The Badab War is an underrated conflict in 40K.
Big agree
GW and Black Library probably could do a series on them once the Heresy books are done?
@@jesta7837 that would be very cool
Definitely. So sad so much of the content was discontinued, I really want to make bhadab armies.
@@heresyhobbyist there's probably a financial reason for that. However if you really want to make such an army, why be limited by what GW make? There's 3d printing and converting. Just an idea.
“The only reward for loyalty is betrayal!”
I can't help but think that of all the Warhammer fandom on the internet, these Oldhammer accounts here on RUclips are by far the best
😄
@@Miniscape-wh40k is the Space Marines Lamenters Army presented in the current White Dwarf 495 your Army?
@@MyManicmonday if it is I know nothing about it 🤣
At 2nd Edition I really liked the idea of red corsairs having models from imperium with a big red X into all imperium iconography of their armour. It was a cleaver way to show that they were renegades and didn't choose to follow the imperium, but weren't tainted by Chaos.
Yes, cool idea. I liked the potential for conversion options there.
The David Bowie of 90's Space Marines...We could be Huron's, if just for one day.
Lol don't. I'll end up rewriting Heroes as "Hurons"
Yeah, Huron is a fascinating character!
I own a Forgeworld version of him. Also tempted to order the Chaos version.
I'm fascinated by the idea of playing the Badab War not in full-scale 40k, but with rules from Space Hulk, Advanced Space Crusade or, say, Boarding Action.
It's hard to collect an entire armies for different chapters, but painting a few 5-man squads and a few characters? That's a much more reasonable goal!
Top idea
You know, I mostly come to this channel for your songs now 😂😂😂
Oh yes 😂
Huron is indeed a welcome return
Huron hums that song to deal with his crippling migraines
Looks like you’re going to give your loyalty by buying Huron Blackheart. Very much looking forward to seeing future painting projects of yours this year.
Nice song at the end
😍
@@Miniscape-wh40kHuron!
The song was incredible! Loved the tapping as well.
Ha thank you
Since it wasn't a tank video I wasn't expecting a song but it was a pleasent surprise! I'm gonna consider getting the Huron figure.
HURON!
Loving your content, keep up the songs to. Defo keeps me entertained 😂
Man I’m also very tempted to pick up Huron Blackheart. Really cool mini.
really enjoying your videos mate. keep up the good work :)
Thank you. I am pleased I have managed to entertain someone.
He‘s definitely in contention for the most ridiculous name in 40k history… I just called him Lol Huron when prompted 😂
Thank you for sharing!
Another belter 👌
I would love to see an older style chaos army! I've been working on one too, but instead with a focus around Abaddon, the armless and contingents of World Eaters and Death Guard from 3rd edition.
My dream army is a classic 3rd edition Iron Warriors army, basilisks, and vindicators in all their glory
Your channel is great. I'm gonna turn on notifications :)
Keep it up! Land raider, raider of land ♫
Thanks mate 🤘
i went in on the Macragge reprint. I've wanted the terrain forever and its quite expensive when it shows up 2nd hand.
so... when can we expect a full release of Huron The Tyrant of Badab on spotify and itunes?
Lol. You know it's all a skit, right?
@@Miniscape-wh40k ;)
I love these songs! Giggles the whole time. 😂❤
The "beat" in that song sounded like you were enjoying Mr Blackheart a little tooooooo much.
Can't wait for more videos
Don't worry more to come
Love
HURRRONNNN!!
"I'm just a simple man trying to make my way in the galaxy"...Best reason to get the figure 👍
ever a good plan =)
thank you!
Huron was awesome in 2nd edition and a great way to field dreads that wouldnt shoot your own models but I would rather pay more for the metal version
I would also prefer the metal version but I think this is the best I am going to get
I've just ordered him
💪
I have only a single resin miniature in my collection, the 40 Years Grombrindal anniversary one. It seems like they worked out the infamous bugs from long ago since the miniature itself has no bubbles or major chips. It did absolutely not want to take paint, even after being primed. Surely if resin miniatures a few years ago were in good shape, GW couldn't screw them up again, right?
Right?
🤞
Definitely want to get him, and a Baal predator, and a ferusio dreadnought, and, and, and well you get the point, as much as money can buy.
we really do need an updated tyberos imo. MAKE HIM CHONKY!!!
