@@circularglobalgist4837 No hon I won't leave you but I just found out that my wife may have breast cancer. She has to go back and have another test done and I am very worried about it. She lost a sister to breast cancer 7 years ago and I saw how horrible it was on her and the family. So now i am scared for her and hope its not serious but I won't know anything for about 2 weeks

They have sold over 800,000,000 million records worldwide, in relatively short career together.
No band has, or will ever reach that plateau. That's not taking in their Solo careers. You so eloquently explained it perfectly. Very good.

'Ill follow the sun' is a very early song composed in 1959 by Paul McCartney when he was just 16 or 17.
Just two of their many many many incredible songs. Even their relatively simple songs are perfectly constructed and brilliant melodically. The Beatles just had amazing songwriters and they could also perform their music flawlessly. They were/are very special musicians.

Good to see you get into pure Beatles off the beaten path of Abby Road and White Album and Sgt Pepper stuff. shows how they evolved as if their music wasn't already stellar in simpler form. I Need You by George Harrison their lead guitar player, was featured in their 2nd movie "Help!" It featured his guitar using a new thing called a volume control pedal operated by your foot. which is how he got that guitar sound.
Great song from early Beatles. Paul had that great voice, and a great bass player as well.
The emergence of Paul McCartney as a lead guitarists seeds were sewn during the recording of I'll Follow The Sun., When it came time to record the 4 bar guitar solo, George Harrison had difficulty finding the right solo to play. An exasperated John Lennon said he could easily play the solo. A miffed George Harrison retorted 'I am supposed to be the lead guitarist in the band, after all'.'. Paul McCartney took notice of this exchange and when it came time to record their next single 'Ticket To Ride', he took over the lead guitarist role for that song. As he would continue to do on several Beatle songs the remainder of the Beatles recording career,. Taxman, Good Morning Good Morning and Another Girl to name just a few.. I thought that sounded like George but I wasn’t sure. I usually know who’s singing but I wasn’t that familiar with this song.
@@davisworth5114 My source was in the room. John plays the intro and outro riff and wanted to play the solo. George insisted it was his job as lead guitarist. In the end, no one was pleased with Georges solo. George included. They simply didn't have time for George to come up with a better one. George's solo on Leave My Kitten Alone was so wretched it kept the song off the Beatles For Sale LP. Imagine LMKA instead of Mr. Moonlight Another song that George's solo was wiped and then replaced by Macca's Hammond organ solo. George also had cracks at Drive My Car and Taxman to know avail. Who ended up playing those solo's you may be asking D O'B?Why it was Paul McCartney. Is that enough evidence for you Sunshine? Cheers, RNB

"I'll follow the sun": John starts to sing the first part of the sentence, and Paul finishes it with "... so tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun." The chorus then is sang by both of them. The harmony singing was very common at the Beatles.
"I need you": A song composed and sung by George Harrison.

I enjoy being welcomed to take your journey discovering The Beatles. If you want to see their great harmonies and place the face. This Boy from the Ed Sullivan show....that's when my journey started. A 4 year old was allowed to stay up late while spending time with his grandparents....the rest is history. ❤❤👊

His earliest was "Don't Bother Me". Listen to the music -- especially the bass line, which changes every verse -- while John and Paul are not singing. Rich and complex".
"I'll follow the Sun" is deceptively simple -- three guitars and drum. But listen to the complex chord changes. Almost everyone else was stuck in three chords.

I Need You is such a beautiful song by George. Imagine being in a group and being up against such a powerhouse writing team such as Lennon/McCartney. George was not as productive a songwriter but in the end he was certainly an equal.

Still, with the towering, epochal achievements of the Beatles, even posting mere facts don't get anywhere near the novelistic Truth of what they sought to do, what they achieved, and how it changed the world for the better. But facts are what the honest broker has, and I will stick with them and promulgate them whenever possible. An Event Horizon such as the Beatles deserve nothing less.
