  • This is the first time to this event as well.
And it was like no other. The crowds and the parties were unreal.
This is the biggest row our class has had this year. After running as high as 6th and going back and forth with more riders from my line than ever before, I ended up 11th of 20. I got two of my three crashes on camera. The last was on the third lap when a guy in front of me crashed over a whoop hill in the woods and I went down avoiding him. That send my bike into a gully in the woods which took me too much time to get out. I did try the steepest section of Ironman Hill on the third lap - toward the end of the video. It was way steeper as I approached it than it looked otherwise. Luckily, I made it up ok with only a little bobble at the root ball at the top. The track was a lot of fun and I was getting the hang of the field sections by the end, so I'm ready to attack them from the start next year !

Was a nice mix of technical pieces, hill climbs, and fast fields.

You caught 2 of my mishaps...
1st one, 1st lap up a difficult hill, I picked a bad line, your video saw me picking my bike up on an incline.
2nd, I made a pass on you & another guy in neon pink in a field, then crashed entering the woods.
    Great video....
Oh, and we bumped at the start too.
My video should be up tomorrow.
    Cheers.

Thanks for reaching out. Glad you like the video. I subscribed to your channel so I'll get notice when your video is up. Yeah, it took me too long to get the hang of the fields. I think I was doing much better by the end. haha I remember the field pass and then crash. I glad both of us could avoid you. I wasn't sure if you were gonna dart back to your bike at first. Congrats on your finish. It was a close fun race. I've never went back and forth with so many different guys in my class !

I just came across Your video from the Ironman race. There was 4-5 passes back and forth there. I couldn't leave a comment on your video, so figured I would try this.
      Looking forward to this season.

For some reason i always thought GNCC was one lap.. never really watched or looked into it. Only just recently thought about going to the one coming up in october (same race)

The morning (AM / 'Amateur') race is 2 hours - roughly. The Pro race is 3 hours. This is a great race to do. Nothing is real technical and the crowds and activities there are awesome.

Sounds like there were a lot of 125 or 150 cc’s in your class?!

I noticed one 125. The others were smaller bore, younger classes coming from rows behind us old guys.
