Tyler: *buys a drink carbonator*
Also Tyler: "I'm just not going to use the carbonation."
Also "I'm not really a fan of carbonation."
that's our tyler!
the only thing that the machine is doing is squirting some of the water & syrup into the glass. you could do that yourself
imagine how much koolaid he could have bought for $180
It'd be like buying an ice cream maker then just deciding to eat the liquid base before freezing it instead. Without carbonation this thing is just a $200 Mio bottle squeezer.
Edit: Well, that's what I get for commenting before watching the whole thing. He literally did this with Flavor Ice popsicles, drinking them without freezing them. Because of course he did.
I'm pretty sure that the "Splash" flavors are intended for the heavily carbonated water, basically resulting in a La Croix experience. You definitely need the bubbles when the flavor is so subtle
Came to say this. It's probably called Splash for a reason.
I almost wonder if he does these things on purpose for video engagement lol
@@CptJakeSpearow sometimes. But he talks without thinking alot too!
Define "essence!"
Probably appealing to older generations that do mixed alcohol drinks
Just watched a man make drinks with a ninja for 22 minutes...and I enjoyed it...what a day to be alive
To my mind, the biggest issue this has compared to a Sodastream, is that you're locked in to using their products.
I agree with you on that and if the company decides to stop making those pods then you stuck with a paper weight in your kitchen
Even a soda stream the co2 canisters are overpriced. My cousin ended up just getting their own co2 spout thing that they could run a larger refillable tank on.
Their CO2 canisters are the same size and threading as the SoadStream. So you won't have a huge issue with that.
The flavors likely will, but since they aren't pulling a Keurig here and using some QR code mechanism, you can just fill them with MIO or other drink mixes to reuse.
Can it run without the flavor pods?
That's exactly what i thought in the first few seconds
Tyler using this machine like a 180 dollar water flavoring pouch.
Bro fr. If you don't like carbonation you can just buy single serving crystal light or like mio or something
you could do the same thing with soda water lol@@whatbroicanhave50character35
@@whatbroicanhave50character35he scared of bubbles😂
This was the same guy that tried to carbonate milk soooo
The idea of trying flavors designed for a soda maker without the carbonization is wild to me. Like the flavor designers have created these flavors with the carbonic acid from the carbonization factored in, so they're going to taste significantly different and likely worse. Have you ever had flat coke? That's basically what you're doing to these flavors.
I used to know someone who drank flat soda, he'd shake it and open it repeatedly until there was no more carbonation, then he'd leave it open to finish it off
what....@@momolovesyou9969
New flavor: Onion and Toe Clippings.
@@momolovesyou9969WHAT THE FUCK?
Lol exactly! I was basically screaming at the screen
Tyler there's a pickle pod your missing out on lol :)
Gotta laugh at how Tyler says its nasty, but yet goes and tries it again, pure dedication. Brilliant video again. Thanks for the awesome content.
To be fair, you're supposed to try something twice when trying new things (even if it tastes bad). It's kind of a food edict thing.
First state might've been off a bit, so you give it another go to confirm
well thats how you acquire a taste. Theres a bunch of soda like that, like moxie.
The splash favors are for adding a “splash” of flavor to another flavor. Like cherry with lemonade, or strawberry with watermelon
The seriousness that Tyler said "I'm doing both of them, DOUBLE PUMPED" mad me laugh pretty good
The splash flavors are probably made to be carbonated to make a no calorie drink but also, I bet they might be good if you mix with other flavors.
Tyler, you have to use the carbonation on the splash ones. Its supposed to be like the sparkling water
And sparkling water is ass soo I think he's on to something.
@@skunky1-1right just like this craziness over those ass alcoholic sparkling water like white claws.
Your favorite one was the most carbonated. You need that carbonation to help enhance the flavor.
There's a word for a super weak flavor.... I believe it's "essence". I could be wrong 🤣🤣
One of the biggest issues I have with such tools like that is: Reinventing the wheel.
Remember soda streams "Syrup bottles?" They've got tiny, small, and large bottles that you could pick yourself how much taste you want. You could also just pour it into a glass and drink flat.
This one has specially shaped containers for their proprietary system. You can't just drink it as is, you must use the machine that costs nearly 200 bucks.
PLUS the CO2 cannister is also branded. So I'm assuming that one also has a proprietary nozzle connector, so you have to use the Ninja™ bottle.
Why not just create syrup bottles with the tastes you want and write on the label "Best if consumed carbonated ;)!"
But then they can't charge you nearly 200 bucks for a machine, more $ for the proprietary syrup pods and more $ for the proprietary gas cannister. So just making yummy tastes isn't lucrative.
Never used anything Ninja before my sister bought me a Ninja Foodi for my Birthday. I love that thing. It works as a grill, air fryer, oven, all on my countertop.
If you like ice cream you need the ninja creami. It’s spectacular
Ninja makes great products, they are just expensive as heck, but what they make you can trust is good.
