I am planning a trip in October for my birthday and started to feel hopeless about going when the weather starts to get worse but it's always been a dream of mine to see the northern lights! I am still excited to visit this October and hopefully one day I will come back during the summer months! Thanks again!

Hi Jan, I have never visited Iceland before but am always fascinated by the beautiful scenery in the countryside. I've heard that weather can change very fast in Iceland and tourists have to be well prepared for different weather conditions.
Hello Ben, yes that's true. Weather can change here often during the day especially close to the glaciers which often have their own microclimates. Maybe I've just gotten used to it, but in my opinion the weather doesn't change as quick as people think. Unless you're driving, then you can definitely feel it when you go from sunny to rain storm and sunny again in 5 minutes 😅 one just have to watch the forecast carefully and have some good clothes
