Maybe try restart your laptop my holding the power button until 2 lights beep at the same time or try and turn the touch pad off and back on

The problem with my asus vivobook laptop touchpad is it sometimes do not response. The touchpad responses most of the time but it will not respond may 1 to 3 times per day for around 5 seconds before it recovers automatically.
