Watching this makes me realize how much I miss the 2015-16 and 2016-17 runs and how much I miss Kessel, Kunitz, Flower, Bonino, Hagelin, and now Hornqvist and likely soon to be Matt Murray 😭
Man as penguin fans we were SPOILED rotten from 2015-2017, watching this video brings back so many memories!! I knew after Kunitz's double OT goal there was no stopping us that year! I remember telling myself if the pens go back to back I'll never ask for anything more from them for a loooong long time!!!!!

You're so lucky!!! I was at every home game except the finals. Could never find student rush tickets.. I tried for hours.. could you imagine if we won at home in 2016??!?!
Watching this in 2024 makes me so sad. Those back to back cup teams were really special. Such a great group of guys on and off the ice. It just doesn’t feel the same now, especially after losing Jake too
That Kunitz 2OT goal is my favorite goal, and perhaps favorite play in Penguins history. So much tension, so much on the line, and what a release when that was scored. Fleury's save at the end of game 7 in '09 is right up there too.
I didn't sit from the Sens tying goal up until the pens were on the rush to win. I sat down, looked away at something as my mom is standing up yelling at the TV 😂 good memories
The Series between Pittsburgh and Ottawa was one of the best I've ever watched. That was the real cup final that year. That Sens team was just so good. 1:25 I still miss Duper
Five Stanley Cups raised....all on road ice. I AM grateful to have a team that's been this successful in the modern era, but it's a little bittersweet to never see it in person.
I was at the home clincher against the sharks in 16 with like 20k fans outside....only for then pens to get destroyed. Still id rather win 5 on the road then 1 or 2 at home.

Some people walked out of there hockey fans that day. Maybe made them Penguins fans too.
I've never forget number 4. I'm from Australia so the games fell either during the day or very early in the morning. Game 7 was in the middle of class and when Kunitz scored I nearly broke the table I was sitting at, completely outted that I was watching NHL to my teacher and yet she didn't care so I got away with it me and another guy in the class were going nuts. Great memories. I need to get out there to watch a game sometime 🐧🐧🐧💛💛💛

Kunitz's Triple OT winner was just amazing. I'm firmly in Columbus territory, and I actually had one of my neighbors tell me that they heard my family all yelling and celebrating, through CLOSED WINDOWS! The things that hockey makes us do.
Of all the success the penguins have had since Crosby has entered the league. I still wish that we could have beat the living snot out of the Red Wings in '08 & ran it back in '09. I hope there's some magic left and we get to see one more cup come back to Pittsburgh before Sid hangs it up. That bullet of a shot by Kunitz is in my top five Pens memories. He had so.much heat on it. Even in slow motion it was hard to track that puck when it went in. Miss that guy! Awesome player for the Pens!
That Senators team I'll always respect, the level of fight they've put up was unbelievable. Everytime I thought it was over they refused to go down, it took some weird knuckler in double ot to finally beat them.
