@@Kuryux i dont agree with you at all and what do you mean Use long range? use the freaking long range weapons just like he said in the video duhhhh and for the majority of the time high stance is only good if you are a tank build because you can tank hits and still go through with it, high stance is slow perfect for tank builds so most of the time i use normal stance thats mid stance because normally thats what you use mid stance is quick and it does good damage i honestly just use high stance on yokai to try to get a headshot other then that forget about it yeah some people say to just doge in low stance and hit one or two times the boss in high stance and repeat that over and over its to slow honestly and not good enough if you did that but just sticking to mid stance you can land more hits do a lot more damage in less times, high stance is not practical for this game the key is speed and damage period.

I find that running around constantly in low stance, observing enemy attack patterns, and exploiting their openings in high stance makes boss fights really safe and almost easy lol
Yokai with the glowing red horns are best attacked after they atttack with high stance, it chops down on their horn which removes all their ki stunning them.
It's great vid, I'm right now on my way to the finish using katana only and focusing on magic with it. Using mid and high stance (mid for regular oponent, high for yokai). Yokai have a hudge time delay between end of their combo and next attack and that gives me time to double x and triangle those fuckers almost always killing them and if I want to play safe I use just heavy attack in high stance after their combo and in 4-5 hits fight is done. Very usefull thing in here is to hit them with uppercut to destroy hornes as that stun them. With boss fights you have to learn patterns and sometimes dodge sometimes parry stances also changes. Magic is way more than just elements as it's about using whole power of your spirit and there is really op spell that slows down every oponent (even bosses but sometimes it's even harder to fight them with it as it's totally diferent timing with parry etc.). Hope this comment will help someone and keep a good job with vid as they are always usefull

I finished this game when the original version released bacl on PS4. I finished the game after a LOT of hard work and grinding as a newcomer to souls-likes at the time. The whole time, I never even realised what the samurai, ninja and magic points were for. I played the whole game without skills and abilities. Completely hamstringed myself by accident. Now I started a PS5 Remastered playthrough. I main, for most enemies and bosses, High Stance with an Axe. I find it so satisfying. I love this game

Disagree that HS is useless against bosses. That should be it’s simply a stance that requires the greatest skill to use effectively. Yes I understand your comment is from your perspective and as such it should only be presented as such. I just recently started experiencing Nioh but my enjoyable experience with Ninja Gaiden Black when there wasn’t a RUclips means you the player learn how to play your way no matter how long that takes. Players nowadays want things completed for them, brainwashed into doing only what everyone else is doing not being taught to Think for themselves, that’s not gaming that’s nothing more than existing.
if you try to aim bow/rifle and the target is yellow it mean you are to far. and if your weapon does not have long ranger damage skill, you will not do to much damage

I quit playing Demon's Souls because it only saves when you beat a boss. Sometimes you play hours and die accidently or for any reason you must stop playing and all your progress is lost. I played and quit bloodbourne too, for the same reason. Nioh seems amazing and it brings me back onimusha but the point is Can I save my progress? Or is it like Demon's Souls? If it's the same, I keep away same as Dark Souls. I want to enjoy not get frustrated.
You will get frusterated 100% then.. This game is a lot more grindy, however the combat is as this video proves, stellar! When you die you return to the last shrine much like bloodborne or deamon souls. No option to save your own progress
Something tells me also that you didn't really spend much time trying. These games require patience and Nioh more so than any souls game require a lot of time
Your videos are far superior to everything else out there! I'm struggling trying to figure out the dashing Ki pulse (Living Water) plus switching a stance for the bonus Ki recovery. It seems to me standing still Ki pulse (R1) + a stance change gives the Ki recovery bonus, but I'm unable to both dash/dodge pulse AND switch stances. Is this even possible?

@@8Kibosh8 I know this is 6 years old but yes you can swap stances DURING dodge which also Ki pulses since they are bound to the same button. The game is rocket science to explain but don’t try to understand it, just play it and the knowledge will come.
+SupahFly Yes, onmyo in general is overpowered as hell. Sloth makes easy work of anything. Sloth, carnage, armor debuf and weakness to an element and youre gonna make everything melt. Its gonna get patched cause it is too easy and is ruining the game.
Hi, for some reason I can't switch from level 1 to level 2 skill. I have learn them but not showing up in my skill tree where I switch between the skills I want to use. What am I doing wrong or am missing?

Fully agree....they almost put too much stuff into it. It's most definitely overwhelming for a new player. I actually just picked it up yesterday and I'm around 5 or so hours into it. I'm figuring things out slowly, but it is alot to take in
The only thing I hate about nioh1 is how overpowered sword and WoW armor is. You can breeze through the whole game with this set up OR you can suffer using tons of mismatched bs crap builds and increase your playtime for no reason other than bad game design. Just use raikiri WoW armor with raiken spirit: win game.

I've found combo finishes to be completely pointless so far, everytime when I try to start a combo the enemy just blocks (or as they don't suffer stagger hit me) which means you can't do the combo finisher move.
Barnesofthenorth If I understand correctly, the combo finisher is the roundhouse kick. The roundhouse kick depletes the enemies ki more than any other attack. If you stick and move (push square once then triangle), you can delete their ki faster and then perform the finishing move. You do have to land the first hit though. If they block it won't work.
+Shaidar289 Then you need to start focusing on attributes that affect weapons that youre using. Dont level every attribute. Its a waste. Level your character more, focus on specific stats and use highest level equipment but only blue or purple. There are no uber weapons that one shot everything

high stance for more damage (very useful for sneak attacks), mid stance for better blocking, low stance for better dodging

Exactly, I almost never use high or mid stance. I prefer to beat my opponents with skill and finesse as opposed to overpowering.
Same, though if you're doing that at level 10 on the first boss, with only dual swords it takes a long ass time. lol

You save at bonfires in demons souls and there’ are shrines in nioh...not sure why you think it only saves when you beat a boss

Shrines respawn enemies so i use that to practice.... Good for training
Bloodborne and Dark Souls saves on every step you take.

+Greg Dolasinski Some skills like Haze 2 are automatic. What i mean is you dont have to equip them to be able to use them. They are a direct upgrade.

It is poorly communicated in the game, that it is an upgrade to the dodge button/mechanic. So not your fault.
