Thank you for this video. I don’t do protein treatments because my hair gets very brittle and breaks when protein touches my hair. I’ve tried many hair recipes from Green Beauty, they all worked very well for my hair. She said that everyone should at least try her real protein treatment before claiming that they are protein sensitive. Though she said this I was always afraid to try this because of what happened in the past, but you make me want to try it. Thanks again for the video!!!!!!🙂
I have always been afraid to use full blown hydrolyzed protein too.. but decided to gather my coins together and try her own. I was not disappointed. Just make sure you use it with a product that has NO PROTEIN
I WAS THE SAME. Thought I couldn’t tolerate protein. But - I realized my hair benefits from it every 4 weeks. THIS product is light - my hair is fine, low porosity, and ultra sensitive. I used it per the recommendation for low porosity hair, 3 Tbsp to 1/2 cup deep conditioner (no protein in this), I only used half the prepared amount AAAAAAND BABY! My curls are STILL SINGING AND THANKING ME. Seriously, no/less frizz, moisture galore. Hair stretched better too. See green beauty’s video describing the chemistry of this product.
DiscoveringNatural I’ve used it off and on for years but this year I’ve been consistent using it every other month because I’ve incorporated rice water rinses weekly.
I've used another protein treatment from Gold Medal Hair Products. I mix it with regular conditioner and apply it on my hair. It was good......I'm not planning on purchasing the product because I love the other one. However, this is a great review.
DiscoveringNatural 4 months. I used it twice a month initially for two months and now I use it only once a month when I go in with my sulfate shampoo. My hair just feels so much stronger and my hair responds to products better
I loved Kera Care's Super Reconstructor, but it seems like they've discontinued it. At the beginning of the year I bought the Aphogee 2 step but I didn't like it at all. I just used it 3-4X to get rid of it. I'm interested in this one though. You could see that it made your hair more springy as soon as you applied it, and that's what I like from my protein treatments.
Definitely give this a try. If your hair feels too dry after 2 days, do a moisturizing deep conditioning or instead of doing a leave in after the protein treatment, do a moisturizing deep conditioning.
You should try it. You can add it to your favorite deep conditioner. I have low porosity hair and I use this product and my hair has never felt hard, dry or brittle afterwards.
DiscoveringNatural I asked one question already but I forgot about this, is coconut oil a protein? I used it frequently to pre poo overnight with a plastic cap on my head. it was basically just pretty moist the next morning or wet and then I would shampoo it out. my shampoos or generally every 2 to 3 weeks most probably 3.
Made your coils POP! Very Beautiful Results!😍💟💝💕 I am afraid to use full blown protein conditioners, too. Because even thought my hair is high porosity; it still gets rather brittle with protein application. Maybe I should give her protein treatment a try because my hair took a beating this past freezing cold winter; and broke off all around the perimeter. Hhhhmmm..🤔 Lol!
Hello. Do u think it is okay for to mix the protein treatment with a normal rinse out conditioner(that is moisturizing) or does it have to be a deep conditioner. Thanks
Oh really? I am so checking it out. Thanks so much and thank you once more for the rope twist tip.I have it on right now and my twists look much better.😊😊
My lord, your hair looks like a fluffy soft pillow, with so much springiness in your strands! I feel like you about the apogee treatment. After watching your awesome demo and review I will purchase green beauty product. Thank you for sharing.
Hello. How do you suggest a regimen with putting a color rinse in my hair. I have low porosity 4c. I was thinking wash first, put the rinse and go under the dryer, rinse out, then do my regular LCO method. What do you think?
Hi, I have not tried a rinse in my Natural Hair however, when I was relaxed, I would first shampoo and then redo the rinse and then deep condition, however please do your research first
I have used different ones but make sure they do not contain protein. For example Kadima organic beauty products hair mask, if I used a conditioner that already has protein, it is too much for my Low porosity hair
@@DiscoveringNatural oh I thought maybe u could recommend one. Thank you. I did use this treatment and could notice a difference just my putting it on. It feels stronger now. I was amazed.
@@DiscoveringNatural I've been using the product everyweek for a while now. I want to start the rice water challenge but i don't want to stop using it. Do you think it will be ok? I don't know my hair porosity.
@@yv8740 replying 3yrs later, but I'm hoping you've done a porosity test by now on clean hair strands. That way you know what you're working with and how much of what ingredients you ought to use. From the reviews and very limited information ive gathered on rice water, it might harden one's hair, so probably useful to follow up with a deep moisturising treatment as done for other proteins so your hair doesn't get too hard and break

*What PROTEIN TREATMENT do you use?*
Here is how to know when you need protein treatment in your hair
: bit.ly/DN_When_To_Do_Protein_Treatment
Do u need to do another deep conditioning step after u have already used the protein and conditions step?
Ten drops of this is enough for me and I have low porosity hair...this is very strong..
TheSarahIR you should
No, I do not. However, if you feel you need to, it is okay. My hair was okay with just using a leave in conditioner afterwards.
Thanks for sharing how you use this
Your hair looked fabulous after the treatment. The elasticity is great!
Thank you so much

I love this protein treatment by GB.
I am so glad you like it too
Nice elasticity and porosity and that protein treatment left it shinny

I have heard of another one called Enitan protein defense. I saw it on @bbk supernatural channel
Hair looks really healthy. Have never used protein on my hair. I recently just cut it all off so no need.
You can still benefit from protein treatments even with short hair.
Sis when you came back from rinsing your curls curls curls hunty 😍
Thank you

I use Aphogee. My hair loves it!! I would love something more natural though!! How many uses would you get out of this bottle?

Can you still do the LOC method after doing a protein treatment ?

Yes, you can

Certainly worth trying 💕
This is the only protein treatment I ever use. Nothing else has ever worked.

Thank you. I have actually used the Aphogee 2 mins and let me say, that one was a child’s play versus this one.. well .. for my hair at least. 😉

How many times a month should you do protien, also eggs are for eating they are expensive
