Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. I spent 16 years letting people believe our relationship was ok. After we bought our first home I found out he has a gf behind my back for 3 years. He started taking her all over the place after we moved into the home. He wanted people to think I knew and approved of the gf. I moved out after three months. He’s losing his home, he lost his job, he’s lost friends. I didn’t even have to lift a finger. He exposed himself.

My ex messed up at work, and had the audacity to blame ME for getting fired... After kicking his a$$ to the curb and going no contact on him; he's still trying to reach out and "help" me with my health problems. 🙄

It was kinda opposite for me, it was difficult to sleep when she would constantly create chaos and stressful fights for days, one day I went into work tired af and drained and unfortunately dozed off for a few minutes.
It was also of course my fault for allowing it to happen, and I never blamed anyone at the time, then when the relationship imploded and I was being discarded I had enough and told her all the pain she caused including the reason I can't sleep and why I got fired. She had 0 reaction and just said "you should sleep more" and she offered to help me with dating randomly after saying she never actually loved me... like she felt pity on me seeing how hurt I was by her actions and words.
They are secretive, but want to know and spread all your business...

Yes!! From what he told me, it sounded like all he talked about at the bar is what he thought I was doing. He spent no time at home, but talked about wife and kids all the time, as if he knew
He had a job and met new people all the time. Had a much more interesting life than me.
Even told people about the terrible abuse I suffered and they came questioning me about it. This happened as a teenager to me.

But they have to know the saying: Lies have short legs... (Sometimes longer). But with them everything comes at the surface and it will be wild with them then. But truth always wins!

My narc husband is very secretive. Everything is a secret. He tries to keep me in the dark about EVERYTHING. And of course he doesn’t want others knowing how awful he treats me and my loved ones. His family enables and supports his abusive ways too.

He always accused me of being secretive. After leaving, I found out he was hiding so much more than I could imagine. Definitely very secretive about the money. He was hiding it from me.
Yep! Gambling, crazy spending, many ' business' trips, and ~$87K in debt. All while he tried to drain me of every dime of my $40K annual income and he was making $120K. I feel so STUPID after 16 yrs of marriage....Currently in a 6 month divorce that he's DRAGGING out!😢

Some of the narcissists in my family were very good with money. Others could benefit from 12-Step programs like Debtors' Anonymous and Underearners' Anonymous.
@@Mica-e4p Like with all things, there’s not a 💯 of anything…. Just stating facts about many narcissists I know…. I think class makes a difference too…. I think most narcissists that aren’t good with money are the lazy ones. The ones that come from poor and too lazy to level themselves up to the status of life they want so they spend money pretending they are on that level. There are also those that were brought up in a wealthy or well off family and they are too lazy to keep up the level of status their parents or grandparents worked for so they spend money pretending to be something they are too lazy to keep…. But, I totally believe you. I’ve seen them both but because of my own background personally I’ve seen MORE of those I mentioned. ❤️🙏

Man… my ex used to be SO secretive. She wouldn’t want to tell me the gym she was going to, what holidays she was thinking of, who she was with, ah man… it’s fucking draining and NOT NORMAL.
In my experience, they compartmentalize every relationship for silo effect because they're literally a different person with every person they know.
And much like in Ghostbusters, crossing the streams of radically different stories with many different people is bad for them.
I figured it really fast that he knew what he was doing. But I still stayed. I've blocked him him now it's been only 3 weeks. 2024 will be my year I'm putting me first for the first time. I have a lot of work to do on me.

Mine would stay quiet, and just ask questions. When I tried to ask him stuff, he would tell me that he didn't like being asked questions..he would say that he didn't want any drama. Or my favorite,"It's personal". (Therefore he couldn't share anything with me.)
Yes! "I don't like to be asked questions about my life or anything I've said in the past" "I don't want drama only peace." "That is in the past, I don't talk about the past" even when the past was only a few days or week ago 🙄
They will question the hell outta you or a situation to gather as much information as they can to play you later. But they NEVER divulge as much as they ask others. Definitely a manipulative ploy

Narcissist are addicted to a game of the simulation of life-like a video game in their heads. And they can’t refrain from playing these stupid games in their head. They may feel like they are winning by their standards, but they just are creating a very lonely situation for themselves because they alienate people around them who Love them with these games. Charlie Sheen is “winning” better than these sad fools.
The last narc I dated was sooooooo secret … he wouldn’t tell me what he did for work.. wouldn’t describe hobbies .. literally nothing!!! I had to research on my own and …. Yea. He def had some things to be ashamed of.

