, it is very difficult to get a thin acupuncture needle deep enough to reach the spinal cord - particularly when needling on the midline. There is simply too many strong ligaments and structure to easily reach the spinal cord. Watch a video of someone getting an epidural and that may make you feel better! As for the abdomen, things get a little more nuanced. Perhaps a video is not a bad idea on that one! Stay tuned, more videos to come. Things have been very busy for me and I haven’t had the time to do as many as I would like. Thanks again for sharing, Matty! Have a great day. Drew
Great!
The whole of affective video....pls make more videos on points of acupuncture for different ailments
Respected sir ,pls suggest a good book with points on acupuncture
Hi, Rifa! My absolute favourite book on acupuncture points is A Manual of Acupuncture by Peter Deadman et al. Lots of helpful information and great illustrations. I hope this helps!
Has anyone seen practitioners that has needles in the lower leg and foot and has the patient walk with the needle still in?
😳