@@Halfstep2024the Creami is amazing, great for my wife. We make lactose free ice cream all the time now
You should try all of them mixed together with the highest carbonation setting. LoL 😂
That's too much work. I'll just keep buying soda. LOL
What I love about this channel is that you have the most basic man using the most basic terms and language to describe things that you can understand it and get a feel of the product
Basically a big, expensive toy you will get tired of.
On the Amazon site it shows the water reservoir with ice in it. So maybe you can just dump water and ice into the reservoir when you're ready to make drinks.
Yea, if you want an ice cold drink you need to use ice water. Otherwise you would need a lot of ice to get a cold drink which would just dilute the flavor.
Is that really less work than just keeping it the fridge though?
I love this video. The ole "You can spend your money on this crap if you want" energy is high.
I watched a bunch of clearly "bought" videos about the Thirsti that were lightweight nonsense, marvelling at how great it was. This is literally the first video I've watched that is a clear "no", even if it isn't saying that. Anyone who watches this and buys it afterwards, has it coming.
the way we could just hear the ping pong balls in the background when he threw the box😆😆
is your pp from ben and holly? 😀
My guess is the splash ones need to be carbonated that might explain why they taste so bad maybe you should give them a second test but carbonated.
Or adding a "splash" of tart lemon to the sweet lemonade... Or both
Would have liked to see the comparison between carinated and non-carbonated for each flavor. Why buy a carbonator if you don't try it??
This is an elaborate way to get squash... I can get a litre of concentrate for 50p and tap water is basically free 😅
20:41 Tyler was definitely right with this because it doesn’t even mix them at the same time. It is one at a time. So you could just make one and add the second one kind of how I do with my coffee pods. I like to mix my hazelnut Dunkin’ with French roast.
If you aren't going to use the C02 you might as well buy bottles of Crystal Light drops.
So it's basically a Mio fountain
My mind says slap vodka in the container and make a cool party set piece that mixes easy drinks
That's what the Bartesian is for . Its a liqour version with all different pods
Tyler bringing joy to my Saturday nights keep up the great work
Dude. You need to test the flavors carbonated and not carbonated. I think the flavors change. I love your videos.
I love this channel, just a good time.
“Something that kinda almost resembled a little bit something like a lemon” cracked me up😂
FYI - you can get your co2 canisters refilled locally for way cheaper at sporting goods stores/etc. I’d recommend buying two canisters and just refilling them one at a time as they run out.
Smart.
This. I don't understand why anyone would buy a NEW canister that's so insanely wasteful in more ways than one. Then again those flavor concentrates are ridiculously overpriced with what you can buy elsewhere. If I had that machine I'd just manually refill the small packages myself with whatever flavor I wanted. That device just seems bad the more you think about it.
cause most people dont know you can get them refilled@@huldu
This entire video reminds me of a joke my friend told me about La Croix Banana flavored sparkling water. "Try La Croix Banana. We painstakingly can our water near bananas for that authentic flavor"
💯. I don't like sweet drinks, but water does get boring eventually.
I liked your description of the splash flavors. Pesticide. 🤣
4:47 That thing sounded like it was GASPING for air 💀💀💀
16:25 lol that face you made 😂.
I was thinking, try using vodka or rum instead of water lol. I would. Love the vids bro, keep ‘em coming.
Good point about the flavors being mixed already!
Tyler on those splash flavors: Bold and brash? more like, BELONGS IN THE TRASH!
Defeats the purpose of it if you dont carbonate the water they make flavorings you can just add to water and you get to choose the concentration
There needs to be a pickle flavored pod just for Tyler.
My air fryer makes the same beeping noises as this machine
"This tastes like a dog vomited on a pile of dog crap".
*Takes another sip*
i think the solution for the ones that aren't very strongly flavored would be to have 2 of the same flavor and combo them at max concentration, that should improve.
as for the water thing, people keep jugs of water in the fridge, you'd just have to use that water to fill that up. some fridges have that little tap on the front that dispenses water, so you could also use that to fill it up, you wouldn't need to keep the thing itself in the fridge
they are meant to be like those shitty la criox drinks lmao
The ninja creami ice cream maker is just spectacular I love ours.
12:58 lmao i always crack up at his animations
I only drink carbonated water with dilutes because drinking flat liquid makes me feel sick. When you talk about how the carbonation feels in your throat, that's what I want most! 😅
The way he describes things always gets me😂
“Island mango”
*crickets* 😂😂
Loved watching this video thank you for filming and sharing this video you describe the experience with using the Ninja Thirsti
wow that looks like 200 times more expensive than just buying flavored water
I think the extra carbonated drinks increase the level of flavour.
But who buys a carbobated drinks maker when they don't like carbonated drinks?
So basically, it's a machine that puts concentrate and water together.
I have something that does that, my hands, and they didnt cost me $180.
He completely looked over one of the main benefits- less waste. He’s such a jackwagon.
