- I have been getting tons of feedback asking for more fishing videos. I will not be doing them all the time but having fun out on the water. In this video I fish with mostly bread and have pretty good results. 5 different species caught with bread. Pretty good day at the lake.

I took a break from the video, grabbed some bread from the fridge, and got a ~2 lb largemouth bass in fifteen minutes. Thanks for the tip!

@Cakey3 good bread, not the crappy supermarket stuff. no preservatives in it so it keeps longer in the fridge. it'll last maybe two days on the counter or two weeks in the fridge.

A couple hours ago I put a little piece of bread on my hook in our neighbors backyard pond and caught a catfish and I didn’t even know there was catfish in there!!

I use bread sometimes when I go fishing, but I roll the bread into a small tight ball then hook it. Looks like a fun day 🎣

I once won the total poundage category in a carp fishing contest. I brought one hook, 8-10 feet of monofilament, and one crust of bread. I cut a branch from a willow tree for a pole. And no, it wasn’t a kid’s contest.

The smaller spinning setup was a cheap Shimano Reel with a fishbone pole. I don't know the name of the big spinning setup but it was a saltwater combo I picked up

Yeah I made a bread ball and put the hook through it so it’s not exposed
I noticed when u feel strikes on line , u give pull jerk first. So is this step mandatory to get the fish get hooked ? I am just starter so I need to know this
Generally ill be watching the line if I see line swimming in another direction I'll give my pole a jerk to hook the fish.
If you're using a "j" hook yes, you'll need to set the hook. If you're using a "c" hook (usually for bigger fish) do not set the hook, the fish will set the hook for you as it swims away.
Bread, hotdogs chunks, and worms seem like the most consistent baits.

I don't think stripper will bite bread. Im not sure what a progy is.

When I was like 8 me and my friends used to go fishing and we used bread. We caught fish nonstop.
Now in my adult life.. I bought 2 fishing poles and a bunch of lures and everything.. I still haven't caught a fish. It's been like a month.
I've only been fishing the neighborhood pond which isn't the best spot but the idea of using bread has popped up in my head lately
It's not just you fishing has been tough this year. Also ponds can be amazing or awful. Some get so much pressure. Gotta try something they have not seen every day. That's part of the fun and the real reward is getting fish after you figure out what they want.

Depends on what you are fishing for. But if you are fishing for bass you could use a texas rig or drop sho with senko or trick worm. You have to fish is really slow. No one wants to move a lot on the cold so its gotta be something they can eat easily with not much effort. The slower the better.

@@raymonds7492 No Bass, no Crappie... We do have Chub, Perch, Pike, Rudd, Roach, Bream, Tench and Carp (which we go crazy for). I know Carp arent such a big deal in your neck of the woods but we spend a fortune on Carp gear over here!

I see people fish for hours and catch nothing and they use worms. Dont use that use Corn, Bread, Hotdog, Meats. Hope it helps!

That ain't true here in Australia we basically eat most of our baits as a dare and 90% of the time doesn't even taste bad 😂
