Fr man even if it devastates me that the Suns lost, I can’t help but be happy that Giannis might’ve just saved the NBA. I’m pretty sure less NBA players are gonna pull a Kevin Durant now.

I wanted the Bucks to win the championship ever since the beginning of the playoffs and said they would even if I didn't believe at times. Im so happy Giannas stayed with the bucks it means so much to the NBA that a homegrown star stayed loyal and delivered a Championship.

Didn't earn it... He lost bro. Gotta win it to earn it.
Giannis proves that sticking with the team that developed you has a lot more value than many players thought.
Didn’t klay and curry prove the same? I’ll say it over and over. He just needed jrue and khris to show up. They finally did
Nah I think players know that but most players aren't in a position where their front office will build a great team around them. KD is the only person who I know that had a team built around him but they still left. I mean look at damian lillard he most likely won't win a championship and he's doing exactly what giannis did staying loyal.
No, people are prisoners of the moment...his route was literally perfect, I compare this to Kawhi's chip. Injuries were the true catalyst, I give mad props to Gianni's but let's not act like he gonna repeat....Knock it off...
@@hishamziard8473 yeah you are right. Superteams was not a very popular concept going into the 2016 NBA season. It was when Kevin Durant won the 2017 NBA championship with the Warrior that all hell broke loose.
It shows that if your patient with the small market teams and they reward you for your loyalty it can pay off
The Suns are the first team in NBA History to lose a playoff game shooting 55% from the field and 60% from three.
Devin Booker is the first player in NBA History to have a 40+ points in back-to-back Finals games and lose both games.
They played very good the bucks just played even better
The Suns are GREAT team, with a GREAT coach who's probably netter than Bucks coach. They where just unlucky, that they Bucks have Giannis and more experienced players. If the Suns don't change much. in the next 2-3 years, they can be unbeatable team and get the Champonship.
Even though he was scorching hot, down the stretch in the last 3 games he was doing the biggest ball hogging I’ve ever seen from any player. No disrespect tho he’ll learn from it, it was his only playoffs after all. Cp3 should realistically take the blame for showing zero tenacity
Coach Bud already knew the Suns strategy after game 2 and their momentum was lost after game 5.
That whats made this finals special, both teams are great!
The brilliant move with Jrue Holiday is that his floor was way way higher than Bledsoe, and he has the ability to lock down other players. Bledsoe when he was bad was abhorrent, and he wasn't playing defense. That small difference can win or lose a series
His floor? I believe the saying is his ceiling, floor being higher makes absolutely 0 sense lol. Unless someone is underground lmao

Offensively, Jrue can be as bad as Bledsoe but in the other things (facilitating, defense etc.) Jrue is a lot better at taking off the load from Giannis than Chokesoe had.
Always gonna remember that dunk Giannis had over 3 players in the post, basically sums up his finals performance for me
That dunk, his game-winning lob, and that block should all be on posters. Idk how he did it in his first Finals appearance but it was all just so beautiful and iconic.
I screamed so loud on that dunk, that my neighbors called the Police. They thought I killed somebody, but it was actually Giannis killing the Suns!
I'm gonna always remember that alley-oop dunk to close Game 5 b/c Chris Paul shoved Giannis like a little bitch, hoping he would hurt his knee again.

To correct your first statement, Chuck picked them the whole way through and got laughed at.
The last 3 year stretch for Giannis has been one of my favorite to watch especially any player.
CP3's a/t ratio told me everything I needed to know. I truly believe his injury was worse than he let on. He ran out of gas at the end and tried to play, what my coach used to call "maintenance ball", his effort was not that of someone trying to win the FINALS. I can't believe I'm saying this but....sometimes Cameron Payne looks like he belonged on the floor instead of Paul. Despite the defense he would give up.
The Suns had all the chips fall their way, they went up 2-0, all they had to do was closeout. But you could see the Bucks were HUNGRY. I'm happy for Giannis. I was sad for CP3, but if you put on the tape of Giannis and CP3 and asked me after; who played their heart out? Who wanted it more? The answer is obvious.
That was an excellent breakdown I totally agree with everything you said 💯
P
If you replace cp3 with any other allstar pg the media would be going ballistic with the slander. Sad for him because it would’ve built up a better legacy but Giannis just shut up all the media suckoffs and I’m happy for him.
All of that might be true but he played well enough to kill that , they just didn't have enough , and the bucks were underrated as a team
giannis’s championship is good for the nba. it’s the perfect depiction of resilience and loyalty. their playoff run was like a movie. and especially overcoming the failures and criticism of the past…its truly beautiful. myself formerly being a HUGE Giannis critic, it’s nice to see him prove me wrong. congrats giannis and the bucks.
I’m sure seeing Giannis win is gonna make Dame leaving Portland that much harder of a decision. Congrats btw Bucks fans.

For the 2020s, I have Luka or Giannis.
2010s was Not only Lebron but The whole Golden state dynasty
This was the most unpredictable playoffs ever and I think this is fitting because 10 years ago Dirk won his and now Giannis got his and they’re both on the team that drafted them. 👏
I wanted the Suns to win but Giannis was just showing his greatness on the court and I can’t knock him for that.

He's got sooo much potential and Giannis is sooo dedicated that by the end of his career I could easily see Giannis end up being a Top 10 NBA Player of All Time

we can argue about a lot of things, but in this situation you're just wrong
Nah, he still got double/triple teamed in this series. He just got better at finishing and using some finesse to get past everyone.
dude, every superstar gets double teamed in the playoffs. the problem with giannis was that you could build a wall and effectively shut him down almost completely or make him totally inefficient. it was his lack of flexibility or "bag" that was a big part of their problems in the playoffs. thats what he meant. and this year giannis overcame that (at least to some degree) and changed his own playstyle.
How always be the first to tell you that if you want to leave a team that has mistreated you go ahead how ever I will always prefer a superstar to stay with their team because it taste so much sweeter when you actually get that ring