I think the splash is meant for either heavy carbonation so its just basically sparkling water with that bit of flavor and/or its meant as an aftertaste or just hint on top of the other flavors. Like a splash of lemon to go with your energy mix.
that thing carbonating the drinks is the funniest thing I've ever heard🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Man the crickets where going wilde at 2:20
The name Ninja Thirsti sounds like something a toddler ninja would say 😂
I can't believe they did not have his favorite flavor of pickles!
I think it's funny Ninja uses the same beep for everything. I know it's part of branding but it sounded just like their air fryer and threw me off lol
So did the math, it's $0.35 + the co2 per 12oz drink. Since he didn't state how many cups the co2 can make, I'm going to assume about $0.10-$0.15 per cup. So you end up saving something like $0.20 per cup vs an average can of coke last I priced them
Tyler claiming he doesnt like carbonation yet drinks Mt. Dew, the most carbonated soda
never heard anyone say "the most carbonated soda" the saying goes most caffeinated
@@MrSkaterpunk13most sweetened?
@@jorlejoca most sugar
@@MrSkaterpunk13 I was trying to be nice about it 😆.
The no sugar variety is great though.
I’m amused how many different blenders can be made and people will buy all of them.
"Anything unsweetened and has like "fruit essence" has never been really good."
There goes those Air-Up advertising dollars...
Tyler said unsweetened "fruit essence" sounds like it sucks! AIR UP says "step into my office".
I think what you were trying to say is “someone ate a pound of 🍋lemons and farted into my mouth “- lemon tart 😂
Tyler: *Doesn't add carbonation.*
"For some reason, all this soda tastes flat."
Can't wait for the second channel video where you try all the available flavors.
My local paintball shop refills my CO2 , but I also have the original machine, but it's worth checking out and only cost me $7.
Maybe you should try it with alcohol like vodka or something
Bought a whole bag in box of cherry Pepsi syrup on Amazon like restaurants use not cheap but getting to adjust your water to syrup mix is amazing.
I myself use multi vitamins and minerals flavor tablet from the drugstore.
You just drop it in regular or carbonated water and ready.
They have around 10 flavours and 20 tablets cost me 60 cents a set.
Each flavor cartridge is said to provide about 20 12-oz drinks.
This amounts to about 35 cents per drink for the flavors, and another 30-35 cents for the CO2 canister, making each drink around 60-65 cents, not including the initial cost of the unit itself.
You also locked into this system as you can only use their cartridges.
Did you do the ninja Creami yet? That looks interesting to make ice cream...
The Ninja Creami will change your life!
Great review Tyler!
In my country offbrand co2 canisters when replaced in store refill scheme costs around $4 cheapest. Even the "official" Sodastream replacement ones are $10. That Ninja canister looks exactly like standard co2 canister. You'd have to be a fool to use their canisters.
That Ninja CO2 canister is the same size as Soda Stream or the even way cheaper Indigo canisters which I believe are only available in Canada.
Try mixing them. That’s why this is so good. I love the mixing of it.
"Who would mix 4 flavors" 🤦 Tyler have you never had Hawaiian punch or any fruit punch?
😂😂
The peach mango & lemonade sounds delicious 😋
The peel of lemons are used in all kinds of dishes, Tyler. Its called the zest.
God dammit Tyler i f#cking love u first 6 seconds in the vid i break out in laughter.
Might get your local paint ball shop re fill the c02 tank. Lol
Were all here for Tylers facial expressions.
A really expensive Kool-Aid dispenser with a soda option
Maybe the splash flavors are just like the splash name says to give one of the other flavors a "splash" of whatever flavor the splash flavor is. Try it that way and see if it's better
Listening to that thing run really makes me have to pee. Lol 😂
Hey Tyler, carbonation allows both scent and flavor to be more recognized via the bubbles that bring them both towards your nose and the back of your pallet
I feel like the splash ones are intended to be mixed with other pods like adding a “splash” of strawberry to the lemonade to make strawberry lemonade.
Bet you can set that up with paintball co2 stuff
That has the exact same beep as our Ninja indoor air grill.
Try the splash flavor with the fizz
I think Tyler keeps forgetting that the splash flavors are supposed to be an essence of the fruit but not taste like the fruit
A taint of fruit. Sounds nasty.
@@timothyvanderschultzen9640hehe taint
Reading directions helps. Not his style tho
if i had to go back an forth to the fridge with that container i might aswel make a jug of one flavor and keep that stored. especially if its not going to be carbonated.
I feel like all of this can be accomplished with Sirup and a soda stream for a quarter of the price and more importantly for a smidge of the trash waste
My guy woke up this morning and chose violence 😂
Strawberry kiwi with watermelon lime actually sounds amazing
lemon zest water got it 😂 😂
It's wildly amazing you know what a pesticide covered lemon taste like 😂
The only mixed flavors that might work is lemonade and something else, since you can make almost anything into a lemonade if you know what you like, problem is that's trial and error and with the cost of this thing you really don't want to waste a flavor.
