@@kvns1212 so after shutting down twice (once my hp envy shut down by itself) the driver returned. However in MS WORD only my mouse goes crazy. It highlights and delete my typing, have some pop ups , …I’m constantly having to save my work and proofread my college papers double time because things erase.
I thought the same thing, but I tackled the job on my own. What the hell, it's already broken. What can you ruin? It's not hard; you can do it. This was the second HP laptop I had to do. Make sure it is on a clear desk or table. Need a tray or bowl, or sheet of paper for tiny screws. Be careful keeping an eye on which screws go where in different sizes. Lap top folded place bottom up. Gently take the screws out and place them in a place that remembers where they are from. One laptop had screws under that rubber strip, which had to peel off. It doesn't go back on after the job, but it doesn't affect the laptop's working. Screws out, gently pry the lid up with a tiny screwdriver. It works best if you start from behind the hinge; it takes more force than you think. Could you take a photo with your phone to reference how to go back together? It's a flat silver bar that holds on the touchpad on the frame; please remove that. Wire ribbons are clipped on, a little clamp flips up, and the end of the ribbon pulls out. Could you check RUclips on how? Top edge of touchpad just taped on, gently pull up tape off back of touchpad self. Do it in reverse with a new touchpad. Sandpaper the edges of the new or even old touchpad because the binding of those edges in the laptop hole makes the touchpad hang up. It may not need a new pad; sandpaper the old plastic edges on the old one a little at the steal bar half-apart stage. If you buy a touchpad, use something other than Amazon; they always send the wrong part. Some small laptop part sites have new original parts at better prices and send you the right ones.

I can have my pointer on an area and it just will randomly jump.... and sometimes the pointer just disappears and I have to reboot to get it back...the exact same thing happened on my last HP laptop that's happening on this one....

If you've try all the method is not working the try this tips because that's how it work for me😊 1- off your pc/laptop ( or restart) 2-then plug in external mouse 3- Turn on the computer 4- before the pc finally reached the main screen unplug the external mouse. 🎉🎉 This is how it worked for me🎉🎉
I accidentally deleted drivers update, after restarting keyboard and track pad wouldn't work on the welcome page. It works on bios but doesn't work when I start my computer. Tried restoring system defalts, unplug and replug battery yet, keyboard and track pad still won't work and now I'm stuck on the welcome page. Please help 🙏 I use a windows 7 HP pavilion dv5 notebook

my touch pad buttons are working but i cant move it what shloud i do edit: i went into bios to check if its hardware problem there everything was working fine and then i exited and turned on my device my trackpad got fixed by it shelf and now its scrolling and everything

My brother turned off my mousepad and Ive tried several times to turn it back on. my touchpad settings dont even show up. The only thing I see is for a mouse, which is the one ive plugged in to use my computer. When i tried using the control button to go into mouse and adittional properties, it doesnt even have that as an option. Need help!!

Tab does not generally work if cursor is not working.. Many times entire keyboard will not work if cursor is frozen
FYI, of HP or Windows software engineers are watching, this problem seems to be associated with Windows updates
