When I studied abroad in Bordeaux France i fell in love with their croissants. Don't forget the delicious pain de chocolate. Chocolate 🥐 and the wonderful Brioche.

I love croissants they are so delicious 😋 Al should be very proud of her. I love France. The language, the food, the art. ... loved this segment!! Tres Bien! Tres Bien👏
they MISSED MORI YOSHIDA!! the BEST croissant IMHO in Paris, BUT as a self-proclaimed croissant-head every trip to Paris contains at least 2 dedicated days of going from patisserie to patisserie looking for the best and I can tell all you Americans that the croissant they sell in your hotel or on ANY street corner is going to be 1000 times better than anything you get in the states (except Arsicault in San Francisco which is hands down the best on the planet) and will blow you away...it's the butter in France, we just don't have anything here as rich and creamy as they do.
@@forgeustiss6667Agreed - I speak French and was impressed with her French speaking abilities. You misunderstood me. It is an expression about Americans realizing the magical dream of life in Paris. It does not refer to all American tourists in Paris. I have been to Paris many times and am fully aware most Americans don't know any French. However, Jodie Foster is a fine exception.
Very interesting, Laila has apretty much a perfect french accent. The only reason why you know she's not from here is because of small grammatical errors ("vous êtes surprise?" instead of "surpris" since she was talking to a man. Meunier is a great bakery. Good products for a very reasonable price, especially for Paris. The croissants there zre excellent!
@@Meesh_elle, exactly! I guess my point is she made the effort and succeeded. Many people move to another country and never take the time to learn the local language. If you are there for a long time, or permanently, I think it’s a sign of respect to make the effort to learn.
What is this trend for puffy croissants? See all the so-called "influencers" eating over priced puffy croissants that look just like industrial stuff. No doubt the ingredients are good, but this isn't a proper croissant.
So, people with a lot of money they didn't have to work for can eat the finest food, and people with little money can sit and watch them stuff it in their face -- what else is new.
How fun that Al’s daughter lead them on the croissant crawl. She resembles a blend of her dad & her beautiful mom 😊
So cool that Leila moved to Paris speaks fluent French. Brava!!!
she misgendered the crookie guy but her accent is nice
Most Europeans speak more than one language, only in America was dual language frowned upon. Thank goodness that's changing♥
@@speakeasy911 frowned upon? what are you talking about?
@@speakeasy911🙄
@@jamesh2578Yep, not frowned upon, just not as common.
Al's daughter is gorgeous and that French accent is on point!
Al Roker's daughter, Leila, is lovely and certainly a chip off the proverbial old block.😊
She's beautiful
Yes she is
Wonderful to see Leila in Paris, and keeping the family broadcasting legacy afloat!
What beautiful French she speaks….❤❤❤
I’m so glad Al is feeling better and has returned back to the show. I really missed his energy.☺️
Al's daughter is a beautiful young lady and has me starving after watching this.
Al,you look marvelous and 1,000% better. And your daughter is thriving!
Lesla looks like her mother. What a fun segment.

Lucky young lady to have studied in Paris and is now living in the city itself.
She's absolutely gorgeous 😍
Wow; watching these different croissants made me hungry waking up on a Sunday morning, August 4, 2024.
Lol..not the croissant police. This was really cool. Leila is a mixture of both mom and dad.
That was fun! Now do a lemon tart crawl!🤩 NYC’s Dominique Ansel came up with the cronut…then people started doing hybrid other things with croissants.
What a pretty cool daughter.
❤ this!
How fun!
I love a good croissant with butter and to have it with an iced caramel coffee.
Wow 😮❤
I miss Paris so much
I love pastries oh my goodness 😊
"This looks so fun! Give us all the croissant recommendations, please!"
They have a very pretty/smart guide!!❤
Croissant with cookie should be forbidden.
A pitty that they focused on croissants only, the Babka at Chez Meunier is to die for!!!
Really AWESOME!!❤
Sounds delicious. My only complaint is that they didn't share it with me. 😃
Loved this video with Al's daughter who is the quintessential American in Paris.
No, she isn't because she speaks with a very fine French accent.

Hello pretty lady. Good going Al.
I’m jealous. But I have visited Paris a few times living in Germany for a few years.
God bless ya.
❤️❤️
Merci. That big croissant looks like it would last a week at least.
I haven't been to Paris in years, and I must try the crookie.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Holy cow! That is so huge! That would take me four days to eat that whole thing. I would pace myself. Otherwise,I’d eat it in one sitting. 😂
🎉 beautiful picture of you
This is news worthy. Wow.
Level love Layla,
She’s beautiful 💗
This is beautiful
That croissant was bigger than most people's heads!
XXL croissant by XXL chef Philippe Conticini, totally normal 😂
She is the adopted daughter of his first marriage, the younger two kids are Deborah and his together 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
That crookie croissant look gooder than a mug
so delicious, hope you one day you can try argentine croissants are called "medialunas", besos desde argentina
She looks so much like her mom
Please don't eat your croissant like a sandwich, rip small pieces and eat them one by one!
Enjoy!

Ain’t NO croissants like the ones in Paris. PERIOD! That’s all they really had that interested me…I was ret ta go! But for those croissants! 🤷🏾♀️
why NYC doesn't have croissant like that...
Lack of proper farm butter + not willing to put the amount of skilled hand work and rest time needed for the dough to be perfect.
I do hope she speaks French after seven years in Paris! 😊 Good for her. Félicitations!
"After seven years" some other people do not. Leila does, because she is intelligent and motivated.
