❤ OMG... I loved this video so so so much... ahhhh... it took me back to 1997-2000 when I worked on the fragrance counter... i thoroughly enjoyed my job and learning all the top/middle or heart/base notes of the fragrances... i found out that most of the fragrances i liked had amber in them... i learnt about layering your fragrance e.g. if you use the matching body wash then moisturiser then spray your fragrance it would last 3 times longer than just wearing the fragrance alone and that a parfum lasts longer on the skin as it contains more oils than an eau fraiche that contains more alcohol which is why the parfum is usually more expensive... also fragrances smell different on different people due to the acidity in the skin... we were always encouraged to spray the fragrance onto the customer as fragrance needs warmth and moisture from the body to "activate" the fragrance... i was taught the top note is what you smell first from the initial spray which usually has most of the alcohol that doesn't last long... then as you said comes the middle or heart note which lasts longer then the base note and that is the scent that other people smell as you walk past... the funny thing is that by the time you reach the base note of your own fragrance you have become "nose blind" to it as you are used to the scent!!! Oh yeah... i was taught never to rub your wrists together after applying a fragrance as it "bruises" the fragrance caused by the friction!!! Some of my favourite fragrances through the years have been White Musk from The Body Shop, CK1, Obsession, Cerruti 1881, Dune, JLo glow, Dolce & Gabbana Femme, By Woman D & G, Channel Allure, Cool Water and Jean Paul Gaultier perfume... WOW... I've reeeeally waffled on a out my past... I've forgotten so much but remembered enough!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this video with your beautiful Daughter... you two remind me of my Daughter and me!! Xx hugs from England xx

That would be such a fun job to have(well for me at least lol) bc of my love of perfume! My mom loved jewelry and always said when she retires she’s going to work at the jewelry counter at macys😂👼. It is pronounced ambergris (say the “s”) not ambergree. It is not a French word. Ambergris is whale’s vomit NOT poop. It smells very bad (stinks) on its own, but it is worth a huge amount of money. If the perfume maker is lucky enough to get some, only a minute amount is needed. Ambergris used to be the basis of fragrances long ago. It is what made perfumes extremely expensive, smell excellent and caused the fragrances to last a long time on the skin. 😊
I did pronounce it incorrectly but it is poop! “Ambergris is definitely not vomit,” Christopher Kemp, author of “Floating Gold: A Natural (and Unnatural) History of Ambergris,” told CNN. “It's more like poop, and it comes from the same place as poop, but it's only made by a small percentage of sperm whales, as a result of indigestion.” Crazy way to get a scent that’s for sure!
Civet is a wild cat-like animal. They use the “musk” from its musk gland. 😊

Quince is a fruit. My grandmother had a quince tree in her backyard. I think she made preserves with it. I don't remember eating the fruit by itself.