I had a long think myself about getting him, but while normally I'm a sucker for made-to-order old stuff I wouldn't be using him as Huron, just a chaos sculpt to use for a conversion - if he were plastic I'd likely have gone for it anyway, but I've got plenty of other minis to work on so I decided I don't need to inflict finecast on myself just to have one more. But I'm keenly looking forward to seeing your Huron when he's done, and the rest of your retro warband of course.
Fine cast makes me wary too but if it's that it no Huron then I choose fine cast to have him.
I hate to give you miniature envy, but I just found my old metal Huron Blackheart model and his familiar in the remaining Chaos I have lfet that my Blood Angels haven't blasted into the massive oblivion of eBay. Cheers! I'm going to have to paint him up.
Great news. I am not jealous at all.
Big guns never tirer
The 2 imperial armour books are great, and offer a interesting look into the running of the imperium
I actually have a metal one somewhere at home. If I could find all the parts I could send it to you 😅
Damn that is generous. And metal > fine cast. mneilpainter@gmail.com if you want to contact me that way
@@Miniscape-wh40k the problem is it might be a while since I won't be back at home til maybe April. But if you're cool with waiting. I just hope I didn't damage anything too much on the original.
@@armin8306 no worries. Thank you again.
So unfortunately I did find the model... But it's fubar. There's no backpack, his heads chopped off and his powerclaw is missing a thumb. Not sure if it's salvageable :/
@@armin8306 Nevermind. Could be a base for a conversion though.
Pretty much gotta have that one don’t ya
Yes, please take my money GW
I might have to pick him up, 2nd favourite behind Fabius
Definitely considering buying this asscast model. I really like Huron (I even recently did a video on him), and the model sucks...but I really want it anyway.
Honestly o don’t even think the model looks bad, yeah it’s incredibly dated but I think it’s dated in the way it fits like it looks like a old withered warrior hanging on through sheer spite and hatred which is what he is.
Huron is cool but I've been searching and can't find anyone whose done 2e abaddon the despoiler yet, could be another fun idea
Ah right. Then I shall do him!
The songs are literally killing me
I apologise for them. People encourage me. What can I say
@@Miniscape-wh40k my kids were singing the Huron song for 40 minutes after the video...
@@Gumlass1 yesssss my work is done 😁 also sorry if that made life difficult in your household
@@Miniscape-wh40k haha. All good. We're all still on holidays
You could go another route and convert something that looks like the other models for the period. I used the chaos marine that you have, with the big power fist upraised, as the basis for my own Huron conversion. Either way, looking forward to the upcoming chaos marines--and more songs!
I'd love a painting videos on Both forms of Huron someday! (Being made to order and all)
It's going to happen...someday
The drum thing sounded like…something else…
Probably because I was slapping my firm thigh
@@Miniscape-wh40k lol, so I wasn’t too far off when I imagined “thighs clapping.”

@@Prophetofthe8thLegion 🤣 just the one thigh though
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion please, if you can make that happen it would be much appreciated
Happy new year Matthew!
I've been loving your recent content it goes without saying, and while I can totally see the appeal of these models, if the cost and the god-awful finecast are too much of a pain to deal with, you clearly have skill for kitbashing and converting and such, so maybe you could source suitable bits in either metal or plastic or 3D printed bits and opt for making your own instead and/or parallel to getting the actual models if you want? Food for thought at least.
Keep up the quality work and once again i gotta salute your LP side project lol, who knows, maybe GW in their infinite wisdom will need an official jingle composer one day, or send your music directly to the god-emperor henry cavill and see what happens!
Definitely intrigued with this chaos project announcement, and small sidebar here, any chance those awesome bretonnians will get their own video sometime? Cheers!
Food for thought indeed. I have many avenues I could explore. And those are empire state troops 😉 so I don't know if your request still stands. I am glad you like my content and the music. I am not musically skilled but I think I can write a bit. However I have been told by a few the songs are not to their taste. You can't please everyone.
@@Miniscape-wh40k oh by all means yes, showcasing miniatures that are nicely painted is never a bad thing to post.
Otherwise, about the criticisms, i say don't take that stuff too seriously, i think you offer a pretty unique take on the whole 40k side of RUclips, so keep at it.
By way of example, if you’re familiar with the channel crafsman steady craftin, that dude is amazing and he's just a puppet and people love him because of how different it is to the usual channels! So I say embrace your uniqueness and do what you want with your channel, you've got an audience and I'm sure it's growing little by little, I personally don't create content yet but I've certainly toyed with the idea here and there and maybe I'm just old-school that way but I really like these sort of channels that are more about the YOU than the TUBE if you will, and that's why I'm here lol, your individual take on this hobby, like the gingerbread land raider, that was pretty great for example, and again, unique, and therefore worth following.
