For anyone out there who might think is impossible, you can do it. I did my course on my own, purchased the materials from. @@dianneray1291 Thank you Diane. Stay positive and follow the process, it will not fail you. Also, set goals in terms of time. For example by the 1 hr mark, you need to complete x amount of questions, just so you can maximize your time and to get back to skpped questions. Good luck and God's speed.

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your time, knowledge and experience with so many of us. Your videos are an invaluable resource and the fact that you never ask for anything but "a like and to share" is unheard of in this day and time. Your selflessness is a gift. I took classes at a community College that were supposed to be taught in a classroom but because of covid they switched to 100% online. I passed and graduated last December, but felt like I had learned nothing. I knew I wasn't close to being ready to pass the CPC exam. So I spent the spring and summer watching your videos, doing the homework and doing practice exams. I took the exam the 1st week in July and didn't pass (67%). But I got right back up and tried again and today I found out I passed!! I wanted to share this with you and for those that don't pass the first time, don't give up on yourself. IT'S A HARD EXAM. Just dust yourself off and get up and try again. Thanks again! You are awesome!!

Hello, it's good to see one more of your videos. Fortunately I found your channel after having failed my first attempt. Tomorrow I have a second option which is a Beta testing exam. I don't know if you have information about this type of test, if the format of The questions is the same as a regular exam, I have never heard of this type of exam before.
I really appreciate your strategy and teaching method.
The purpose of beta testing is to evaluate new exam questions after they has made a few changes in the exam probably due to the code changes. Regardless, it is still a multiple choice question exam so don't forget to follow my tips and strategies, you will be fine. I wish you the best of luck for your exam tomorrow. You can do it.

Hello, I did quite well on the exam, I was able to complete all 100 questions in the 4 hours without difficulty and it was not as exhausting as the 5 hours and 40 minutes.
Hoang's videos and strategies were very helpful. Since I was able to get to the answers in less time. I wish your co-worker the best of luck.

In your professional opinion, Is it beneficial for new coders to go for their COC if they already have their CPC? Is their a real difference between the COC & CPC?
Yes, if you watch all of my videos and understand my strategies then you should pass both exams CPC and COC exam without any problem. The COC exam is designed for hospital coder and CPC exam is for physician coder. Having more than one coding credentials will give you an advantage of getting hire by a hospital so you should take the COC exam while your exam preparation is still fresh in your mind. I hope it helps.
hi, I was just watching this video and on question 11 you had put the wrong code. you put for one of the codes to chose from as 60550 and there is nothing for that code. The code should be 60650 which of course is not the correct answer.

Sir one doubt my tutor told me.. Whenever in the document the words omentum, adhered, obstruction are there it is another word for incarcerated or strangulated .. So code for incarcerated and strangulated.. Is it true or not sir...?
Hi Meena. Coders are not clinicians. We DO NOT interpret the clinical documentation as a definite diagnosis. The physician has to document if it is obstructed or with gangrene before you can assign a combination code for inguinal hernia with obstruction or gangrene. I want you to open your ICD-10-CM book and look under this code K40.3 for unilateral inguinal hernia, with obstruction without gangrene, you will see another terms that will share the same codes: incarcerated, irreducible, strangulated. ect. I hope it helps.

The physician has to document if the hernia is incarcerated or strangulated before we are able to use that code 49653
You can query the physician to see if it is in fact an incarcerated hernia. As a coder, we do not interpret the lab, x-rays
