Glad to see the brutal honesty, I just recently started trading at the start of this year after some time just buying stock shares and doing some swing trades, and boy was I in for a ride. Day trading is HARD , and I am a stubborn mf as in I dont give up and it has tested my patience and sanity but that doesn’t mean I over leverage, I have my rules and a system that I follow but even with that , it is mentally and emotionally challenging because you win and get above break even and think you finally know what you’re doing only to get a reality check over and over. I’ve only been at this for months and I am watching as many videos, taking in as much information as I can, even joined a community that specifically trades. I’m interested to see what will happen in a few years

Ouch. That's got to hurt. I have been paper trading for 6 months and have funded an account with 200 dollars twice. I lost the first 200 dollars because of the psychology and I went back to paper trading for a few months until I proved to myself that my 30 pip strategy works more than it doesnt. Now my next 200 dollars is slowly making gains. I tested and tested my version of the London breakout strategy before funding the second time. This has completely resolved my psychological barriers to trading and it has paid off. If I continue to be profitable for the rest of the year I may add more funds, but only if I continue to be profitable. Trading will eat your funds alive if you're not properly prepared. I only lost 200 dollars and that hurt. I can't imagine losing 300k.

Actually have only ever asked that once or twice since learning of the existing of trading over a year ago, as brutal as price can be sometimes. I do understand that feeling when you have 4 trades in a row immediately change directions like it was reacting to your entry or very possibly a lot of entries into the market and do the exact opposite, easy to have that emotion.

I started small, small wins, small loses if you have stable income start with percentages and scale up over time if done right you initial investment should only be 2k max then keep your profits in the account until your happy with profit gains on that same initial percentage
If she has 300k in the first place then she already sounds successful in whatever she’s doing. She also said she started learning last year. I’ve heard many traders say it didn’t take them until 7-10 years. Some said 1-2 years. I’m sure she has a lot to learn and her psychology is way off. She definitely needs a step back and a mentor if she doesn’t have already.
Thanks for sharing Arty and great advice - a message to the community, I’ve just joined the ‘The Trading Floor’ (19.99 gbp per month) and can’t recommend enough, working through the syllabus which is extremely well structured and informative is providing me with exactly what I need to get my skills and mindset in order as I have already falling for revenge trading and placing trades without carrying out the correct analysis. Work through the course and at the end of it, if you are not able to follow all the advice and unable to profit overall, then trading is not for you. Education is key, not losing $300k of your life savings !!!

I plan on using $25,000 and I have a side job to make $1000 and that's all I risk. If I lose it start over get job make another $1000. Keep my $25g's
This sounds slightly silly to me. If your emotions are under control, you have tested your strategy and paper traded for awhile to learn - put capital in your account and set yourself a limit you are happy to lose till you say trading isn't for you. If you are successful paper trading and not successful trading with actual capital, only thing letting you down is your emotions which is challenging to fix.
For God's sake, trade on a sim until you can prove that you can execute your written trading plan flawlessly and are consistently profitable.

But Arty, whats about : don´t give up? I mean yes, she lost a looots of money . But what if I lose some more money till next year - because it takes me time to work on my issues ? I trade since this february and still was like : I will do it - there`s no plan B. But after watching this vid, I start doubting myself..

NO ONE can predict what the market does... anyone that says they can are lying... even if your 5,6,7,8,9 signals flag for you... it still may not work. Money management and a good strategy along with a mindset of... "ANYTHING can happen in the market after i set my trade" should be the way forward... if you expect to win with your strategy then fail... Your mindset is wanting that money back and risking more money with hope. $300k is madness...
luckily I'm very systematic when I need to be. I've got a strategy (15 minutes) now but gosh!!! 7 rules before I enter a trade. The problems come when I have to choose the crypto coins ughhhh! But I'll play small amounts and see how it goes.

Spend the money on a funded account first! Worst case you lose the cost of starting the challenge
I'm over 7 years in still not profitable on a live account, testing out some of you indicators now along with some other things. but I'll never give up as I have a daughter whom needs me to seceed, your content is the best though for keeped us motivated and inspired.
I’m currently 5% in profit on my first week of demo trading. Hopefully at the end of the month I hit 20%
