This Canadian gal is presently making this right now for a man's scarf. This stitch would also be lovely in a blanket....thank you so much as your instructions are outstanding
I love this stitch! I am beginner and I have trouble with my mind wandering while I crochet and this stitch afforded me the ability to see exactly where I was in the stitch and what I needed to do next. I was able to follow along with the video through first viewing and make a neck warmer! I only had to rewind once to make sure I was doing the end of rows correctly and I watched your "magic knot" video to switch from one skein to another. Thank you so much for making this video! I am proud of the neck warmer and look forward to trying this stitch in different weights of yarn to see how it turns out.
I have done the double waffle stich. However, I only do two double crochet stitches for the in stitch and not the three. In my opinion it looks better and makes the waffle look better.
I love the waffle stitch a lot. I’m in love with the double waffle stitch. I’m always looking for new stitches. Thank you for showing me this one. Have a Merry Christmas!
Yayyy 😘 💋❤️ thank you for taking your time to show and teach us Sarah Jane.. in past I did a waffle blanket you taught here on Bella Coco previously 😜😁 thanks for this too 😁❤️👏👏
Hi Lorraine that's brilliant, it really is an addictive hobby. I have several border tutorials so if you check out bella coco borders on youtube they will all come up and you can choose which one would suit you the best :)
Looks so cool I wish I could try making it but I cut my finger with a can lid and I ended up at the hospital with 3 stitches have them for 10 days 😭 thanks for the tutorial its so pretty😁
I would double check that you're working the front post and back post stitches correctly; you should be inserting your hook all the way around the 'column' under the top of each stitch. When you work a front post this should make the stitch stick out to the front; a back post stitch should make it stick out towards the back 😊
Hi Sara Jane my name is Kaye. I know this is an older tutorial but I want to make a granny square baby blanket with this pattern. Could you tell me what multiple and size squares I would need for a blanket that is 45×60 with a number 4 medium yarn. 🌹🌹
Hi Kaye this is one of those questions that is really difficult to answer as it totally depends on your yarn, hook size (I know you have given these) but most of all your tension. May I suggest that you make a few different size squares to see which one would work better for your project. Good Luck :)
I just started my next blanket with this stitch! I did find i have one extra stitch at the end of row 2. Would it be to off pattern to have 3 top DCs instead of two?
I don't think it would be too noticeable if you were to have an extra stitch but if you wanted to check where you might have gone wrong you can find the full written instructions over on my blog here: bellacococrochet.com/double-waffle-stitch/ 😊
I’m a beginner with this kind of stitch so if you can send me the written instructions and I can follow on the video as well I would appreciate it a lot
If you wanted to include more front post stitches you would need to alter the starting multiple; I would try chaining in multiples of seven instead of five as this will give you two extra stitches in each repeat 😊

You’re welcome 😊
Making myself a blanket using this pattern and I’m in love with it so far x

Started this yesterday and I'm loving it. I only started crochet a week ago I'm hooked. Do u have a video for a border for this blanket please xx

Beauty pattern, going to try this one for a baby blanket I need to make. Is it a yarn eater like regular waffle stitch?
Looks so cool I wish I could try making it but I cut my finger with a can lid and I ended up at the hospital with 3 stitches have them for 10 days 😭 thanks for the tutorial its so pretty😁
You're very welcome and I hope your finder isn't too sore 😀
@@bellacococrochet Thanks1😁
Just finished a baby blanket in the double waffle stitch and love it but do u have a border for it please
I think a plain border always looks nice with double waffle stitch - how about a few rounds of moss stitch to finish? 🙂
Love this! Where did you get your hook?!
The hook is from one of the crochet society subscription boxes :)
I finally figured this out but how to I get a fp waffle stitch to stick out more than the back post? On mine I can't tell much diff

@@bellacococrochet thank you. Now how do I get waffle stitch to look even like yours?

Thank you for the advice. I will try that. I'll send you a picture when I get it done. It's for my new nephew coming soon.🧶🧶

You can find the written instructions on my blog - blog.bellacococrochet.com/double-waffle-stitch/ :)
If I want ur pattern to be 4 fpdc and 4bpdc what would your stitch count be
Ohhh i love the crochet hook, where did you get that?
😀Hi Vicki these hooks are exclusively for The Crochet Society boxes and are not available to purchase
Where did u get that gorgeous hook? 😍
😀These hooks are exclusive for The Crochet Society Boxes
Is there a written pattern for this pattern
The written pattern can be found on my blog - blog.bellacococrochet.com/double-waffle-stitch/ :)
How do I increase the fpdc from 3 to 5
If you wanted to include more front post stitches you would need to alter the starting multiple; I would try chaining in multiples of seven instead of five as this will give you two extra stitches in each repeat 😊
Is this pattern reversible
Yes, it will be textured on both sides :-)
1:00 Slip knot, 5 chains
1:42 Row 1 Treble crochet into 3rd chain from hook
2:25 Row 2
Anyone who has tried this,
Is this pattern a yarn-eater?
0:14
Lovely stitch but I have to say I think you are going quicker with the instructions that you used to.
Hi you can pause and slow down the video if you need to 😀