For mine, it was a form of control over me because he had literally nothing else to manipulate me with. My house, my car, my money. One of those 'hobosexual' narcs sadly .
I'm still married to my Narc. OMG!!! I think he thinks that I 'm this stupid. Every afternoon at the same time he has somewhere to go, always lying about where he is going, I know he's got a new girlfriend because I saw her in my vision while praying. He is so 😳 suspicious and he thinks I'm that dumb. Last night he went out, he kept calling me and calling, do you know why? Because he wanted to control the situation because by h😢 calling me every hour, he's checking whether or not I 'm in a good mood, earlier in the day he told me he wasn't going to go out in the evening.I was in the living room praying and it was 8am when he came to me saying; let me borrow your car 🚗 I have to drop something over at Vel's house 🏠 I was thinking 🤔 who on earth goes to people's house to drop a bottle of vodka for a party on the next day?! When he came back, I was like; are you going to his house later, and his answer was like; no! Not going anywhere later. Then that same day, he was like; I 'm going to Vel's house, I 'm not doing anything in the house just sitting around. He kept calling me the whole time he was gone, I never answered the phone, while I was walking, I usually go for a walk when the weather is favorable, I saw him coming toward me, he was like; why you don't answer the phone when I called you,I must have called eight times, lies! He only called three times. Now, we're walking back home together, he was trying to start an argument with me and I was like; go ahead start talking S&$#@T! See if I'm not going to leave you and find another path to walk home, he then stopped talking crap. I forgot to mention he brought a plate of food for me when I didn't even ask him, and he knew full well that I didn't need any food because I cooked the day before, and I had enough leftovers. I think he knows that I know about his new supply. He is supposed to travel to Ohio to get a new job, I can't wait because I started the divorce process already. The other day he came home to find me and my children were at the table eating together ( not his children) and he got very upset, because he was out that night, like I was supposed to call 😔 him to tell him to come and eat with us, my older daughter can't stand him and they're not so cozy with him ☹️ I don't even know why he would be that upset about something as meaningless as that. This man is a user, he bought a big bottle of vodka ($60.) as gift for his friend while he didn't even get me a present for Christmas, 😭 showing off to his friend, he told me he didn't have any money 💰

A lot of people understand the narcissist is a jerk. They understand the narc is playing games. It is more trouble than it is worth to call them out on their bad behavior than to “go along to get along.” Going along to get along is co-dependency. Would not advise other people to call out narcissists, but I don’t mind doing it. It is narcissistic kryptonite.
I lived in a toxic relationship for 23 years and it does not get easy, they actually are worst.

Got to say - most that are being secretive - Are NOT good at it at all ! But in their world they don’t see what we see ! It’s kinda like the joke is on them & they end up looking even more pathetic- the more they try. They think we see them as the way they want to be seen and it’s really not like that at all .

Oh my God, i just learned what a narcissist is after my husband started to accuse me of being a narcissist for wanting to leave our 20 year (10 children) relationship. I had gotten to the point where i just couldn't take it anymore, and had fully accepted that the possibility of being single for the rest of my life was a price I was willing to pay for my freedom. After he started calling me a narcissist, i started doing my own research on what it was, and my gosh! In this video you hit on so much of my story for the past 20 years of my life. Currently, I am trapped in this due to circumstances, and i had even considered just giving up and accepting that this is what it is and it will always be this way. But you have reinvigorated my drive to get myself out of this. Thank you. The thing that you said that really did it for me was saying that they know what they are doing. I have spent the last 20 years saying that he just doesn't see himself, and if he could he wouldn't act the way he acts or treat me the way he treats me. I really believed that he just didn't know or understand that the things he says and does are so hurtful and harmful. Oh my goodness everything you said. The protecting his image. How everyone in our community holds him with such a high esteem. If i left, i would be the evil one. I would be the worldly wife who wants to ruin our family. I've recently learned that he gives away money in the thousands to people in our community, but will only spend $160 in groceries a week for his pregnant wife and 9 children. There was a time a few years ago when he was donating to community charities to the tune of thousands of dollars at a time while our children had green stained teeth because they were so hungry they were eating whatever they could find outside. We lived out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but fields around us. I genuinely believed at the time that this was just the conditions God has us in right now and would never complain about anything because it is God's will. I genuinely believed he was doing the best he could for our family, and thought that he kept finances from me because he was embarrassed by how little he made. Turns out that couldn't have been further from the truth. It will not be easy to get out of this, but I know God is showing me all this for a reason. Everytime i think about giving up, God shows me something else.

