after looking at a bunch of tutorials for dubstep I now have a bunch of cool sounds/presets i can use for my drops but the thing is there arent a lot of tutorials that show a good way to USE those sounds properly and arrange them correctly thats why I think we need more tutorials like this one
There’s none out there I’ve looked. Try doing one note and automate the lfo speeds in different areas and create a rhythm. You want your lfo to your volume and cutoff and resonance filter. Experiment. A rest is just as important as a note.
I will tell you that it really takes time and effort. Most of my attempts suck but once in a while I get something I’m happy with. Like you really have to throw a lot of sh1t at the wall until something finally sticks.
oh nooooo i noticed a vr impact sample from heavy bass design volume 2 in the introooo i mean i respect people using vr samples but like i cant unhear it
Thank you for this information! This is true, but i think rules like this are what prevents people from creating interesting sounds. When it comes to sound design, anything goes, as long as it sounds cool! 9/10 people cant hear "phase cancelation". just do what sounds good and use your ears (:
Ive heard that (in Ableton) you can correct that by creating two parallel tracks in a rack, both have your VST of choice (one that changes phase), and keep one at 0% mix. That way the phase of the 0% mix signal is still affected alongside your wet signal BUT is playing your dry sound. So phase is coherent again.
Yes, most likely a good choice so that you can make sure everything collapses down into mono, but also can sound wide when on stereo systems. @@Artersa

vr isnt even real
V who? Man give me those samples then. I’ll use them you’ll love it and everyone can kiss my ass afterwards.
Using tantrum is rly effective but only in parallel as it destroys the phase as its a phase distorter