Keep up the quality work, cheers!
I am surprised that you aren't tempted to get the warsmith too.
I have my limits, surprising I know but...
@@Miniscape-wh40k I understand. I would have buy one but I already have one and a warpsmith. If I add on more former tech-marine. I fear the infighting will destroy my army. ;)
When is the Miniscape jazz album coming out?
I think I am best focusing on miniatures and their videos 😅
FINCAST?! Aaaaaaaargh, that embarecment made me quit warhammer in the past!
Huron did very little wrong. All he wanted was some space to destroy pirate filth. Sadly, due to the Imperium being fools, they simply gave chaos another champion.
Now, now, now then now then now, then then now then.
You mention Chaos, which I am going to take as an ajar door to pile on and say...
The Chaos gods I rather like. I mean I don't much care for chaos marines because, well, I just don't see elemental forces of hell having much time for changing the batteries and washing out the hydraulics. That aside, though...
The CGs all seem to be about temptation, right, you've got Kevin Khorne, the temptation to give into violence and murder. Right, we've all been there once or twice. Gesundheit, the urge to use deception, lies and trickery. Right, we've all been there once or twice. You've got Sally Nesh, the urge to get kinky and fruitsome. Right, we've all been there probably today. Then you've got Nurgles, and here my head starts throbbing because, WTF is the temptation of Nurglies? I mean I think Gurgles was originally meant to be something akin to gluttony but that, if it wereever there, faded into nout almost instant. T'other three are all selling ego through vice, but Nurgles isn't. Although NurglieGurglie is without doubt great fun to mod and paint, no question.
This is somewhat irksome to me, partly because it suggests largesse, but mostly because, it seems to me, that there's a glaring hole in the ranks - there's no Chaos God of wealth. Pure avaricious greed. S'easy to see as fitting the mould - temptation made manifest. I would be curious if G2 GW thought that might be a bit on the nose for themselves, but, I wanna be clear, the biggest issue with this is that we are all denied the majesty of the Bling Marines. And yes, I know, but of all the CGs, they'd be the ones able to afford the maintainence contract.
Not to mention all the acolytes of Bling, the cryptobrethren, the battlepimpmobiles, the diamond geezers, the Kristal Lords, all united under the banner of their God - Bulleon.
As a further aside, Huron's a terrible name for a villain - you're just going to end up with a variant of Who's on First'.
Nurgle's temptation is the one we feel when we can't be bothered to shower or brush our teeth 😉
Ah, that's my blind spot, I rarely, if ever, shower my teeth ;-)
But,. I maintain, it's not a brilliant selling point, is it? "Join us, and your soul may be damned, but, on the plus side, we don't care how stinky you get!"
I don't really object to Nurgle existing so much as I think Lord of Bling would have been more interesting and credible. Plus, although I've only seen it done a few times, GW stuff finished with actual goil foil looks stultifyingly amazing. Not tasteful, but, amazing. If I were ever to venture back into the hobby, I'd seriously be doing stuff with foil. Grey Knights finished in chrome, copper and gold leaf would be a hell of a thingie.
@@Miniscape-wh40k
@@Belzediel that would be a hell of a thing and I agree, it's not much of a selling point. Maybe nurgle is called upon when one is about to die. Option one: die; option two: I'll save you but you be stinky now. Does Slaanesh not qualify also as lord of bling?
Oh, I think Slaanesh is just fine being the god of 'absolutely not suitable for the notional age range of our primary customer base' but ymmv.

@Miniscape-wh40k I regret being only 13 then and only knowing the main GW store....
I thought that they tend to do the Made to Order miniatures in metal? I got a metal Bilbo Baggins that way.
I was also hoping he would be metal
Only if they were metal at the last time they were available normally. Since both those Hurons have been available fairly recently in resin they won't go metal, which is a shame. I notice they've changed this for the Old World though. Gotta cash grab that eavy metal nostalgia
Can one still order this dude?
From Jan 6th apparently
Your fantastically silly song has broken my will to not buy anything direct from GW.
Please, never again compose a melodic ditty on whisky, cigars or other such vice. I will be very out of pocket and equally morally bankrupt.
Kitbash him with an Ogryn and make a Hodor Blackheart.
You know what would make classic 40k miniatures better? Imperfections and bubbles in place of their faces, and the opportunity to get cancer!
😅