He was secretive with MY MONEY that I sent him to spend on something specific… and lied.

I referred to this one as being "squirrelly" always flitting around all nervous, couldn't give me a straight answer even about basic things like "where are you working?" I would ask "What's new" and he would always say "nothing" Then I would find out from others there was a TON of new things going on, things he was keeping from me. When we were married he got angry and gave me silent treatment for 2 says b/c I questioned some weird transactions in our joint checking account. Divorced him & went block and no contact...I don't have time for dishonesty.
This line resonates… “you might be protecting yourself by keeping their secrets.” I learned the hard way that bursting someone’s “perfect image bubble” can be dangerous… Now I believe that when someone shows me who they truly are, that is my green light to simply remove myself from the situation, no drama needed.

His mother when I first met him she said " He's gonna be a big let down. He can hold onto a job but he is a drunk and a weed-head" Even his sister said similar things but they are still hang out with him and would always want us to work things out. 11 years later.. I left and he stalked me leaving notes and flowers and hundreds of voicemails and texts and he wont leave me alone. Even the cops warned him but he comes back and judge wont honor R.O. crazy. My narc wanted everyone to think he was my blessing but at home he would take off his belt and act like he wanted to beat me. We both are over 60. He would tell his boys to bail him out after he busted my lip in front of me to upset me. When I told him to try it, he would tell his boys, see how nasty she is? The more I did for him, the meaner he became so I decided to do nothing for him.
I prayed he would move out of my home... he did, by the grace of God. He was homeless and slept on his nephew's twin bed for two years and wants me to feel guilty about his situation. NOT. Two years later, he is fake romanticizing and future faking about our relationship and wants to start over.
He kept me in the dark about a lot of his dealings and wanted me to not be curious. He keeps his exes on speed dial and talk with them out of my presence. He tells me no one else will "put up with my shit." He told me he is the best thing that ever happened to me in my life...OK. I told him I would rather die alone than be with him again.
Every ex I have allowed to be friends, wanted to remember how great we were in bed. No thanks. Don't be a side piece and don't let them ruin any new relationships you may get involved in. Trust me, they don't care if you cheat on your new current relationship because they will be cheating on their current muse. They crave the DRAMA and watching your beautiful spirit DIM. After they stress the hell out of you, wear you down, crush your courage, they will criticize everything about you. Mine would say, excuse me, my dime is calling. He implied I was less than a dime. He refuse to see the Kevin Samuels red pill behavior in himself.
I can't go full no contact because we share niece and nephew. My sister and his brother have children together so I see him when our family gather.

I had been telling people for well over a decade. At least 14 years…. Because I had people around me that had/being abused or men cheating and such everyone acted like it wasn’t a big deal. I was never able to get any evidence of cheating during the marriage…. They really don’t want people to know. That’s one reason they want to be our friend after the relationship so we can look like a liar to those we did tell and to keep us from telling others…. Think about this; if it was so bad why would you want to be their friend? My soon to be ex-husband was too lowdown and dirty and tried to take me off this earth by emotionally, verbally and mentally abusing me knowing stress flares up my disease. I would tell him and he would push harder. I don’t care if I ever see him again. I really hope I don’t once this divorce is over.

@@JessMariaDwyer 😞🙏. Yeah, I am blessed to be alive. I’ve been in this mess for 34 years; 35 in March. He is a covert so at first he did small things like making fun of me. That’s how he started. I’ve figured out too it wasn’t that bad for me in the beginning too because he was kinda bullying my oldest daughter. He was like a kid. 🤦♀️. Got really bad after I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2006 and when I had to stop working full-time in 2009 it was on…. It was like a light switch. Horrible. I immediately felt it and want out it was so intense as I had already suffered for 20 years by then. I thought I was being a good Christian wife helping him through what was wrong with him and I had come from a toxic environment so I was raised to take a lot of pain from people. I think everyone should seek counseling before marriage and I am not talking about those 2 second counseling sessions they give one time before you get married. 😞🙏

