- A basic EFI conversion on an A12 in a Datto 1000 wagon. Budget setup, using Hyundai excel(accent USA) parts. Microsqurt V3 ECU. It went from 21 Kw atw with the standard carb to 29 Kw atw. Still have to put the turbo on it.

Absolutely brilliant! I've worked on both NISSAN A12 and A14 motors. The OEM Hitachi carburettor was far from perfect, as was the distributor. You are a master!
This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm dumbstruck.

Did you say 29kw?? I thought the standard A12 engine produced 51kw from the OEM?? I am confused.

Does anybody know what are the differences between A12 engines??? Why there is written in european magazines and german brochures 52hp engine power ant69hp in other brochures??? I have bought in UK Cherry FII 120A Coupe and it has 69hp written on its VIN plate. But some of brochures and articles says FII and N10 has only 52 hp. The same situation is in case of 1400 engine. As I know, there was any major changes between these engines availabe after years in Europe.
The only difference between them {A12} is the head , some have round port exhaust and some have oval {A12GX/A12T} , n10 is 988cc engine {it's not n10 it's e10 i think } .

How is it 21 kw atw ???? it's more like 50 kw atw stock .
All the standard A12's I have had on the dyno, have been between 19 and 23Kw ATW. These engines are rated at 69Hp standard and that is at the flywheel.

If it's 23 kw at the wheel it means that your engine is about 50 horse power or a bet less at the crank , and the datsun is a light weight car so it should give a bet more than that at the wheel , am now just wondering if some thing was wrong with your car/cars ...
It is not possible to accurately calculate engine power from a figure that has been measured at the axel.
