I did manage to get windows 11 on my imac 10,1 late 2009 which had the intel core 2 duo but had 12gb ram but I then used open core legacy patcher tp patch sonoma on it as I then upgraded the ram to 16gb and it was quad channel for 12gb ram I just replaced 2 of the 2gb sticks to 4gb sticks
i got windows 11 to install on my 17" 2006 imac i got from a thrift store it was a pain and barely even usable lol cus well 2gb of ram vs windows 11 by first installing windows xp cus i couldnt install 7 for whatever reason than updating to vista than 7 than 11 it was a pain in the butt lol and not worth it but it was neat than i put linux back on it and started using it to watch hulu when i went to bed lol

Microsoft recommends using an SSD for Windows 11. Android apps on WIndows 11 require an SSD. Windows 11 does run slower on a mechanical hard drive