Oh, my sweet Jesus! I can not believe this is so accurate. I was never crazy after all. Something was always wrong. It's the secretive nature that was telling. I used to always want to know why. Now I do. He was an Assistant Pastor and fell apart and felt hurt because I shared with someone that he had cheated years ago. The nerve of HIM to be hurt because someone knows he did some really terrible things? He once sent a text and asked me if I followed through on telling someone in the church about how he treats me behind closed doors. I did not but the fact that he asked if I did was weird. I am truly grateful to God that my eyes are open. I did not waste any time. I learned so much and am the better for it! Shame on YOU, Sir! (and you know who you are)

The reason I started audio recording, I just I wish I would’ve started sooner. Deflecting, gaslighting, manipulation, lying, playing victim, future faking was a strong force in my better half Jedi!! When you realize lies from 2013 to current, DAMN younger self😳 we really overlooked flags because of her beauty?
He had no issue letting everyone know about me..I mean why not..I had the big house, supported him and he was able to look like the perfect family man helping with my son. His money..always in debt and hiding purchases because he had to keep up with people that didn't think twice of him which was sad..in competition with people who wouldn't care if he went missing today.

Thank you for this video because it makes sense. The only person who was allowed to tell anything was my ex narcissist, and that was to make him look good and me look crazy. I recall correcting things that he would say about me to his son and his son would repeat what he said to me (that he wasn't supposed to tell me), and my ex narcissist would get mad at me for telling the truth. Me correcting what was said was me telling our business not that he lied on me to make himself look like a victim and he would literally get mad at me and I believe me exposing the truth changed how he saw me too
And they don't like that.

Some abuse is Withholding. Withholding finances, affection, INFORMATION, sex. Our government withholds information too. I think the medical community does too.
The narcissistic in my life is my sister-in-law. We are married to brothers.
She saved for an entire year to send her husband, along with his brothers (my husband) on a ski trip. She planned it along with the third brother. The third brother lived in another state, and she lived a few houses down the street. Neither ever mentioned a word about it. When it was time to start packing, that’s when the third brother finally called my husband to discuss the details. He was shocked that my husband didn’t know anything about it. He assumed that my sister-in-law was keeping us updated. She never said one single word.
My husband could not go because we had not budgeted for it. It was awkward and embarrassing. I feel that she was purposefully being secretive, but it was also a way to dismiss us and demean us.
I could go on and on, but we are not in contact now. I could not deal with her, and I finally cut her off.

This is so true… my brother is a narcissist… to the point he has a “special needs” child. Who is super smart… but he keep his child away from all us brothers and family members. The child is now 21, and he refuses for us to call him and or see him. It’s a true sickness. He even laugh at us when we pleaded with him for us to spend time with his son. Narcissistic people like this… need to find the pit of hell. I’m glad this video is here and it does my heart well to see and hear you seek heal and therapy.

I have a doorbell camera recording of my soon to be ex narc telling his girlfriend he made a 5 figure commission check but when it came time to pay child support at the temporary hearing he “only makes $35k” and I let him struggle financially in the marriage. I guess the $300+ custom shirts and pants he wore were gifts.

After he sacrificed drinking for me, less than a year later I asked him what he wanted for Father’s Day and he said hard seltzer. Less than a week later he started drinking out of our closet. When I asked what he was drinking, he said his alcohol. I said, I thought we were in reconciliation and that we’d talk about everything. He said that I already knew he was drinking again. I said no I didn’t and that he never said a thing. He stuck to his story of I already knew. For the next 3 yrs. he’s been secretively drinking hiding it from our kids. They still don’t know that he drinks again. Gosh smh. He’s so private, secretive, reserved, quiet etc.

Thanx Lee this is so true I experienced this with my ex narc, he was very secretive with his pH & then he would walk out of the relationship for 3 months then come back like nothing happened. I was suspicious of him cheating talking to other woman while he was gone then come back like nothing had happened.
It was a continuous pattern so I finally realised that I couldn't deal with his toxic behaviour anymore so I left & gone NC.
I dated a fireman and I will never ever date a fireman again that was completely him everything was a secret because he has to look like a good person

Narc got so mad that I exposed them and blocked them, that they filed false charges against me after months of me blocking and having no contact. So I had my attorney send it all to the court as evidence. The judge dismissed the narcs case!!🤣

This reminds me of my ex husband. Nearly 4 years on he still hasn't told his dad we are divorced and going through this craziness.
