This DLC had Thug banned Dr Disrespect consent laws exposed and some industry plant getting congratulated for dying 1000 times. What did Miyazaki mean by this?
Honestly, it doesn't matter. You get nothing out of modding his streams and only those who had some parasocial relationship would actually be upset that they got banned or unmodded by synth. I don't blame him - if he wants to ban or unmod people, that's his choice. It's sad if someone bases their entire life around whether synth will think of them highly or not. He's just one guy - who clearly hates himself - so what does it matter? Probably a blessing in disguise since it wakes one up to the fact that they've been wasting their time sitting in synth's streams for hours a day. Way more productive things you could be doing in that time period.
One big problem is that synth simultaneously wants dedicated and frequent mods, while he actively speaks against people idolizing him or spending too much time on his stuff. I don't think he has realized this double standard yet. So the only people he is going to get as mods are ones who are going to be frequent and spend a lot of time on his channel. He doesn't want those that just pop in infrequently and now and then to hang out. He gets upset when those people aren't there when he needs them. This means that most of his mods are probably going to develop some sort of parasocial relationship with him, at least a relationship that's kind of built off of a sunk cost fallacy, because no one is really fine with just getting uprooted from something all of a sudden and have years or months of interaction or relationship suddenly cut off, even if it was casual. Synth has obviously been through events in which he has been betrayed and so he does not want to develop any sort of relationship with anyone, especially if he cannot see their face. I have gone through similar things. The problem is, because of those experiences, he is way too comfortable with banning or cutting off people who have shown interest, loyalty, and dedication, often for incredibly shallow and ultimately meaningless reasons. Someone annoys him or gets to him, and he copes by expressing his form of authority, which makes him feel good in the short term, but it hurts both him, his channel, and his community in the long term. Synth has admitted before in one of his streams that he would probably make a terrible leader. He has some self-awareness of all this, at least to some level, but not enough that he takes the necessary actions to fix or improve his behaviors. As for getting banned, there's more to be upset about. Both synth and his chat are entertaining. It obviously would suck to not be able to interact with it at all. Also, getting banned for something petty translates to a personal insult. In fact, unless you had a parasocial relationship, making an alternate account and posting in his streams under that wouldn't be the same. You have been told to your face that you are not wanted. It takes a very specific type of person to not take that seriously. So why would you go out of your way to find alternate ways to interact? I guess the parasocial angle could go multiple different ways, but it's probably not even the main factor. Those aren't the only people getting affected. Obviously it's his choice, but he makes bad choices. Yes it's not worth getting TOO mad over, because ultimately you shouldn't care what he thinks of you, but at the same time it just sucks. If you were spending too much time on his streams and channel, maybe it's a good thing. But for those with self restraint and who just casually visit... It's just one of the few realer RUclipsrs cutting ties with you for pretty much no reason. And that obviously sucks.
Thug said that if Synth played the Elden Ring DLC, he would just be a grifter because Synth had already expressed reservations of playing through it coming from a place of disinterest and tiring of Soulslikes. Synth then demodded him in response and made fun of Thug's warehouse job in which Thug then launched several paragraphs (of which Synth only read one of them) attacking him for things like his laziness, NEET background and even some of Synth's dysgenic qualities (glasses, hairline, mold etc.).
This was the day that marked the OG Synthcel (NP, Nevirate, Arch Dornan etc.) exodus, especially since Thug was easily one of the best members in chat.

god elden ring is such a boring game, looks generic too.
It honestly was a pain to get through, so much time wasted just riding your horse from A to B.
