you should check out the raimondi vite system its on contractors direct its a spin down system but it has an attachment for the drill so if it starts to wear out your fingers on a big floor job you can switch to the drill attachment. i like it much better than the SPIN DR. and I have found it to be cleaner than using a clip and wedge system.

Thanks for the idea! I'll have a review video up on that in a few weeks!

Looks great, nice that it's made in the USA! What do you think about the Rubi Level Quick system? I used it recently to install a 6x40 wood look floor and it worked well but there were some challenges with it.

You were stressing that these were for LARGE FORMAT tiles. Does this mean that I don't need to use these for regular 13 x 13 inch floor tiles?

yes, use for 13 inch tiles

How many would you need for 36" long tiles in a 1700sq ft home

I am doing a 400 sq foot room at the moment i had 4 bags each bag of caps 22 bucks a piece. Spaces are 11 bucks a bag ...only had enough to do a 1/4 of the room ...thats the downside of these you will spend 10xs the amount just in spaces ...i regret signing up for this with these spaces just because you need SOOOOO MANY to take on a large space ...and half the caps broke when we used rubber mallet ....no matter how gentle we were ...good for leveling tiles and beginners but terrible in price ...especially when half of them broke

I bought this system at Lowes. What I did not realize is that there are 3 different types of bases to be used in 3 different areas of the tile. Marshalltown packages them in basically identical packaging. I thought they were all the same bags. F Marshalltown and F their crappy leveling system.

Cut the small plastic notch off with your wet saw. Takes about 15 minutes to do a whole bag. I buy the stuff that people don’t want to buy and make it work in a pinch 😎

My tiler says there’s no way to get tiles flat and they use T brackets and wedge. I think that’s BS. It it would be nice to see if you could get real tile planks level and not perfect sheets of glass.

I tried this system with no luck. When I tightened the caps, the tiles could move. If I was using one in the corner I couldn't see the tile corner alignment because they're under the caps. This also made it very tough to make sure that the small raised notch that spaces the tile didn't end up under a tile in the process of everything moving around. I bought 100 caps. Out of those 16 broke as I pushed them onto the base. I give this system two thumbs down.

Are you a beginner tile setter? Was this your first job?

I like the spindle system but it's far too expensive for the clips apposed to the wedge system. U can get 2000 wedge clips for 95$
