Arguably the best guitarist of the genre. Used inversions like crazy. That first bend of the riff is crazy. Not quite too pitch on purpose. Just a killer riff. Awesome job!! You nailed it Jake... best lesson I've seen on MEATPLOW. Wanted to follow-up on my comment from a year ago. DEF one of my favorites to play. Just a blast.
Best lesson on MEATPLOW on RUclips. This guy changed the way I played it. And the way I played it....especially with the distorted sound good. But this is perfect. Thanks AGAIN brother. Perfect man. Great riff.... great song, great album.
@@felipemendietacastilla187 So true! His riffs are unique and I remember the day when I learned how to play Interstade Love Song, which drove me crazy back in the day, because I simply did not know where to begin that CRAZY Riff, but in the End I managed to find the starting position. Ahh.. the joy and happiness of that moment heheeeeeeeh!
For some reason it wriggled its way into my brain earlier this year and has been stuck there most of the year and it's become one of my fave STP songs.
Thanks bro. I was playing the opening riff using my ring finger and playing the open E, then 2nd fret F#, then open A, then sliding from the 2nd fret on the A (B) to to the 4th on the A (C#).... and then to the F#. I knew Deleo played inversion A LOT so although it sounded OK....I knew it wasn't exact. Thanks man.
+JakesGuitarVids Jake, do you know where I can get a backing track with vocals for this, I love playing this song ? This song is killer. Nice job on the chords. Cheers Scott forever !!!
Amazing work. Thanks for so much value. I can’t believe I can now make this sound myself when back in the 90s I could only air guitar it. 😅😂 A million times thanks bro!
The chords are in std tuning but sound like dropped D.... wicked sound and song... definitely gonna add this song to my must learn list... great job instruction my friend....
Thanks for breaking this down so well, I can't believe I'm playing one of the best STP opening riffs! Still alot of practice needed to speed it up though :)
I hear that. Certain guitars are tougher to play that part than others. The main thing is just playing it over and over again and it'll get easier to play on any guitar.

Dean and Robert loved inversions. Dean especially was so underrated.
Underrated song but for me one of their best...nuce work man!!
Me too bro.

Uggg!!!! That F power chord on the 1st fret on a Gibson Les Paul Custom is not fun lol!
I hear that. Certain guitars are tougher to play that part than others. The main thing is just playing it over and over again and it'll get easier to play on any guitar.
You can get this same sound just not barring the F..that pinky finger is hitting the same note as the open B chord.
Spot on bro. chords look tricky & time consuming :(
Pathetic comment
